Of Angels and Demons (Planning thread)

There has been a struggle since time began. The most basic, and the most complex of battles. The battle between good and evil. For the past 2000 years they've been at a stalemate, neither side making signifacant gains agenst the other. However, the agents of Hell have started using a diffrent form of tactics then what the Gods of Light are used to. They've taken humans and currupted them, making them turn agenst humanity. The Gods of Light however, have captured some of their demon allies and turned them agenst the curruopted humans. Their task: rescue the humans and restore the balance, or destroy them. Aiding them, so that they can manuver around in the human world are a few select humans, picked for compatability of the god that sent their servent.

Each God is assocatied with a diffrent element. The list goes as follows:

Pele--Fire
Posidian--Water
Zeus--Lightining
Titan--Earth
????--Wind
????--Ice

I haven't yet established the last two, and the list may change as I get info.

Well, you can have two characters. A human, and a demon that's in servitute to one of the gods.You don't have to have a demon character though, as the ruling for them is kinda complex. They can't be real advanced ones, such as chimeras and the like.

Flare, I am thinking of playing a demon of fire bound to Pele, is there many mechanics we would have to work out?

If it helps I wouldn't care about being really powerful, I will limit myself if needed.

Anyway, I'm thinking of playing as a demon of lightning bound to Zeus.

And basically that means that your character would have fire elemental properties. Water will hurt. As for the type of demon, well, we'll have to see what everyone uses, then I'll call them as I'll see them.

And Pyros, looks like we've got the same idea.

Especially interested in being aligned with the electric god. So we so far have two wannabe-fires and two wannabe-electrics.

Also, I would like to be aligned with the Wind God. Also, I have a few suggestions about that. Try something like Garuda or a name based on the words Aero or Aviary. Just a suggestion though.

Why not Fuujin, the japanese god of Wind? Seeing as how I notice a shortage of Japanese gods on the list. Damn non-equal rights.

Also, how could there be an Ice deity or Cold deity when Cold itself is an abscence of heat? You can't have more cold or Less cold, You can only have more heat or less heat! If there was a god named that, it'd have to be called AntiPyros!

Well, Pyrosnine, in my view, there are only More-electric and less-electric.

Earth? Less-electric.

Water? More-electric because I can send electricity through it.

Fire? No one cares about fire. Complete lack of usage in electricity. Of course, you can always use heat to boil water which makes it easier for me to transfer a current through it. Hey! I finally found a use for you.

I've yet to find good use for you, other than what hypothetical use one could get by shoving a plug up your rear and powering 12,000 electric stoves covered in gasoline.

Ok then a demon then but what about the earth thing? water hurts eath is that it?

Well, the current circle goes like this:

Fire > Wind
Water > Fire
Lightining > Water
Earth > Lightining
Ice > Earth
Wind > Ice

Not exactly optimum, but that's how the elemental weaknesses are panning out so far.

That is kinda good but whouldn't earth be strong agaist lighting and earth weak agaist ice? Thats just a thought though

What about a god of metal? I wouldn't mind doing this, but I would want my own element. Metal sounds like it would be weak to lightning or water, and stronge vs wind or fire. And as for a name for the Metal God, no idea.

This looks like an interesting rp. I'm curious to see the play system for this. If I understand correctly, we have a human charcter and an optional demon character? Does the human character have elemental powers as well?

In any case, I will join CT and bind myself to the water god.

Not really, as humans are not magically inclined, however they are far more proficent in technology then the demons. Basically they can go "So you've got magic powers. Very well then, hope you like the taste of bullets." Plus they're obviously going to be able to travel around a lot easior. They can have some powers, but as I've said, they're not that strong magically.
