View Full Version : EVE Online is complicated

In fact, I'd say very complicated. I played through the two hour tutorial today and I've since been trying to remember when a game's teaching level was even half as long. The UI is just jam packed full of stuff, and it's a bit overwhelming just trying to remember where things are. Do you veterans still get completely befuddled in a dogfight or did the UI just become intuitive for you after a while? Are there any mods or addons to streamline the process? The game seems interesting so far, and I'd welcome any suggestions on how to make the process a bit less like trying to read an encyclopedia while piloting a flying unicycle that you might have.

Honestly, never touched it, but from what I heard...

There is honestly a good chance you'll quit from mining so much for scraps...

In addition, you're supposed to lay back and watch dirty hot sex while your ship travels across the galaxy.

That is all. I am Doug.

I agree. I was driven away from the game by the mind numbing mining.

I gathered that mining sucked in that game, so I figured I'd try to play my 14 day trial without ever doing any mining ever. So far i've earned probably just over 300k isk in 2 days just killing the deadspace training area pirates. I've been trolling around other nearby solar systems looking for pirates of a meatier variety but so far not much luck. I'm getting much better at finding my way around the UI, but I wish there was a way fly a bit more... precisely. Seems like an interesting game so far, but yeah, I'm not going to be doing any mining if I can help it. I don't even have my mining laser equipped.

Yes, one can do whatever one likes in EVE. I often wonder why those who complain about mining too much mine so much.

While one can do whatever he wants to in EVE, the game I believe has become a Newbie hating game.
Yes, you can roam free as a pirate and destroy and rob things, but there's so many problems with that. Pirates prey on EVERYONE especially newer players and it gets annoying. I play a character and used to be a pirate but now I'm all for helping people because it makes the game more fun if everyones enjoying it.
