Me and a friend are starting a webcomics, and we are tragically untalented at actual art, even though we have some great concepts... So we decided to start off using sprites that we will heavily edit, and later probably blend in some "smooth" art... Only problem is we didn't really find any sprites that fit exceedingly our four main characters very well after combing through Shyguy Kingdom's sprite area...
So I need resources for 16-bit sprites. Mainly looking for real-life-type things, not sci-fi or fantasy or whatever...
Thanks in advance. :)

Apart from the Kingdom, the Game Sprite Archives (www.gsarchives.net) have always served me quite well. They cover several systems, too.

Thanks, I'll scan through them right away. ;)

I'm too lazy to pay that much attention to everything said...

If you don't mind the fact that the file formats are most .png, here are some good custom sprites for RPG Maker 2000

http://www.gaminggroundzero.com/

http://www.rpg2knet.com/resources/?resource=charactersets

http://www.kamain.com/files.html (scroll down to Character Sets)

http://come.to/blueleaf/ (has some pretty good Dragon Ball Z Sprites)

You will have to weed through to find what you want, but there is some pretty good stuff to be found, lots of custom sprites (even 32-bit renderings of Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, and 10 Characters)

Speaking of RPG Maker, what is a very good (preferably free) RPG Creator program out there? I tried some out a few years ago, but they either had bad scripting commands or a terrible map maker.

RPGMaker2000 IS the best one out there, all of the other ones I found require too much programming. A computer geek I am not.

If you don't mind using something from the bronze age, do a search for Hamster Republic RPG, or something to that effect. The engine that birthed Arfenhouse, it was.

Edit: And I spelled Hamster correctly in this case. No p.

About sprites: does anyone know where I could get Seiken Densetsu furnitures? I really need them. You see, I started making a spritecomic to follow what hapened after Seikendesetsu 3. But cause I didn't finish it myself, I'l improvise the ending or in this case the beginning.
