Since Thief turned out to be an Elf, I wouldn't be surprised if Black Mage turned out to be a dwarf! I mean he resembles them very much and it would be funny after killing so much of his own people.

He doesn't 'resemble' them; the Dwarves have shadows for faces because of their helmets. BM has a shadow for a face becasuse of his Hat of Magery.

I would have to disagree with the whole 'his face looks like darkness' thing. How would darkness drive somebody to near insanity (see episodes 36-47: Survivor 8-bit style) no, BM's face is either mind boggeling hideous, or mind boggeling cute. I think it would be funny if it was mind boggeling cute.

It would be funny if Brian dropped a bomb on his readers like that. BM turns out to be a dwarf or is disgustingly cute underneath. His hat must cast the shadows on his face otherwise it might not have been too big of a deal with BM when the Onion Kid accidently knocked off his hat way back when BM was tampering with the votes of who will become a Light Warrior between WM and RM.

In the video game, black mages are human but whether Brian cares to go along with that...is a comic for another day

The name's Whitemage, think 8-bit Blackmage, if he possesed Whitemage's body, was male, and had the sudden urge to fufill his role as light warrior.

Or you could forego that long winded confusing bit of imagining a male White Mage, and just use the FF1 White Mage that looks far more male-like. In fact, you can use my FF1 WM edit, so he doesn't have the hood.

Anything to cut down on the disturbing imagery.

I have to agree with junox i mean dwarves are extremley flamable especialy their beards i mean go they need some shaving cream and a huge scissor. Plus the lile flaming thing of dwarven lands is pretty damn funny. Oh and black mage would drive someone crazy because if they look at his heart its black and eviol but if they look at his face they will die because he is so damn good lookin'. (ROFLMFAO)

What was that about Dwarves being flammable? I may have to test that, making sure I do plenty of repeat experiments of course... just as long as no-one burns Mikor Redbeard of the Zard Clan, my Dwarven alter ego, who is a friend to us Elves. :)
