has anyone else wondered about the past of the LW's, we know next to nothing about their pasts except for Theif. Well Fighter's probebly isn't all that complex (He really liked swords so he enrolled in Vargus' school), but we don't know anything about BM other than the fact that he has always been homocital and evil. RM is the biggest mystery since now we know his daddy issues are fake.

Well... so far we've learned that BM had a brother and a sister whom died painful deaths. He killed his brother after blinding him and... I think an elk or something bit the sister to death or something... ^^;
Then there's that flashback Fighter had right after Lich killed Black Mage. Both of them were kicked out of their respective schools for giving the wrong answer to their final tests. The two bumped into each other and that's how they became "friends!" XD

Some other forum-goers and I firmly believe the sister bitten by the dire elk is WM.

BM is rather intelligent i'm pretty sure he would recognize his own sister. What i wonder is how BM ended up in Black Wizardry camp, did they adopt him from an orphanage after he murdered his family? Personally i find that the most likely.

I always thought the "A dire elk once bit my sister" thing was more of a throwaway line rather than anything revealing a part of BM's past. After all, it was just a Monty Python reference.
His brother though... yeah, that happened.

I can think of only one clue to RM's past at the moment.
Early in the comics, we get the nexus comic, one about Fighter and swordopolis, one with thief chatting to Dr. Malpractise, and one of Red Mage's character sheet.
There's no conversation in the RM one, but I always thought the tone was like a teacher explaining something to RM. I don't think it's RM talking there, but I could be wrong. f it's a teacher, well it doesn't reveal a lot about his past, but he potentially went to a school of red magery, like black mage and fighter went to their own schools.

and I always thought that everyone in 8BT wasn't supposed to have an age, a background, or anything serious in their pasts and were just puppets to show funny events and only funny events. Wow.

*sarcasm*
lol. If they were to have a past though, it'd be one screwed up one. Everyone in 8BT, even the minor characters and DWs, are just... so messed up. Thief is the only normal person.
[Edit: I spelled "pasts" as "paths"... am I drunk...? *takes a breatholizer* ]

Thief isn't normal the guy is a Klepto and and egomaniac.

Thief isn't normal the guy is a Klepto and and egomaniac.
But, as has been mentioned repeatedly in canon, the first is normal for royalty, and the latter for both royalty and Elves.

I would have to agree. Actually, Sara seems pretty norm, dark thoughts aside. Though those can be called normal for someone who has been expose to King Steve's stupidity for so long. Like radiation.

Thief is not normal at all. His kleptomania is so serious he literally can't go five minutes without stealing.... royal rank or no, a guy like that wouldn't be accepted at most parties. Afterall, if Thief could get normal company, do you think he'd hang out with the Light Warriors? =p
Evil Princess Sarah and White Mage are fairly serious, rational characters (which is why they actually don't function so well in the world of 8-Bit. Ah, frustration abounds.)
