OMG!!! TEH FUN HAS ARRIVED!!!! This game is extremely awesome, extremely unique, full of countless hours of fun, plenty or replay value and minigame challanges! This is easily one of the best games out for the DS and for the rest of it's lifespan. It uses the touchpad to it's full potential and creates something that is only available on this handheld. definitely a 9-9.5/10 game
Anybody else play this yet?

I haven't (darn lack of a DS, you've failed me again..) but it seems someone (http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/review/925174.html) likes it.
I agree entirely with Penny Arcade (http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php3?date=2005-06-08&res=l).
And I've only played it for an hour so far. Dunno how Luce knows about the replay value already. Considering it came out today.

Got it yesterday. Beat it this evening. It's actually pretty fun and engaging considering all you're doing is drawing lines. There's surprisingly a lot of replay value. There're the medals, Rainbow Run (2 modes), boss minigames, hidden balls (get your mind out of the gutter), and the infamous sound check that still mysteriously keeps me enterained for hours. It's only in Kirby games, though; all other sound checks are crap.
By far the most annoying thing are those "null zones" whrere you can't draw lines. You get so used to being able to draw a path out that you feel pretty helpless without it. Another really annoying thing were the Paint Roller boss battles. I kept stopping for a half a second and getting that damned WRONG buzz nose repeatedly. The last boss (not saying any names) is really freaking tough, I lost about 6 lives in the first form alone. Second form was hella easy, though.
It's relieving to finally see a game that actually used the touch screen, rather than just having it as a novelty. It's like what Ape Escape was to the DualShock controller.
Ah, the rain. Gods, I hates it.
Just beat Level 3. I am trying to stretch out the enjoyment period of this game, because I have a few months before PUPPIES!
Anyways, I disliked the Dedede boss stage. Kracko's pretty easy, though.

well actually I got the game on monday, that's how I already know, I've beaten the game and am working on getting all of the medels, some of which are pretty damn hard to get. I've got 140 medels right now and am working my way up. I've gotten most of the cake ones and now it's down to getting some more of the difficult time trials and line trials.

My brother got it today, and I experienced a fun 14 minutes on the first level. Right after I beat it, my brother stole it. I can understand the replay value, though. I mean, what are ya going to do? Draw every line the same way for every level you do over? Every time you replay it, it's a little different. Freakin' sweet.
I'd say the DS can finally say it has a game worth getting no matter what.
SM64DS was good, Polarium was nice, Feel The Magic was good for a quick rush, Yoshi Touch & Go was a good game if it was more complex and longer (like 4x longer), and Warioware: Touched! and Pac-Pix deserved to be good games to munch up time, but had only poor replay value.
Btw, anyone play that Goldeneye game for the DS?
Really with this game, I thinkVG Cats got it right (http://www.vgcats.com/comics/)

I really like this game. It was an innovative idea, and it's actually challenging. It is just a little one-dimensional - after a while, you stop seeing new stuff. I wish you could do more with the stylus, and also that loop-de-loops were more useful. Also, is it just me sucking, or is it really hard to get a good rating on the boss levels? However, the music is good and the minigames are fun. It's great for about 15 hours, but then it just seems to be kinda boring.
Myst, I counter your comic with one of my own! (http://www.penny-arcade.com/view.php?date=2005-06-08&res=l)

The only boss game that is hard for me to get an "A" rating on is the Dedede cart game. I just can't get good at it. The painting game is easy, just make sure your accurate and draw straight lines. It gets really crazy eventually, that's basically the point where you've already got an "A" rating. In the Kracko game, it's hard to control Kirby accurately, so I just tried to break as many blocks as possible. A got an "AA" my second try doing that.
What really sucks is how I can't find my damned DS! GAAAHHHH! I really want to play it again.
Link, sorry to dissapoint you, but MFD already linked to that comic.

Hm, I just must be bad at drawing or something. Stupid paint evil demon thingy.
And now I hang my head in shame at my poor post-reading skills.

I know I'm a little late on this, but I FINALLY have this thing, and I haven't had this much fun with a game in years. I just love experimenting to see just how crazy I can get with the lines in an attempt to finish a level.
The game is also much harder than I expected... this is the first Kirby game I've ever had trouble with. The line trials and time trials are going to keep me busy for a loooooong time.
As for my favorite subgame, it'd have to be Paint Roller, even though it has a tendency to tell me I drew something wrong, even when I didn't. As much as I love seeing King Dedede, I HATE his subgame, because it moves too fast for you to avoid the Gordos. The level 3 version of that game is freaking insane.
