is this a confined to Canada weather phenomenon, or is this happening in the states too?

Heh. I dunno. We're not experiencing this here in Iowa, but over in D.C. and Virginia it was way, way, too hot. And way, way, too humid.

You know nothing of heat. I work in a factory. When i'm at work, we have 90 degree weather outside, but the building has no cooling. What it does have is many many heat creating lights, lots of heat creating workers, and an oven for baking finished parts that I happen to work right next to. Over all, I think that the average temperature in that building is about 110 degrees, and that's for places that aren't right next to the god damned oven.
I think I work in closer to 125 degrees.
This, of course, is in Farenheit. In Celcius, it's closer to 49 degrees.

I work at A&W. on the Stove. for 6 hours straight. I have grease burns on my arm, since I suck at my job. I am not doubting you suffer worst; just saying I know something of heat. hot, sticky, smelly heat.

FenrisWolf is right. Here in VA it has been crazy hot for about a week. Luckily, if you don't like the weather in VA, all you have to do is wait a week. It'll probably drop into to 60's this week, no matter what the weather guys say.
wow, I used the word week a lot.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but NO HEAT IN FINLAND! Sure, it's warm and all that, but I couldn't really say that it's hot. Pretty much at 20 degrees Celcius, perhaps a bit more or even a bit less.

Maybe itll still be there on thursday when i go visit my aunt :p

I'm in California, and it's actually pretty cool here.
It rained the other day, but it's been sunny the last couple days. Warm but not hot!
Yay for the psycotic global weather changes!!

It's pretty rainy here in Ottawa, and it's doing *dick* all to stop the heatwave. It was closing in on 40 degrees in the afternoon a few days ago (including humidity). DEATH.

It's pretty fargin' hot here in Massachusetts - 'bout 95/100 degrees Fahrenheit out. This is, of course, right after New England has one of the coldest winters of the year... And I'll guarantee that in a few weeks it's going to be 70 degrees outside my house.
Weather sucks.

Well, I never go outside, so I really have no idea what the temperature here in WA is. It's been pretty hot for here recently, though. The high has probably been around 86 Fahrenheit or so. Of course, I used to live in California. 86 Fahrenheit there is nothing. Everyone around here has been complaining about the heat, while I don't feel a thing. Wimps.

Yeah like stated previously, California is moderately warm. I went to Great America (graduation) and it rained.
Oh, and it's always nicer when it comes to weather here.

Apathy is right, here in Massachusets(I can't believe anyone else on here lives in MA, I thought I was the only one), for the next few days it's gonna be hotter then I imagined, I had to work in a charity event today, 4 freakin hours in the sun I thought I was gonna die . I praise anyone below the temperature of 79 degrees, lemme in on some of that action.

Not so much hot here in St. Louis.... It generally is around 90 degrees this time of year, but it has been rather dry.
Though we've been getting some thunderstorms regularly this past week.

Where I live (not too far from Orillia, actually) it was 39/102 degrees today. I'm eagerly awaiting rain.

I'm not feeling the heat quite as much as Dynamite, mostly because I don't work in a factory. :p (Well, I don't work at all, but that's beside the point.) However, it does suck having to mow the lawn when it's 90F out (about 35C, I think).

lemme in on some of that action.
YOU COPIED ME!!! i said "lemme in on some of that action" first!!! anyway...
yea i remember not 2 weeks ago it we still had highs in the 50s on an almost daily basis down in SOUTH :bmage: fuggin :bmage: CAROLINA!!! and we usually get out of the 50's weather about february. and in january we had temperatures into the 70's and 80's almost daily. if i didnt know better, id say the seasons are starting to delay themselves, or their atleast their switching themselves around to confuse us...you know EL Nino and El Nina

I'm in Michigan. It's 11:30. The temperature is currently 74 Farenheit with 100% humidity. Let me mention that it's 11:30 PM. I'm moving tomorrow. Heavy boxes. Heat wave. All we need now is a power outage.

Nice and warm here in Bristol, England. Sun streaming through the window. Gentle wind blowing. And here I am, in an attic with no windows and no source of cool air. Fuck.
Anyways, if anyone is interested (I sure am) there's a website that keeps up to date with the tropical storms aka wanna-be-hurricanes.

Weird... it's hot up in Canada, but here, in Louisiana, where I suspect heat is manufactured, it's only in the 70's(F).

The last little while, around here in Utah, we've been 5-10* below normal. It's been nice...but we're going back to normal (90s) by the middle of this week.
Alas...comfortable temperatures were nice while they lasted.

Heat wave? What's that? It might be going on here in Texas. Once you get past 95 degrees, you can't really tell the difference.

Looks like it finally hit me. (http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=10001#HEA) Not like I needed any more heat and humidity, really. I have to note that I don't live in NYC, but I'm close enough (half an hour away) that their weather mirrors ours.
Also, RaiRai, I'm in the same boat. I have no AC, it's an average of 80 degrees inside my house, and the humidity makes you feel like taking a shower every ten minutes. Screw you, Canada! Take your devil weather and go sink in the Atlantic!
