This may indeed go nowhere. This may indeed go to fame and (improbable but possible) fortune. I'm not sure why I'm doing this now rather than later but I have a tendency to jump head first into projects like this.
To cut to the chase: I am a writer, and have a story-line. I have a story-line that looking at it, seems to suggest that the best medium to portray it would be a visual medium; namely, comics. Unfortunately, I haven't the artistic talent in order to portray the ideas that are in my head.
And that's where you come in. It is a fantasy setting, and will require someone capable of drawing action sequences involving swords, etc.
Anyone interested?

You could always use sprites. They require no talent. Anyone can do them. [/sarcasm]
The sad thing is, a lot of people believe that...
Could you give us more information about this project? I think that I do (http://www.fortunasaga.com/pages/part2.htm) decent (http://www.fortunasaga.com/pages/comic87.htm) backgrounds (http://www.fortunasaga.com/pages/comic4.htm) if I spend enough time on it.

I've seen your background art before, and its a good deal better than decent.
You ask for more information: I answer.
As far as execution is concerned: I don't know. The Interweb is the easiest way of reaching audience, so it will probably end up being that.
As far as the actual story itself: I came up with this setting earlier this year. The world itself is largely unformed. I'm not sure how much more detail I'll go into as far as geography is concerned, but that can be talked over before work is begun. The name I'm running with right now is Swordsman: The Legend of Levius Kern (title subject to change) which details the life of a young man whose entire life is destroyed by a greedy man after a powerful artifact said to be below our protagonist's village, how Levius accidentally gets the artifact before anyone else, and his further search for revenge against the ones responsible for the death of his family and friends.

I'm not so much a background or colour person, but I can draw and shade figures fairly well (*points to sig*) and the idea of a making a webcomic sounds fun, so...
Edit: Also, of you're looking for anime, I can't help you, and like CJ mentioned, I don't know how much I'd be able to do due to school. How often would your comic be updated?

What style are you looking for? Anime? RPG-world kinda style? I'm not sure if I'd be able to help a ton (I have problems with finishing projects, besides the one comic I'm already doing, and I'd hate to say I will help, and then be unable to due to artist's block and such) But I could help a little, (such as character designs, or something like that) Just let me know if I could be of use somehow.

well, as far as artwork goes, I'm down with anything so long as it isn't too cartoony. This is a serious story, after all. Anime, Marvel/DC, RPG-style; any of them works.
Lets see. I'm going to give a basic description of what I have as far as the main character is concerned. Anyone who wants to create a character design is welcome. Consider it a try-out run so that I can get a handle over how each of you who's interested would do it.
The main character is probably in his late teens, a lithe frame, not overly muscular. Brooding type, although wasn't always like that. Well, you know, the emotional effects of someone who's friends and family have all been killed.
Beyond that, I'll let you guys decide the rest. Do it in whatever style you're most comfortable in, and make the character look however you wish him to look in my description. Most of all, have fun! Have at ye!
