Geek:

A geek is a person who is fascinated, perhaps obsessively, by obscure or very specific areas of knowledge and imagination. Geek may not always have the same meaning as the term nerd (see nerd for a discussion of the disputed relation between the terms).

Nerd:

A nerd is an intelligent person fascinated by knowledge and learning. Nerd, as a stereotypical or archetypal designation, refers to socially-awkward people of above-average intelligence whose interests (often in science and mathematics) are not shared by mainstream society. People designated as nerds may also exhibit such traits as pedantry, obesity, myopia, ungainliness, High-Functioning Autism, or a gaunt physique.

That answers that. And please, ZERO, for the love of everything, don't post like that. It hurts. Take some time to write your posts and use interpunction and the enter key once in a while. (not like you did here (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/showthread.php?p=314285#post314285)). Don't throw in random stuff like "by the way BLACK MAGE RULES." Seriously.

And one more thing I had a good excuse for that dream game. I had some personal stuff to do and I was in a hurry. I have no patience so I just clicked submit reply so I really am sorry usually I can type fairly well with minimal complaint.I will try to respect the english language more in the future.

Okay, rule number two: No double posting. If you want to re-do something, hit the "Edit" button at the bottom of your screen, and say EDIT: If you want to bring attention.

Since you are obviously very new, I doubt this warrants a warning. But please, read the rules. Please. We all benefit.

And if you could just type it all in there, get Microsoft Word, run the spellchecker, we'd all like it.

I like that you're at least trying, but if you don't have enough time to correct your posts, wait 'till you do. Or use Word.... I guess....

And yess, there can be crossovers. These are just generalizations. They don't really cut people into clean cut, specific groups. Just... mesh together people with similar interests. Having interests in many of these "subcultures" wouldn't be abnormal.

It is possible for a nerd to have a geeky side. Similarly, some intelligent geeks may have some nerdy characteristics, such as a special interest in science. Actually most nerds and geeks share many common characteristics.

That is from the link I put at the bottom of my post:

thanks for trying, it makes it a lot easier to communicate when everyone is speaking (or writing) the same language.
