Hello, I am new here, on the boards, at least.

I have supported 8-Bit Theatre from the shadows since February 2002, but never saw any point to post on its respective messageboards until now.

I have read the rules of the messageboard. I must say, this messageboard might otherwise be my oasis in this cyber wasteland. It seems that, every messageboard I have gone to is treated like a restroom stall door, or is flooded by a river of flame.

But, it does not look like there is any of that, here.

Obviously, posting on a messageboard like this, you can probably deduce that I am a fan of Final Fantasy and webcomic culture.

I have played every Final Fantasy to date, except Final Fantasy XI, and I treat each game like gold, the only exception being Final Fantasy X-2. I am that much a fan, that I have gotten the soundtracks and arrange albums for each game. Even if the game itself was not particularly stellar, the music is still good, especially the orchestral and piano albums! I must say my favorite Final Fantasy soundtrack is Final Fantasy X. It has such varied composition, from classical, to new age, techno, and even rock.

As for webcomics, my favorites are Magatokyo and Penny-Arcade, in addition to 8-Bit Theatre. I have read RPG World, but I have found it too angsty for my tastes, even if it is parody, and how it heavily parodies Final Fantasy VII, I have trouble examining the game without ridiculing it. RPG World has made me critical of Final Fantasy VII, and left a bad taste in my mouth.

And of course, I do frequent a number of messageboards.

I do have other interests, but let us just leave it at that for now.

Sorry, i just found no redeeming value in Chasing Amy. Jay and Bob barely showed up, there was little to no comedy (the black gay guy was a notable exception, though his presence in the movie only proved how unfunny the rest of the film was). And the characters were incredibly annoying in that they seemd to change completely only to prevent the movie from ending (the homophobe suddenly being down with a guy guy girl threesome, the lesbo not being...bleah). It seemed way too comtrived for its own good. Now, this sin't to say I don't like his other movies (except jersey girl, still refuse to see it on principle) but I have never understood why so many people love the childish dramatic dribble that is Amy.

also, read the rules. It is of utmost importance that the rules are read and followed. This is not me with a rod up my ass. After seeing a few people banned, you get the fear of Mod knocked into you. Condensed version is this: don't spam and use common sense. Slightly longer condensed version: Don't spam, use common sense, don't post twice in a row and don't talk about religion.

How I feel about the different systems:
Gamecube - like most of the games a lot, but wish the graphics were better
Xbox - like the specs, but wish there were more awesome games
PS2 - If I were getting a new system, I'd get the Xbox because the PS2 has the worst specs, and many of the good PS2 games come out on the Xbox too
DS vs PSP - The deciding factor that made me get the DS was that my GBA broke, so I am still kinda divided. I figure if you want to play PS2, play it at home. With such a short battery life and with many of the best game developers already working with Nintendo, I'm very unsure if the PSP will be successful. I hope it isn't, because Nintendo needs a break.

I posted my re-introduction to the 8BT forums in another thread but I guess I wasn't supposed to do that. WHOOPS! Sorry Shiney. :(

Anyway, I had might as well get on with it, now that it's formal this time.

My real name is T.J. (which stands for "Timothy Justin"), but my nicknames include "Teej", "Tease", "T'gina" (and yes, that's pronounced like Va-gina except with a T) and a few others that I've long forgotten.

I'm 18 years old, 19 in August, and I go to college at Emporia State University, in Emporia, Kansas. And yes, Kansas sucks. And no, I don't know where Dorothy is, but I did get a message from toto, and it says "go fuck yourself, and bring me a dog biscuit when you're done."

Probably my favorite game EVER is a close tie between Super Metroid for the SNES and Final Fantasy 7 for the PS1. It's a tough decision though, as both games are phenomenally good.

In my spare time, I like to hang out with my friends. Which sadly enough mostly includes playing videogames or doing something we shouldn't be doing. The game I've been playing recently is Jade Empire for the XBOX. If you haven't played it yet, do so. It's one of the best RPGs I've played in a long time.

And this is the point in which I will conclude talking about myself. However, before I go, I'd like to talk about one more thing.

Long long ago, when I was still pretty heavily involved with this forum, I knew someone by the name of Laura. Me: I work two part-time jobs. One is a standard department store thing, the other is "officially" volunteer work. This is so they can pay me less than minimum wage. I work at a local (I live in a very small town) movie theater, where I make $10 every time I run a movie. It's alright. The worst part is that I am one of the more experienced projectionists. As a result, when the head projectionist (my li'l sister, sadly) can't set up the movie (like today, for instance), this task falls upon me. Some time between now and movie time, I have to head down the the creepy, run-down, possibly haunted (dead serious) movie theater to spend a lonely hour doing a very simple task (which frees up more brain space for thinking about the ghost. Joy) for another $5. If you want to know why I went on like that, it's simple: I have spent so much time thinking about the hour I will soon spend there, that I am already more terrified than I will, in all likelihood, actually be after I'm done. And griping like this helps to relieve that fear.

However, I may be able to explain that.

You may have noticed that Shiney made fun of several other mods.
You may also recall that mods and admins have the ability to edit a forum-goer's post. By making an image of his text he prevented a fellow watchman of this forum to edit his post, and thereby completely destroying the humour in said message.

Instead, the mod would have to destroy the complete message and retype it with the edits that he would like to make. Shiney betted on the possibility that the others would be too lazy to do so.

About myself: I used to be a globe-trotting adventurer. In recent years, I've just been a nation-trotting adventurer, but there's a fair chance that will change in the near future.
