oh man I missed this show, it ruled. One of my all time lost favorites, right up there with Mighty Max and Sonic...the good one.

Hooray for shameless profitting of nostalgia

Yay Mighty Max! Norman! The Chicken (Fowl!)

And the Sonic where he was obsessed with Chili Dogs!

And THE TICK!!

And here's my mini-review upon having seen two episodes (The Idea Men (first episode)) and Chairface Chippendale).

Okay, first things first:

It's even funnier than you remember. And with no commercial breaks, it's concentrated goodness.

However, my memory isn't what it once was. (Watching the Tick with friends like Mary Jane make the experience even better). But I'm not sure if the colors in the early episodes were so... off. The tint of the Tick's costume in particular seemed to change shades ever other shot.

However, the audio quality is fine, and comes equipped with a French language track. My mind couldn't possibly handle this show in French, so you are on your own there.

Well, maybe for certain episodes...

The Tick has been released. Bout time.

Now all I need to see is the original Sonic as someone stated above.

which sonic?
The US's dark post apocalyptic one, or Japan's cutsy saturday morning cartoon one?

The dark and gritty one.

Whichever Sonic the Hedgehog costarred -- what was her name? Sally?

That one was just awesome.

They just don't do videogame-based cartoon shows like that one anymore.

The only downside is, of course, that this set is lacking "The Tick vs The Mole Men"... That one had some of my favorite Tick quotes in it. ("Ahh, savory cheese puffs, made inedible by time and fate," and, "Arthur, look what I found in the basement! Mole Men!")

But hopefully we'll get it in a future release.

In the meantime, everyone go buy this DVD so they'll put out the other two seasons!

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yelling that next time I get in bed with a girl.

Actually fuck that, next time my friends won't get up I'm yelling that to scare the shit out of them.

My reaction?
In a paraphrase of a quote (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/showpost.php?p=394545&postcount=6) I've always loved but never sigged cause taken out of context it's a little humiliating

By the mess I've made in my pants, a rough calculation suggests that I must have orgasmed seven times from this news

Now back to THE TICK, because it deserves caps.
I still remember how Arther constantly got mistaken for a bunny.

American Maid has to be one of the best superhero names ever conceived.

What about Der Fledermaus (roughly translated, "The Bat". He was AWESOME!)

"Who dares tresspass on my night domain? You have crossed the path of.... DER FLEDERMAUS!"

*checking his mail* "Mmmmm.... somebody loves Der Fledermaus...."

Sewer Urchin / Rainman was kickass.... MultipleSanta, the Dino-Scientist.... but nothing... NOTHING is as cool as this.

It was Die Fledermaus. Which for a while, I thought was Deflater Mouse, and was very confused as to why someone would choose that as their superhero name. I liked Batmanuel too, who was the live-action version of Die Fledermaus.

The dino-scientist was Dinosaur Neil. Then we have Man Eating Cow, the Civic-Minded Five, Chairface Chippendale, Big Shot, the Idea Men, Sarcastro, El Seed, the Midnight Bomber (what bombs at midnight), Thrakazog...the list goes on and on.

I didn't know this was an "I can name more than you" competition. I was just naming my favorites...
