What ever happened to Fighters fear of spiders?
I mean look at my avvie and you will see an example of how scared he is of them......
and I agree with him by the way...

How often did they encounter spiders? Last I've seen them was during Drizz'l's fight.

Well, they've only encountered them twice.....they should appear more often as they are one of fighters greatest weakness. I would love to see what would happen if a spider fell on him now

And while we're at it he should find the Armor of Invincibility.

Seran

Is that the Armor of Invicibility, or the Armoire of Invincibility?

Well, it's odd. Spiders are running amuck in my house -- and might I add I hate spiders -- while none have appeared for quite a long time in the comic. I wonder why...

Perhaps they never visited your house...:p

Anyway, yeah, spiders are fun (when Fighter is around). But I think that we learned about his fear of spiders so that we were prepared about what was gonna happen when Drizz'l put one on Fighter's head. You know, like Brian had this in his mind from Corneria...

Maybe your right......anyways, Maple said herself that when he took the Armoire of Invincibility that she wondered if he meant the Armor of Invincibility

I can't beat Oracle of Seasons. Zelda rules.

Well, if a tiny spider such as the Deadly Camel Spider set Fighter off into running through a cave wall into the mailman...what would a massive one do to his nerves?

Well, you can never be too careful. Who's to say that there aren't bigger spiders out there...? Though, I must admit that the Camel Spider is a bit horrifying in size. That's what we call, "video game monster muse".

I had a comic in the working having one as a random encounter, but alas, my old laptop died.

Damn! That spider is huge! Come to think of it, when compared to the size of Fighter, the comic's camel spider is pretty big too. The spider is nearly the size of his hand.

INTERESTING SPIDER FACT.

You are never ever ever more than three feet away from a spider. There is always a spider within three feet of you. And you swallow nine of them a year.

SPIDERS! Not just for breakfast anymore.

Well of course I am always near a spider because I own one. A Wolf Spider that I lovingly call "Sexy Beast". As for the whole "spider eating thing", yeah I really didn't need to know that.

You are never ever ever more than three feet away from a spider.

That sounds like you're including dust mites, which are also arachnids. Given that they're less than half a millimeter in length and live all throughout your beds and carpeting, that would probably be the case.

And you swallow nine of them a year.

This is a classic example of why you shouldn't believe everything you hear, especially when you find it on the internet. Do a Google search for the words "eating", "spiders", and "sleeping", and every result on the first page is devoted to debunking this myth. Here's the very first result (http://www.spiderzrule.com/answers.htm#Do_spiders_crawl_in_my_mouth_and_nose_ while_I_am_sleeping).

By the way, if you're looking for the largest spiders in the world, they don't get much bigger than the birdeater (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goliath_birdeater). Twelve-inch legspan, baby.

Huh. Interesting. Yes, my mood has fallen to apathy at this moment.

Well, now that you mention it, comparing the comic's Camel Spider to the comic itself... Actually, I'm not certain of what to say.

Personnally, I don't think I've ever swallowed(sp?) a spider during my sleep, but I have already woken up with a spider on my cheek, crawling towards my mouth...but it fell off, so...yeah, I was freaked out.

It's whatevers going INTO or OUT of your body that usually is the weakness.

Fighter can't tie his own shoelaces, let alone know or better yet CARE what the differnce is!
If he see's an 8-legged ANYTHING coming his way, he'll pull out his sword and make it into sushi faster than you can say arachnoid.
Either that or run away screaming...

Actually, I'm quite sure that Fighter can tell the difference between 8 slim, hairy feet and 8 fat slimmy tentacles. He is stupid, but saying that he can't tell the difference between an octupus and a spider is like saying that he can't tell the difference between Thief and RM.

RM's the one that steals everything, right?
JK.
Anyways, about the whole Fighter not being observant or being observant deal, he noticed that the periods weren't on the Mr. Pibb or Dr. Pepper drinks. I never noticed that until it had been pointed out by him. Now I feel like a fool for not seeing such a mistake on my fourth favorite drink.

Yeah, I did the same thing. Except Mr. Pibb is my FAVIROTE soda.
Oh and about the sony press conferece thing, I get it now. Yes he WOULD now what to do. However, maybe he might consider the octopus (knowing that it is an octopus) a spider just because it will creep him out completely.

I don't know. Maybe BM has a fear of spiders and takes it out on Fighter by transferring his fear over to him using some not yet seen magic power.
