View Full Version : Some questions for Biran to clear things up.
Hi. Forgive me for being a noob, and please don't flame me. I am not trying to be insulting or anything.
I have some questions. First off is an order of power type thing. In terms of evil power rank, where does Chaos, Mangus, the 4 fiends, the hell king action figure guy (the one hell BM overthrough), the other dark gods, the creatures of the earth fit. Also in the power of good, Bahamut, ?sarda?, creatures of the earth, raven and other gods fit?
Also in total power and authority who is the highest and most powerful? Chaos, the good equivialant to chaos, sarda (but isnt he a human?) the humans, the earth creatures, BM, Bahamut, mangus, the 4 fiends, etc?
I am confused on the whole 8 bit theatre power structure thing. Thank you.

Dude... mangus has got nothing on Cytrus!!
Ok, let me take a crack at it...
1- Sarda
2- Chaos (and its equivalent for good)
3- Bahamut ( And equivalents )
4- The Fiends
5- The Earth Creatures ( Mystical of nature but natural, not created or from other dimensions )
6- Black mage (as solo)
7- Dwarfs and Elves
8- Humans
Makes sense to ya?

I don't think 8-bit really HAS a power structure.

You overestimate BM. Sure, he talks a big game, but he isn't nearly as powerful as he would have you believe. Remember, he can't hit a mountain with a Hadoken, or more importantly, a person standing at point-blank range. And I think he used his other spells maybe once, and his melee abilities are truly awful. Yes, even stabbity death.
Also, remember Fighter is the greatest swordsman in the world, Thief is the greatest thief, and RM is, well, I guess he's the most disconnected from reality in the whole world.

Let's not forget that the Nexus has been unbound... (or whatever)
BM should be much more powerful than his fellows. That has nothing to so with his effectiveness, sadly, so they are probably still even.

I thought only DBZ had power ranks. Well, DBZ and those who didn't learn from its mistake.
Seriously, don't worry about who is stronger than who, just enjoy the story. If you're susceptible to advice.

Let us not also forget that BM and Thief went on a fiery rampage across Dwarfland. As I doubt Thief has the power to make Dwarves spontaneously combust (without a match), I would hazard to guess BM did most of the work in that scenario.
Also, missing the mountain was just a crit-fail. It says nothing about his skill that he failed miserably that one time.

Hey admittedly he can't hit anything but that doesnt make it any less powerful. Ie in the early episodes he annihilates the entire Giants forest with a Hadoken thats pretty damn powerful.

In regards to BM... He's the universe's whipping boy. It's practically a law of 8-Bit Physics; "Everything that happens does so in order to hurt Black Mage." It doesn't matter how destructive you are; the bottom of the food chain's still the bottom of the food chain.
Beyond that...

I'm inclined to agree with the transparent royalty on this one.

No matter how powerful your gun is, if you can't hit the broad side of a barn (Or, in this case, a mountain), you aren't powerful.
Also, missing the mountain was just a crit-fail. It says nothing about his skill that he failed miserably that one time.
And what about the two times he has missed RM at point-blank range? Trust me, it wasn't a one time thing. It was a "BM sucks with his Hadoken" thing. No offence to him. He just happens to be bad with his best spell. Also, I'm fairly certain that the 8-bit world doesn't follow D&D rules, despite what RM thinks.
I do agree that ranking the characters doesn't really contribute to anything, especially since they aren't exactly "fixed" in their powers (Remember BM's laser vision?).

Well, the most powerful character TECHNICALLY are the BM, RM, Fighter and Theif.
See, Brian has specifically said that they are as powerful as the joke demands.
So, TECHNICALLY, they are as omnipotent as Sarda and COULD overpower him for sake of a joke.
Also, I agree with the BM is pretty weak theory aside from the fact he HAS used Stone which was an instant death maneuver for all intents and purposes.

Whaa...? We all underestimate Black Mage... I'd like to see anyone top this new arguement that I am about to unfold from my pie of doom. Shh... the pie needs no explanations.
Think of it this way...
Medium Range- Any black magic, as showcased when Black Mage torched the old men.
Long Range NOT on Mountain- Hadoken
Long Range On Mountain- Backwards Vehicle Hadoken
Close Range: INNA NERTS!!!!!

Yes, yes that is right......he loses all sense of contnuity for a joke sometimes which is okay with me!
Thanks for the replies. Perhaps i worded the question wrong. By power, I mean authoritive rank in the universe. I am wondering is Sarda higher up that Choas, or other gods? Is sarda really a god? If Sarda is so strong why doesnt he defete Chaos himself?

Because with ultimate power comes absolutely no responsibility. Or because a wizard did it. Take your pick. :)
Tee hee, nobody's called me "transparent royalty" before. :o

1.Sarda is too bored to do it himself (or wants to have some fun) so he puts 4 warriors do the dirty job
2.The whole destiny thing
And I'm quite sure that Sarda is the most powerful being in the 8-Bit universe. He is immortal (seeing him throughout all these billions of years since the creation of the universe), so I guess he is some kind of god.
