[FONT=Arial]of course some of you have most likely seen/heard of the anime .hack//sign but my question to you is this. i have seen the video game for the ps2 and i thought "ooo the show is okay maybe the video game is okay too" so i bought it. granted it wasnt my money i had no problem flinching at the loss of 30 bucks. anyways i got home and im playing it and i think to myself "self... this game aint half bad. you done good" then i find out that there is three more parts to this game and that i wont finish it unless i buy the others now self is mad. so to solve this problem i ask you this... what am i supposed to do? should i be malcontent with an unfinished story or should i continue? is it worth the money? help!

It's only worth it if you're a .hack fan like me because you'd kick yourself for missing what happens in the other games. Otherwise, you're money is probably better spent on other games.

Like ROTK! It steals souls! Souls, I say! SOULS!!!!

No seriously, ROTK is quite fun, esp. because of Gandalf. Powerful, but you have to sue him properly or you get hosed.

Wow, those *imps surely have gotten legal issues imbedded into the Tolkien game world.

*My term for annoying people who sue because of ignorance or to get attention. Annoying, but hard to ignore in mass.

Anyway, that Dante does have a point. .hack often can drag a player into the plot that most often players end up buying the game even if they find it's short. Which it is.

.hack was pretty cool, and in enjoyed the whole anime/video game tie-in. my only concern is that the games are really short, like, it should have been a 2 part series instead of a 4 part series game. i guess theres a comic book out too, but i havn't heard much about it.

I still have yet to get the second game in the series, but I plan on getting all 4... because the game is actually fun. I actually TRIED to play for as long as I could, going through every side quest and getting every item possible you could get on the first disk.

Yes, its worth it. Ive heard rumors that the 2nd one wasnt quite as good as the first one, due to the battle system, but it has way more story than the first one and is better in other areas. The rest of the series is supposed to be fine.

I'm planning on picking up part 1 now that it's down to $20 for a new copy. Though I'll probably never get to play it all the way through, unless I get laid off and go on unemployment for six months.

Rent the 2nd and 3rd ones. I beat them in a weekend.

Sounds like a good enough idea (I can rent any game for free from work)... My problem is finding a good solid chunk of time to actually play. I'm finally starting to put a very minor dent in my PSX RPG collection, now that I have a PSOne/LCD combo I scored for cheap.
