However, as the forums change, so do the rules of the game. Things are going to be run a little differently here than they were on the old forums.
er... those ruels you posted looked like a copy of the old rules... whats new?

"The old boards were getting to be kind of a mess, so we're starting afresh here at -->topwebcomics.com<-- with a brand new organized and ads-free forum for the fans of 8-bit Theater."
Looks like it's just a straight copy. The rules still think they're at topwebcomics. Heh. Erm, any especial reason we decided to get a new forum here, anyway?

Maybe because of being able to manage the servers with more control. That sounded weird...
I think someone said that this (futaidnet) has better servers than TWC, plus, personally owned forums are all the rage among them teenagers.

Having our own forums means that Kuro can be lord and master (bater) of the forum, instead of having to go though the TWC guys whenever a change has to be made.
It also makes it a lot easier for me to movie threads, which is of course the most important part.

Actually for QUITE a while, Brian was an admin on the TWC Forums. He was only taken down in the last month or so because admins also had a responsibility to help contribute in a secret forum that none of you will ever see. EVER!

Okay, having been on different forums before, Ill provide some suggestions (These arent my ideas, they are tried and true things that work.)
1. Forum mods different for each section, so moderaters can focus on one section and not read the whole thing, or step on each others toes.
2. Get rid of repeating threads, especially in the comics section. One thread: one comic, no repeats, so people dont spam up the boards.
3. Rules for each forum section. Make sure the rules are always on the front page.
4. Inform people to make sure thread titles are CLEAR (i.e. "Megatokyo's thread" not "A coolass comic")
Im just suggesting. You can ignore me at your discretion

i just did a quick copy, paste and post on the rules so we had something to go with to try to keep some order. i fixed the twc reference, let me know if you see anyothers.
we got a new forum because webcomic was down have the time, and slow all the time, and we can get fuitad to help out, as he and brian have collaborated in the past and are good friends.

He was only taken down in the last month or so because admins also had a responsibility to help contribute in a secret forum that none of you will ever see. EVER!Still, on the old forums he had to play nice and not do anything too drastic that would mess up the other forums. Now he can do whatever he wants.
