I mean, there was a reasonable length of time between when they left and the truck coming in, but still.

A very odd tale, indeed. Funny thing about dodging death like that, though: It usually comes around to bite you in the ass later, and bite hard. I wish those girls the best in the future...

The girls' parents, Cody Batiste and Sally Morgan, both are deaf.
"There was a big noise, and I was puzzled," Batiste said. "Cori looked around and said the bedroom was all messed up."It's little bits and pieces like this that amuse me.
I know how they could tell, through vibrations, but it still amuses me.
And yay for living small children. =D

Willie Edwards, a trucker for Edwards Transport of Houston, was cited for reckless driving...
That is my favorite part. I mean, damn. Right into their house? That's SOME kinda reckless driving...

Before hitting the house, Edwards hit a light pole and a traffic control box. He was treated for minor injuries.
Alright, was this guy drunk when he was driving? I mean, he had to be on SOMETHING in order for this to happen while he was on the job. According to the articale however, nothing was mentioned about him having done any type of controlled substance... Is the guy that careless?
Anyways, All I can say is that the guy is an idiot and the girls were really lucky...

I don't really see how this is noteworthy. People aren't hit by trucks all the time. I guarantee you that in the time it will take you to finish this sentence, no fewer than ten million people will not get hit by a truck.
Damn human interest stories. Next we'll hear about the Jon-Benet Ramsey case again.

I agree. I want to see more news stories about trucks narrowly avoiding their doom at the hands of little girls. That right there is some news.
