Am I the only one who was getting something like this for the past few days? It takes maybe five minutes or more to load a page, and sometimes the page doesn't even load at all. And then, randomly, it goes back to normal, only to slow back down once I get back on later.

I've gone to other pages, and they're fine. I even tried using Internet Explorer since I use Firefox, but the same result came.

So is this an exclusive problem that I'll have to deal with, or are there more people getting annoyed by this?

Several people were complaining about similar lag last night in the chat, and it happened to me once as well. It's obviously not just you, but I have no idea what to do about it.

Strange... if anything, the pages on the forums are loading faster than usual for me.

All last evening and one or two hours this morning for me. It was impossible to even load one page completely - at some point it would stop, and after taking a good ten minutes already, too.

I too have been having this problem lately. I thought it was maybe my connection...

I thought it was just the connection here on the ship. Guess it's a forum backlog thing.

Kp, Ic, I, and I think a few other people have noticed a high instance of Java errors. We can't be sure if its related or not and some people, like Kp, are getting a lot more errors than others.

I'm getting errors all the time too. I'll post a screenshot next time it happens.

EDIT: Happened sooner than I thought... it was workin' really well earlier.

Also, it's gotten to the point where Silly and Inbred can't get on at all due to the page not loading.

Somehow, I managed to get this thing to run just fine now. I was running Mozilla 1.0.8, and I downloaded 1.5 and that solved the problem. I'll try it with SK's computer, but I have no idea if it will work for others.

I've noticed this, but I didn't mention it since I thought it was just me since my connection starts not working if I leave it on for more than about 5 hours I start running out of buffer space.

But yeah, I've been noticing this recently too.

Probably errors related to the forum software upgrade, possibly server issues itself. I'll move it to the tell the admin forum.

Do not post in this thread now. Wait for Pierre.

I haven't noticed it for quite some time now, and I was also experiencing problems when the others were.

Still happening?
On occasion, but it's a lot rarer now.

Whatever you did is working really well, though.

EDIT: New problem arisen!

FenrisWolf, you aren't alone in this issue. Take a look at the misplaced text here (http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/4541/forumerror9zf.jpg). I've hotlinked the image to prevent unnecessary scrolling/size issues.

if anyone's interested, I was forced to downgrade to Bell for a day, a different service provider than I normally use ((Rogers)). I never experienced problems with rogers, but Bell butchered the site and gave me all the problems you guys are mentioning.

Just thought it might help.

l have had a couple run-ins with the page utterly failing to load on my PSP, meaning the issue is not entirely related to which web browser is being used. The problem seems to have abated for now, mostly, though I though it wise to mention nonetheless.
