Check out www.1and1.com . They're giving away free 3 year profesional web hosting until the 25th. For those of you who are just looking for a little space to call home (without adds, and things like PHP, CSS, Pearl, ect, support.) You can register a domain name with them for about $5, or just use their completely free randomly generated name web name.
Just a note. Have a phone handy, when you go through the accnt setup process an automated dialer will call you with a PIN number to enter.
They also allow your registered domain name to have about 50 subdomains. (so you can have music.mysite.com as well as your standard www.)
Even if you already have a site, it's a great offer to have just an alternative hosting area free for 3 years. I signed up even though I've alrdy got a host somewhere else.
