Has anyone bothered to figure out just how many blue magic spells BM has learned since class change- and for that matter what exactly they are? I have read every ep. but am not as fanatical as some of you are- so I'm sure you can offer some insight into this question. Thanks in advance! :D

Just two - the ability to groin-kick someone with nuclear force, and the ability to have his own internal organs to forcibly expel themselves from his body.

The second one probably with the ability to heal himself after doing it.

Though, you know all of the characters at any given time has or don't has any abilities they need to make a joke work. :)

No, he didn't get th ability to heal himself, he got the ability to put his intestinal organs back in. Though, I suspect that Sarda didn't use anything that BM could learn with that.

Yeah this is why I started the thread. I'm a little confused myself as to which moves exactly BM has attained.

Groin kick, ability to eject his organs, ability to get organs back. The only thing more painful than the second one is the third one.

So now that the facts have been established. Time to start up the rumor mill!

I say he'll gain the ability to whack himself in the... well, everywhere... with the uber-deadly Hammer Attack of Holy Doom. Kinda like his newfound ability, the one I like to think of as "Limit Break: Sea Cucumber attack", but without the possibility of ressurecting himself - that will be left to RM (or is it M now?) and his mad surgerytorying skillz.

I thought we'd established the reason the "puke your guts out" spell only works on himself is that Sarda wanted it that way, he's the wizard that did it and all. BM getting spells that can only hurt himself would fast become a pretty tired joke I think.

It would be a tired joke, yes, or a long running joke. Good things don't usually happen to BM - Fighter's still alive, for example. And what's to stop WM from doing the same, causing the uber-deadly Hammer Attack of Holy Doom to affect him and him only each use.

But really, I want to see what else he learns...

Because WM doesn't have near the power that sarda does, and BM won't learn the Hammer attack. Remember, he never learned "throw".

Clearly, ejecting his own organs will be used to execute some bizarre, yet succesful plan...

More likely Thief will somehow trick him into doing it for profit.

We will just have to wait and see how.

I think that it would be just in line with the universe's hatred for BM that his next Blue Magic Spell will be a healing spell. WM beats him half to death with her extra-dimensional Hammer, and then heals him, and he finds that he can now heal others!

The thing is Gogyra, i doubt BM will a) Wish to learn a spell that could be used for some good purpouse (remember bm didnt wish to use the hadoken to save everyone in the air ship by aiming it at the ground)
and b) i dont believe he will learn ANY healing spell because it follows Order, not Chaos.

I'm going to be reminding everyone about the whole "fragment of chaos" thing till Kingdom come aren't I?

Knowing bm though it is likely he will learn some kind of spell that is so hideously powerful that he can only cast it once a week (or year) and somehow fighter/red mage will screw it up for him when he tries to use it against the next "boss"

I think you are banking too much on Brian's desire to see BM succeed in something.
somehow fighter/red mage will screw it up for him when he tries to use it against the next "boss"
You realize that BM has only ever succesfully hit the giant, right? Seriously, he missed a mountain. He doesn't need anyone to screw up his spells. he screws them up himself.

Hey. He hit the bee. And the ground on that airship-cushion thing.

I'm still wondering if Black Mage has lost Hadoken when he changed to Blue Mage.

I find the fact that he wasn't aiming for the ground telling.

Also, what bee?

early on he wasted a Hadoken on some bug. Of course, that means nothing as he could have missed and still easy killed it.

You know, I consider goblin punch to be sort of a "hybrid" spell. What inna nerts kick can cause a nuclear explosion?
