Alright, just a few notes here fyi and better understanding of the world around you.

I've made a post about Emirol, so I'm going to give you some of the surrounding areas.

Emirol is located smack dab in the middle of what is known as the Ring of Isles, a group of island kingoms formed out of what is essentially a small tectonic plate.

The ring of Isles is located to the south of Sensec, the Continental Empire. Two peninsulas extend into the circle, forming several islands.

Isles of note (beside Emirol):

Tyrn: This island seems to find its way into everything I write. Tyrn is a merchant city, located just south of the Sensec's largest river. The island is relatively small but is completely dominated by one sprawling city. It is both the richest and poorest city in the world, a sharp divisional contrast exists between the rich and the poor. It is a Monocracy, ruled by a class of merchant princes, who share equal power. Money is the law. If we ever go there officially, I'll go into more detail. Just think Ankh-Morpork and you've got a rough idea.

The Stormshroud Isle: Home of the Warlocks, where Zarnet just got exiled from. Difficult to get to unless They want you to get there.

Cyrn: Emirol is a magical place. No doubt. But Cyrn... cyrn is something special. It is essentially Eyre, ireland, located just off the coast of Emirol. Cyrn is a land where the Sidhe are most present. For some reason, the boundry between the realm of the Fey and that of the mortal realm is weaker there, and often overlap one another.

And of course Sensec: Sensec is a... decrpit place. A place where things have fallen appart, to a great extent. The largest and oldest empire in the known world. Nearly two centuries of war with the barbarian hoards to claim the entire continent has left the land scorched in many locations. They have a vast and mighty millitary, though no will or need to use it. Instead, it has become a paramilitary, a police force seeking out enemies of the empire within the country, and quietly eliminating them. Words have been spoken quietly about a secret organization, a word that many have heard but few know anything about: the Eye. Some rumor that it has spread across the world. Others say it doesn't exist at all. No one will ever know for certain, but those who speak too loudly have all too often been later found guilty of capital crimes, shocking and unexpected, and summarily put to death, marched away by the government's centurions, never to be seen again.

Alright. Discussion is now open. Any questions comments or such like goes here. Have at thee!

So that we all are now on the island, is there something we are suppose to do, or are you about to do something?

well, not all of you have gotten there yet, it seems. there are a few stragglers. Give me one more post and I'll give you all your next step. You will all be converging on a single point pretty soon. And then a fellowship will be forged to fight the dark lo- wait wrong story. heh.

Edit: Staizer- sure why not. For simplicity's sake we can say you're already on the island. I'll get to your character in a wee bit I promise. I thank you all for your patience.

heh, well I'll give a brief overview. I won't go into much detail since much of it is for BlindMime's ears only, but he knows whats going on.

Some of this is actually news to BlindMime as well, but here goes.

The Fey and You:

The race of the Fey is an interesting twist of fate. No one is quite sure how they immerged. The Church of the Collective, who are the unofficial keepers of all Creation lore, are silent on the matter. The best guess most scholars essay is that they were origionally demons who forsook some of their power for physical shape. Another summizes that they may have in fact been the result of cross-breeding between angels and demons. Their powers seem somewhat demonic in nature, but no one is quite sure how it works except the fey.

The fey are divided into two courts, the "Light" and "Dark" Court: Seelie and Unseelie respectively. In traditional lore, the Seelie was uncarring and the Unseelie were evil. I'm loosening the grip on the two courts somewhat. The seelie have no interest in the fleeting lives of mortals. The Seelie court is ruled over by Queen Titania.

The Unseelie on the other hand has shown a certain morbid fascination about mortals. They see them more often then not as play things. They find them amusing, as a cat might find a mouse amusing. However, they are more open minded about mortals than the Seelie, and far more likely to associate with them as equals. The Unseelie court is ruled by a queen of unspeakable power whose name is never dared uttered by any of her followers and subsiquently has never been heard by mortals, known only as the Queen of Air and Darkness. She is not so much evil as... terrifyingly powerful and unpredictable.

Over both courts sits the inscrutable Lord Oberon. He may or may not be an ascendant. He does not speak, nor interfere in the workings of either court. Yet were he to ever rouse himself and give an order, there is not a single member of the Sidhe, even the two mighty queens themselves, who would not quickly stoop to obey. It is said that he was the first of the Sidhe, and that he will also be the last of them.

Rumor has it that many many years ago, the lost empire of the Ancients, whose ruins dot the landscape the whole world over, once declared war on the unseelie court, over some embarassing prank the fey played on one of their High Mages. The war was quick and decisive. The fey, it is said, gravely underestimated the power of the mortal mages, and after realizing their mistake, sent diplomats to patch over the ordeal, realizing that a war would require far more sacrifice than they were willing to make. Since that day, it is said, the Unseelie have been careful to treat Alchemists as equals, realizing that these beings, however short lived, wield power equal to their own.

damn, that took care of that, I was thinking the seelie were the angels for some reason, but it all makes sense now. and the unseelie were anyone that wasn't an angel.
