So I stumbled across this brilliant game yesterday, thanks to my friend:

Toribash (http://www.toribash.com/).

Do yourself a favor and download it--about 2 megs, extremely small. Yet entirely brilliant.

Basically, this is Truck Dismount (http://jet.ro/dismount/) for fighters. two opponents face each other. They each have various limbs to manipulte: ankle, knee, hip, glute, chest, pecs, arm, elbow, neck...all of them. Each "turn," you manipulate parts in order to best kick your opponent's ass.

In some servers the 'interval' between turns is short, so youre constantly readjusting, but my particular favorite mode of play is in the Judo servers, which I believe allos much more strategy. There's dismemberment, gravving, and a whole slew of other things, all to hilarious and surprising results. It's hard to get used to. But now for some pictures :)

Oh yeah, the best part--it's multiplayer. Tons of fun to be had.

Looks awesome. Like Ballz 3D, but not shitty.

...someone is using nekose as a username. ._. *is unhappy about that*

I don't suppose you have the link to 'truck dismount'? I formatted my drive and lost that game a while ago.

I've been playing it a bit, username Creslin, and I've got to say - it's awesome. :p

I just wish online play were better. I hate not getting to choose who I get to play with, and having to wait on other people to finish.

That being said, I had some hilarious fights today, in both single and multiplayer. Managed to dragon-kick someone's head off. Also, I've got a replay where I BEAUTIFULLY rip someone's head clean off and toss it away.

This is remarkably fun, if not pretty hard to learn...

I'm having some trouble actually hitting the pc-opponent where I want to, but I'm doing some neat flips. >_>

I actually found the multiplayer to be its strongest point. It's simple, clean, and efficient. I like that you basically "line up" to take down the current champ. It also allows you to relax between matches.

Hit up the additional servers (http://www.fun-motion.com/news/additional-toribash-servers/)--there's a no disqualify one that's friggin' great.

Yesterday, I played Toribash for 12 hours. I am a bad person.

Lovin' it. Despite being a total newbie in the game and barely even knowing what contracting and expanding the muscles actually does, I've managed to win more games than I lose -- due to sheer blind luck. Even took down a self-proclaimed vet simply because, by being a newbie, I managed to be so unpredictable he couldn't successfully land his trademark moves on me.

The era of good times has finally arrived. I powerbombed a torso and I ripped off my arms and punched the opponent in the head.

Well, like I said, I don't know how to do those fancy kicks and dismemberments, but I do some fancy flips.

Put the file, which is a .zip by the way, in your replay map for the game. You'll see what I mean then. >_>

EDIT: Through the use of a guide, I've done my first decaptitation! JOY! (Added to the .zip, incase you'd be curious...)

Alright, I'm really having two major problems here.

1) Can't move forward effectively, but I can do some nice ninja flips and stuff... it just seems momentum always seems to want to carry me backwards.

2) I can't figure out a good way to kick people.

Kicking people, I can help with.

Try this in single-player mode first.

First turn, press 'C' to hold your muscle joints, then -- say you want to kick with your left foot -- contract your left knee and extend the left ankle. Move forward one turn and your character should start moving his leg back, which is good, he's bending his knee back which will accelerate the force of your kick, making the kick more powerful once you 'switch directions' and move the leg back forward.

Then contract the left hip, which should give your character even greater leverage. Wait a turn, and then extend the knee. Whamoo! You got yourself one powerful kick.

That's just a basic kick move, it's more complicated if you want to kick with both legs at once (which you can do,) initiate a backflip while kicking, or actually kick a targeted area of the body (this particular kick will usually only connect with the torso and it won't, on its own, dismember any body parts.)

I actually learned a fairly effective high kick on the first turn. Highly effective, and sets you up for a face-kick on the second turn.

Extend both ankles. Contract one hip and extend the other (changing it up changes which leg you're kicking with). You might also want to extend your pecs and ready your hand for a grab, in case of any chance openings.

Another favorite move is the "Andy Kaufman Gyro-Punch," as I like to call it. Press C to freeze your whole body. Then, turn both your chest and lumbar in the desired direction. Extend the ankle opposite the desired side. Raise the knee on the desired side. Extend your pecs and ready the hand for an open-palm gyro punch, completely ready for a decap :D

Also, Novasol: grabbing is key. After you grab someone, a whole slew of new moves and possibilities open themselves up. Pull them in, jerk them around, scissor kick them in half; all these things become possible when you are linked. If you're apart, you'll usually have a long, unfulfilling match where both of you are trying to avoid falling.

edit: I've also just discovered that studying the replays is indispensable. If you press e during a replay, you can study which muscles are being used in what ways. If you look at some of the ridonkulous default replays, you can learn some sweet moves.

Well, I made an incredibly violent decapitation grab yesterday, actually. Grabbed the guy's head, jerked him down by the head, then sprung off the floor with my legs, pushing my kneecaps into his chest and ripping the head clean off. After that I just casually tossed the head away.

I'd just like to point out to everyone that I hang out in Judo 1 (the judo room that allows dismemberment) a lot as, you guessed it, Krylo and that I'm pretty damn good in the judo rooms... and decent in the ones that have a lower timer.

Further, someone should totally set up a server (or two) just for the NPF. I would if I could figure out how...
