Does anyone here play Uno? I'm thinking of getting back into playing it again.

For the uninformed, Uno is a card game where you play cards that either are the same colour or number. The were special cards like a "skip next go" cards and "Draw Two" cards. The most important thing to remember while playing is that if you only have one card left, you must shout UNO! If someone picks up on the fact that you didn't, you have to pick up two cards.

All Uno is is Crazy 8s with a new paint job.

Fun fun fun.

Uno kicks ass. My sister and I used to play Uno all the time. But then the cheating started. My sister tore or chewed the edges of all the "skip" cards so she could see when I had one.

I LOVE playing Uno. I especially like playing with the house rules. (ie someone plays a 0 every person has to switch their cards with the person on the right of them) I even used Uno for betting purposes, even though I such at gambling.

Now I must aquire an Uno deck...

BWAHAHAhA! I have Uno, Tataku-sensei*. Care to play? =P
I myself rarely play though...

It is a fun game. Also, no need to buy a specific Uno deck, it is possible to play with regular playing cards.

*My mind is lost in MobRo, it would seem...

But it sucks with a standard deck as you only have half the cards...

I've never played uno but just hearing about it reminds me a lot of Switch, which is played with a standard deck of cards. Are they similar or am I just way off? What are the rules for Uno?

Rules for Switch (long):
Every player gets either 7 or 10 cards and the rest of the deck is placed in the middle and the top card is placed in the game pile face up. You then take turns (going clockwise, dealer's left first) putting down either a card that is either the same number or suit of the card on top of the pile. If you can't play a card you take one from the deck. If you have two cards the same number (like a 3 of clubs and a three of diamonds) you can play both at the same time. You then continue like this and the first person to get rid of all their cards is the winner. If you don't say "last card" when you reach one card left you have to pick up 10 cards when you try to win the game. There are loads of special effects cards too.
A 2 means the next person has to pick up two cards from the deck. The counter to this is to play a two of your own then the next person has to pick up 4 cards.
An ace can be played at any time and can change the active suit. So if there was a 4 of clubs on top a player could put down the Ace of Spades and say "diamonds" and the next player would have to play a diamond. Some people rule that you can't end on an ace.
An 8 causes the next player to skip a turn if they don't have an 8 to play, if the do the 3rd person has to skip a turn if they don't have an 8, and so on.
A jack reverses the direction of play. (or, if there are only two players left, gives you another turn).
Two other special cards I've seen some play with are:
7, when you play a seven you can put down all cards of that suit in your hand.
Black King, when someone plays a black king the next player has to pick up 5 cards. If another black king is played to counter the 3rd player must pick up ten. If a red king is played against a black king the effect is negated.
