All of the PCs don't have to be together you know. I'm perfectly fine with them spliting up into groups, who will eventually meet again.
There doesn't have to be a massive problem. Most of the PCs are wanderers, maybe some of them will decide to travel together, because being alone is boring and lonely.
Or I could pull out one of those problems if needed.
Edit -
Raiden - Samoht - Dark Elf Lightning
Rhiya - Bismuth Hesperornis - Chinese dragon/human thingy
Dante - Ssuma the Iron - Psionic magic dodging lizard-man.
SS - Kale Dook - Super Powered Psionic
DaBigg - Artorio - Old Archon paladin war veteran
lazy - Orin Ristal - Guy with cursed right arm
krylo - Theran - Fun loving defensive faerie
Pyros - Kings - Warrior Fire Mana Spirit
Celes - Liana Jeylin - Alchemist
IHMN - Relik - Treasure hunter
Antolone - Lithe "Snow Wolf" Kaiser - Really cold elven swordmaster
Cloud - Shael Nightfire - Wood elf fire/ice sword mage

Incidentally, Ssuma is warm-blooded, he just doesn't like the cold.

Dante, you want to be superior to humans lizard man, you take cold-blooded weakness.
Rhiya Ravenwing
06-23-2005, 10:21 PM
Krylo, Bismuth is a mercenary. She would be hired immediately for one side if war DID break out.
Besides that, i didn't mean the overwater trip to be something major, actually. Something could happen that forced them to go on a boat trip. Not a war. A dispute, yes.
Dante
06-23-2005, 11:12 PM
Dante, you want to be superior to humans lizard man, you take cold-blooded weakness.
And what weakness to Bismuth/Samoht/Pyros/etc. have?
IHateMakingNames
06-23-2005, 11:20 PM
(If they weren't all ready, all of these are now in affect)
Bismuth can't resist shiny objects. Throw a coin in battle, she turns to get it, you beat her over the head. Almost life dependent on magic.
Samoht can't stand light. Make some light, he burns, is blinded, weakened, etc.
Kings is weakened in and around water/extreme cold. Splash your waterskin on him or ice, he is weaker. Life dependent on magic.
Theran burns to the touch of iron, and is weaker around it. Life dependent on magic.
Lithe is weakened when it's hot, and physically weak because he's an elf.
Artorio... Hm... Weakness to evil stuff.
Shael is a wood elf, so he is physically weak (Compared to PCs)
Everyone else is human, and humans suck.
Rhiya Ravenwing
06-24-2005, 04:37 AM
heheh, I can just see it:
*enemy throws a tiny bauble*
Bismuth: SHINY *scrabbles after it*
*enemy takes advantage and beats the crap out of her*
Bismuth: curse you dragon side, CUUUUUURSE YOUUUU!!
PyrosNine
06-24-2005, 12:58 PM
Splash waterskin on him now, not only will he be severely weak, but he'll be stuck in munchkin land until he can reignite.
Splash waterskin when he's surrounded himself with fire for an offensive attack, if it's too little it'll evaporate, too much and it'll boil his skin.
He also is scared to death of Spiders.
EDit: Oh sure, pick on the firey guy.
Krylo
06-24-2005, 04:37 PM
I vote giant spider attack while we're still in the woods.
IHateMakingNames
06-24-2005, 05:41 PM
In truth, he defeated the demi-god Death, but in doing so the pure evil of the demi-god made him crazed and he wandered the desert for days before commiting suicide, but that is a different story.
That didn't happen. For one, it contradicts his current living state. Then, being able to kill Death (Who would not be a demi-god) is just moronic, because he can kill you, and if Death dies, everyone would be immortal.
Cloud Strife
06-24-2005, 07:28 PM
Shael is a wood elf, so he is physically weak (Compared to PCs)
That's about what I was thinking, though for clarification, I was leaning towards being more physically frail, rather than physically weak. Y'know.... less HP instead of less strength.
Krylo
06-24-2005, 10:48 PM
A couple things...
Firstly, Antalone, your posts irritate me. It's hard for me to put into words the reason why, exactly, but I will attempt it:
Before you were off doing your own thing apart from everyone else, which was irritating, because your posts amounted to spam. Now, however, despite being right next to everyone, you're still not doing things with the other people. You're casting spells on them without consent, throwing up giant walls around an area, etc. Really, any one of the characters, at this point, would be perfectly justified killing (or attempting to kill) your character off. You've trapped them in a dome of ice, and started tossing spells at them. AND you jumped away from everyone before doing so, without explaining anything. That's a pretty threatening gesture if I've ever seen one.
In short, you're still off playing your own little game that doesn't really mesh with the game everyone else is playing.
Also, to the others: I'm unsure what the point of Relik having the Icy Lens is if every magical creature ever has magical aura vision. Now, I don't really care. I fully expected Theran being awake to be noticed, although I expected it from Relik. I was unaware that random magical entities, whose professions don't even revolve around magery from what I can tell, can innately see magical auras.
It's just I and Celes were talking and she pointed out how silly it was that everyone has to notice, but no one does anything about it, and I have to agree. Just a good amount of pointing out that x character is special. It's not really a big thing to me... just, silly. I probably wouldn't have even bothered mentioning it, except I was already making a post.
Seriously though--silly and pointless.
Raiden
06-24-2005, 11:00 PM
My guy doesn't have magic view. Hell, he probably couldn't care less if your character dies or not. Just saying.
And seriously, Antolone's post bugged me a bit, too. Going off of what Krylo had said, most of the group had just been attacked by a group of people that wanted to eat their magic. The simple fact that his character managed to approach without getting his throat sliced open is still something left to examine.
The others got in because they were running away, which is usually a sign that they're on your side. He snuck in, and then starting covering our guys in ice.
I was tempted to blast him out of the tree with some lightning, but I keep pleasures like that to IHMN. It's the fun of being a GM.
IHateMakingNames
06-24-2005, 11:15 PM
Antolone, yeah, what krylo said. And what Raiden said. If anyone wants to attack (Not god mod attack though, normal attack) Antolone's character, go ahead. It does seem like he is an enemy, what with the giant dome and then the smaller shields surrounding each person.
As for the magic thing, that was annoying me too. Everyone seems to be able to sense the smallest change in magic.
Rhiya, what exactly is 'dragon vision'? Before, it was made out as more of an emotion reading vision (Based on your first post). Now it seems like magic vision (Icy Lens and magic eaters).
Also, for multiple reasons, I've made crappy little sketches of four characters doing something they did in the RP. Since I want to see with how little quality I can use to get the message across, try to identify the characters and what they are doing.

Why does it look like Samoht's cloak is really just long hair.
Krylo
06-24-2005, 11:20 PM
1: Relik panting after running away from magic eaters, I think? Although I'm unsure why he's holding a snake.
2: Bismuth drinking tea?
3: Samoht... doing something with his sword. Preparing to fight someone, I'm guessing.
4: Looks like Theran drawing energy from the ground.
Also, Raiden, I'm pretty sure the cloak looks like hair because IHMN made these sketches crappy and/or can't draw.
IHateMakingNames
06-24-2005, 11:22 PM
Raiden, I didn't feel like coloring it. And that was a lower quality one. And then it would look just like his skin, so I had to make one of them different.
krylo, Relik has a staff, the Storm Scepter, I have yet to mention in the RP. But he does have it, and has been carrying it with him since the very beginning.
Edit - And, based on one person post (I'm going to assume everyone is as observant as krylo), it seems like I can get the general idea of what I am drawing with crappy quality.
Raiden
06-24-2005, 11:25 PM
I've got nothing against it. I'm just saying.
And CelesJessa made a picture of Samoht quite a while ago. It was really good. I wonder if she still has it...
IHateMakingNames
06-24-2005, 11:27 PM
And not as god-modding as it could have been. :) )
But it was. Same for you Dante.
So either edit those posts (Raiden so he doesn't automaticly hit, Dante would have to edit it accordingly), or I will choose a punishment. As GM, I can do what I want.
CelesJessa

And CelesJessa made a picture of Samoht quite a while ago. It was really good. I wonder if she still has it...
Of course, I have nearly everything I've ever drawn. Unless I gave the only copy to someone.
Also, for some reason, your sketches aren't loading up for me, IHMN.
EDIT: never mind, it must just be my computer, they loaded now.
Raiden
06-24-2005, 11:34 PM
If you can still find it, that'd be great. Let's show IHMN what Samoht REALLY looks like!
Not that you didn't try, IHMN. As long as you gave it your best, that's all we ask.
IHateMakingNames
06-24-2005, 11:39 PM
My best? Puh, I made Samoht's sketch in 30 seconds, at most.
Also, I would make sure you see this (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/showpost.php?p=297871&postcount=20) post. I've all ready got a deliciously evil punishment in store for you, and you probably don't want it to happen.
But if you want to keep the ice elf hitting, in exchange for my punishment, go ahead.
Raiden
06-24-2005, 11:44 PM
Alright, he's not hitting the guy. He's just sending a bolt of lighting flying at him.
EDIT- Actually, it hit the tree. It's a threat, and no one got hurt. And out of curiosity, what would the punishment have been?
IHateMakingNames
06-24-2005, 11:54 PM
Raiden, I'm not going to tell you the punishment. I can save it for later, and it would ruin the suprise.
Also, if all the characters aren't asleep or on guard duty by the 95+ post in the RP, they will be next time I post. So when the next chapter starts it will begin with something new, and in the morning.
Raiden
06-25-2005, 12:00 AM

Sadly, it actually might.

Antalone's character's name isn't Antalone by the way.
DaBigg, I see. Also, the only sleeping character (Confirmed at least) is Kings. Everyone else was happily talking with eachother. And now a tree exploded, so that might wake some people.
Raiden

Technically, it didn't explode. It just shook violently.
Dante

DBM, he's not in the fire. He's still in the tree. My kicking him into the fire was contingent on him falling off.

06-25-2005, 12:40 AM
If you can still find it, that'd be great. Let's show IHMN what Samoht REALLY looks like!
Looking back on it, it's not the best (how long ago did I draw it?), but if you really want it, here's a link to it:
http://img40.echo.cx/my.php?image=samoht4vk.jpg
Also, I meant to say this earlier, but my computer was crappying out, but IHMN's picture of Theran kind of looks like the girl from The Ring.
About Antalone's spell thing. I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be a protective spell or not. But either way, he probably should have asked or waited for a more appropriate time.
Also: IHMN, were those picture to see if you could make RP posts without writing words? just drawings?
IHateMakingNames
06-25-2005, 12:52 AM
Celes, it was around October of '04 that you drew that. And yes to the small typing. Though there would have to be some words (As my example shows). But not nearly as many.
In a chapter or two, this is what my RPs posts will probably look like (But better looking, and possibly colored)

You know, Celes. Your drawing has improved quite a bit since then. If you ever think about drawing Samoht again, be my guest!

Schweeet, Celes. Can I get one for Ssuma? :p
CelesJessa
06-25-2005, 10:33 AM
Celes, it was around October of '04 that you drew that.
Actually, I think it was a year before that. I checked the "date created" of that picture file on my computer and it was Tuesday, July 22, 2003, 12:54:00 PM.
And that makes sense, because I started RPing right befor school let out in June of 2003, I believe, so I probably drew it in July.
And maybe Dante, I don't know how well I can draw lizard people.
And IHMN, that kind of frightens me.
Dante
06-25-2005, 10:42 AM
That would be kinda neat, a comic RP.
IHateMakingNames
06-25-2005, 12:05 PM

What is frightening about it?

An RP post made up entirely of pictures with little captions.
It just doesn't sit completely right.

I prefer my eyes blood free, thank you.

06-25-2005, 05:29 PM
All right, let us have a vote. Who ever wouldn't mind the picture posts, say yea. Those who do, say nay.
krylo, the pictures could look better (And will, but probably not up to the point where the are visually pleasing), but then it would take to long to make a post.
Also, the purpose for the pictures is because writing sucks, in case anyone was curious.
lazy man
06-25-2005, 05:46 PM
I say yea. Mostly because I don't care, but also because it's different. And in my opinion, different is better.
It's also because I can't stand reading a really long post sometimes. Makes things quicker if I just look at a picture and think a little (which is possibly what IHMN meant at the end of his post).
And if anyone can't tell, I really don't care about quality, as long as it gets the point across.
PyrosNine
06-25-2005, 06:04 PM
I dunno, I can't draw so I doesn't apply to me. That and while I think of myself as a very sucky writer, I find writing easier. And i can read all your posts on this page in about 1 minute. Oh well, I say Yea.
My typing and reading skillz be L33t, Yo!
Dante
06-25-2005, 07:10 PM
Then I say yea, but I think that those who don't want to do picture posts shouldn't be forced to do them.
IHateMakingNames
06-25-2005, 07:58 PM
No one else has to make pictures. Others can if they want. Though they shouldn't draw any worse than I do.
So far, we have 3 yeas, 1 nay, and 1 neither.
Also, lazy, I meant that writing is the weakest way to tell a story. Though you are right that a bunch of pictures would be better than a long post.
Krylo
06-25-2005, 08:32 PM
I argue that writing is the strongest way to tell a story.
In writing you give people the visual, the mental, the verbal, and you can pick and choose every word to add layers of meaning to an otherwise simplistic scene.
In pictures you only tell the visual. You may make poignant statements through presenting certain scenes in certain ways and in certain circumstances, but, firstly, you still can't manipulate those scenes as well as you can through writing, and secondly it takes a lot more skill than anyone here has (with the possible exception of Celes, if she put every ounce of her skill into it) to create such visual tags.
IHateMakingNames
06-25-2005, 09:10 PM
While I would love to debate this, it has nothing to do with the RP, and have very little to do with my possible comic RP posting. So I am not going to.
Anyway, chapter 2 has ended. Three will be up when I decide what should happen in chapter 3.
IHateMakingNames
06-26-2005, 08:50 PM
A few things.
The title sucks, I know that.
Currently, it is dawn. Though I have no idea what the characters would do (Maybe one would want to try and force everyone awake to get the the next city faster, or maybe not), so I left it at that. (Edit) If some character wants to try and wake up everyone at X time, post it. Then see what happens.
Edit - krylo, you're free to change anything about the thread/first post.
Rhiya Ravenwing

I vote yea, but whatever floats people's boats is fine to me.
oh, and in case nobody read my OOC comment in the rp thread, I'm going to be having trouble posting more than once a day, at the rate you're all going at. In fact, I might sometimes be posting once every two days, cuz my internet's cut off at home (*cough* parents thing *cough*) and I'm using the local library's, which restricts me to 55 mins per session....
Next week, I might be going off to camp from wednesday to friday, and if that happens, you won't be seeing me till monday the following week, due to my incompetence to rid myself of work on saturday and sunday.

Rhiya, you missed my dragon visiion question.
Also, when Bismuth transforms, do her clothes absorb into her, or tear apart?
Rhiya Ravenwing
06-28-2005, 12:46 AM
tear apart. She still hasn't mastered the art of growing INTO her clothes yet XD
And that's why she's not wearing ANYTHING and in a mixed breed form.
Dragon vision?
IHateMakingNames
06-28-2005, 12:48 AM
Dragon vision, her right eye, the dragon eye, the eye that sees a bunch of swirls and auras and such.
Before it was made out to see emotions and people, but later you started having it act like magic vision (Icy Lens and magic eaters). Which is it? Don't say both, you can't do that.
Rhiya Ravenwing
06-28-2005, 12:56 AM
ermm... it sees auras and such, but it isn't magic vision. If anything is alive and has a life force of some sort, then Bismuth can read the aura of that thing. When bismuth read the aura of the magic eater, she sensed the erratic pulses in it, not the magic. The subtle changes in consciousness and unconsciousness also change in auras, so I just thought that if Theran was awake, his aura (because he obvoiusly have a life force, albeit a magical one) would flare a bit more... Tell me if i can have that tomorrow. i'm logging off now >.<
IHateMakingNames
06-28-2005, 12:58 AM
If she sees life forces, she doesn't see magical beings. There is a difference between magic and life (Which is why magic eaters, the magic eating part, are lethal to Theran, but only a nuisance to Samoht).
Techincally, a magical being doesn't have a life force like a human would, just a magic force that doubles as their life force.
Edit - Actually, magical beings would have a small life force, because they are still living beings. But mostly it would be small (Alive), or gone (Dead).
Dante
06-28-2005, 04:11 AM
I want to force Bismuth into full human form.
Also, in Werewolf: The Apocalypse, there was a magical ritual which bonded your clothes to you, so when you became a nine-foot tall killing machine your clothes would meld into you rather than tear apart and leave you extraordinarily embarassed when your war form wore off.
PyrosNine
06-28-2005, 07:35 AM

Pryos, about the mile long jumping. That should be changed to a much smaller distance
PyrosNine
06-28-2005, 04:23 PM
How about a football field?
Edit: Fire spirits can fly, Pyrosians Can't, due to a Magical and spiritual "heavyness" (which is a curse for their bouts of extreme rage in which they slaughter their enemies), They can somewhat fight gravity, which was a part of King's defeat of hielos, but shortly after being midair they'll still come crashing to the ground. Using their physical strength along with this very weak flight ability, and they can jump very high.
It's somewhat like Crickets and roaches, who can't fly with their wings, but by flapping their wings and leaping they can leap great distances. There is a downside to this, as the farther kings will jump, the lower he will be to the ground, the opposite true as well.
Which can be bad in some situations. As he can't control his direction mid-jump, and he obviously can't see those things from that far away, he'll sometimes find himself hitting things very hard, ala george of the jungle.
Or he'll land in something nasty, like say water or lava. Also he can't do it when wet, and he can't do anything greater than 7 meters at the moment since his current weakness, which will be with him far far into the concieveable future of the RP if I'll have anything to do with it.
Normally Kings would probably just ditch the group and venture on his own, but weak as he is he'll have to stick with them. Also Kings does little for virtue, so he's easier to do something "good" if the people he's following for safety.
IHateMakingNames
06-28-2005, 04:32 PM
I was thinking much smaller then that. Unless you can give me a good reason why fire spirits would have super jumping powers.
Darth SS
06-28-2005, 06:23 PM
I can.
Fire heats up air. Air expands.
Therefore, he could jump and the air below him could rapidly expand. Then rise, expanding the air above that, continuously following him.
IHateMakingNames
06-28-2005, 06:38 PM
The big part of a grasshoppers jump is their legs, their freakishly powerful legs.
Also, I'm just going to give you 50 yard jumps.
Lastly, why would Pyros remain weak for a long time?
Dante, remember, Ssuma is a lizard. And I think you are the one that explained to Pyros (Not PyrosNine) how lizards mate.
PyrosNine

Lastly, why would Pyros remain weak for a long time?
Dante, remember, Ssuma is a lizard. And I think you are the one that explained to Pyros (Not PyrosNine) how lizards mate.
Well, remember how Kings' father wanted his son to learn some humility? He's able to pull strings from the afterlife, intentionally making Kings have difficulty regaining power, and is using his undead force powers to instigate worst-case-scenarios for him.
Also 50 yards will do, as I've never mastered any knowledge of the metric or the other system we use here in america. As far as I care, He jumps far usually works. Until someone asks.
And about the guy who managed to get my screen name first (jerk), Kima Azure called me Nein to differentiate against the two of us. I've taken to it, so if you guys want you can call me Nein. Or 9, or Nine. It's also helpful to know my love of burning things is far greater than forumer Pyros. As for Pyros being the eldest of the Pyrosians, is purely conicidental.
Rhiya Ravenwing
06-28-2005, 08:41 PM
IHMN, erm... so am I allowed to sense life force or not? I'm confused in the tone you left at the end of the comment about my comment... Did you just say "yes, but play it down a little bit"?
Dante: Unless you can chuck another fully-fledged magic eater at Bismuth without her escaping, then you're hard-pressed to force her back into human form unless she finds some clothes XD
IHateMakingNames
06-28-2005, 08:46 PM
Rhiya, she can sense life force. But for magical beings, all she can really see is if they are alive or not, since they're mostly magic. So, for example, she wouldn't have noticed Theran waking up and recovering, because he is a faerie.
Rhiya Ravenwing
06-28-2005, 08:54 PM
ok... well, there goes my empathy skills out the window *sigh*
So for purely magical beings, Bismuth can sense life force, but for other beings that also possess the normal life force, she can use the works?
IHateMakingNames
06-28-2005, 09:03 PM
What are the works? I thought this was just her seeing life force with her dragon eye.
Rhiya Ravenwing
06-28-2005, 09:13 PM
erm... if you read her bio carefully, Bismuth is a weak empath, meaning that she can sense emotions too, though she can't influence them, or if the emotion's too subtle, she can't discern them properly. I just thought that empaths could see umm... life-forces in the forms of swirling auras and stuff, since most things that are alive usually possess an aura of some sorts and live in a state of consciousness that would normally imply the emitting of emotions and stuff... but if that's bad to you, then I won't do it, and have Bismuth sense life forces and stuff...
IHateMakingNames
06-28-2005, 09:21 PM
You just changed your previous answer...
To make this simple (And to be what I am assuming is what you originally had in mind), this is now what see shes.
Bismuth's right eye sees emotions. Not magic, not life, emotions. Emotions in the form of colorful, swirly aruas. Things that don't have emotions, or dead people, are seen as dark, non-swirly, and what they would look like normally.
Dante
06-28-2005, 10:05 PM
Hey, IHMN, what's the color key for emotions? Like silver is thoughtfulness, gold is spiritual, black is hate, etc.
IHateMakingNames
06-28-2005, 10:09 PM
Colors are Rhiya's choice. She has the only character that actually sees the colors. (Edit) But a dark grey is no emotions/emotionless, so she can't use that.
Also, Cloud is going to be in charge of the elven place we are going to visit. This also includes whether or not the elves have some clothes for Bismuth (The special, shapeshifting clothes, not normal clothing).

(Edited) I suppose I will give you a chance. So fine, you can join.

DBM, Artorio doesn't have that cloak thing. Because it wasn't included in his character sheet. And since he hasn't gotten anything new since the RP started and where the RP currently is, he does not have that cloak.
Also, I don't want the group to have exactly what they need whenever they need it.

Wait, does that mean King's tiny mirror's not good?
(Kings, immediately after escaping the magic eater, pulls out a small mirror not mentioned in the sign-up and inspects his current state.
I guess it's not really all that big, since you probably just don't want someone to say "We need to destroy the Dam!" and someone else sats "Don't worry! I fit a rocket launcher- IN MY PANTS!")
Also, mind you, my character sheet says I already have the sling-arm blades, but in the rp I'm in the process of finding someone to make them(.) I'll go over their specs and stuff thoroughly when I have them.
(edit: Hey, at 3:30 in the morning, It's difficult tuo even type wel let alon use good punctuation or whatever")
Well, at least dante can't Matrixload himself some metamorphic G-strings.

What mirror?
Also, that second sentence isn't really a question, so I don't know how to answer. I'll just say that I'm not forcing you to have sling-arm blades if you rather not have them yet.

I meant that his cloak isn't magical and doesn't do the fitting in thing.

I'm back from my thing, should I just read the current chapter and insert Artemis (the dryad in a druid's body) or should IHMN do it?

Read the RP and wait for a good time to join. Randomly showing up and joining the group is not a good time, by the way.

Erm...is there any way I could get a summarized version of recent events relayed to me (doesn't have to be posted as a PM will do), nothing in depth just the kind of stuff the main characters would tell a new guy within the first ten minutes. Also, when would be a goodish time to hop in? I guess hoping for them to be in/near a forest is overshooting?

PCs are all in a town, they do stuff, nigh comes, magic eaters attack them, they run away, group up near forest, make camp, sleep, wake up, talk.
That's what has happened so far.
And yes, just being near a forest isn't very good. If they were lost in a forest, that would be good (But they won't be, since Shael knows where he is going).
Edit - Also, I've seen several bambi references. Don't use real world references.
Dante, Ssuma wouldn't know Relik is a treasure hunter.

I might make a small list of emotions Bismuth can sense and what colour they might be in, just to lift confusion. (Sorry, IHMN, i keep getting life force and emotions mixed up. will look after my posts from now on)
And since I can't use grey, I will have to improvise.
Red - typical colour for pure anger or passion, normally Bismuth would see pure red in the aura of a berserker of some sort. Other angry emotions are red tinted with other colours.
Blue - typical colour for sorrow in its purest form. Normally, sadness in general is tainted with streaks of sluggish brown. Blue also suggests calm when tinted with green.
Green - if it is an intense, dark green that Bismuth sees, it is the sign of jealousy or discomfort. Placid green is when somebody is feeling content and satiated, or, placid.
Gold/yellow - fierce colour of belief and the feeling of righteousness. Normally, paladins and holy men and such would be surrounded by gold tinged with white lazy streaks.
White - feeling of blankness. If tinted with jagged streaks of pitch black, gives emotion of fear/terror. The more streaks, the more intense the feeling of fear.
Black - not seen in pure form at any time unless with the feeling of fear. Usually, it darkens another colour to show the deviousness of the actual emotion. spots of black on a blue-white aura also means confusion. Gold with black lightning means alarm. Complete black or grey signifies soemthing devoid of any emotion.
Then again, this is only related to a typical creature or being displaying typical emotions, most of the time in their purer forms. Since humans and sentient people tend to have several emotions running through their brains at once, the colours mix and match to create a wide spectrum of colours, shading and patterns. So somebody could be emitting a placid green aura swirling with deep sad blue spirals that bleed to kingfisher blue. Bismuth is pretty good at detecting emotions as long as they are intense enough, or aren't TOO subtle. She's worked out what most of the different array of colours mean throughout her years, too.
Dante - if anybody could describe what your aura is all the time, it would be hot, lustful pink with a hint of orange tang and spotted with bits of intense red. Don't ask :p

If they're near a forest, currently, could Artemis run out of the forest being chased by giant forest mosters and embroil the group in the battle, then latch on afterwards?

It is nearly impossible to get to a computer with internet these days. (In case yoiu were wondering about that comment it explains my prolonged absence.) Could somebody give me a rough "story so far" kind of thing.
Edit
Sorry I didn't read the previous posts. I see my error now

Chris, strike one. Irrelevent post. Also, I had just said to wait for a good time to join, and randomly showing up near the group is not a good time.
CMP, no, that is random.
(Repost)
CMP, since the group is about to enter a forest, I suppose this would be the best time for your character to enter (Or after the wood elves and when they have to travel out of the forest).
So, I suppose there could be some sort of evil magic going around, making trees attack us. Then your nymph comes in and fixes it.

Could I be one of the wood elves and decide that I should go with the group in case there is any trouble with evil magic?
Hello is anyone here?
