The Empire of Rokahnar's immediate family have all died. To make matters worse, the Unifying Force of the Empire, the Church, has split off from tlhe Empire as well.

In the world of Rokahnar, the 8 Factions all have their own goals. Some desire the most powerful civilization of all time. Others desire military dominance over the others. As heroes of the Empires, you may avert a world war, whatever you decide to do, decide quickly, because stragglers in this world get left behind. The Emperor of Order, Coneria, has died, and the priests of the Dual Church have split off from the Empire.

Element: Forbidden (Approved!)
Description: About 6'1, 250 lbs. Muscular. Shaven head. Always wears black half plate under a black full robe, except in combat, where he dons a spiked helm. Forbidden magics have permanently warped him, his eyes glow red like burning coals, even in pitch black. He's technically blind, since he can't see anything on the visible spectrum. He can see things on the thermal scale, though. The nature of his magic has caused his skin to literally melt to his half plate. Molars have mutated into canines. On the rare occasion that anyone sees his face, they see the glaring lack of anything even resembling a cheek anymore, and the small hornstubs growing from his forehead.

Name; Jaghadi Khan
Element:Void
Description: Mongolian in appearence Jaghadi stands 5'10", he has the form of anyone born on the Stepps light yet strong and tough as nails, Ritualistic scaring covers his body, he had a top knot that reaches his shoulders the rest of his head is devoid of hair (black and course).
He sports the heavy tan of someone who's life is spent under the suns harsh gaze.
His hands are rough and calloused from the toil of work, he is bo legged from yeas in the saddle and is an expert rider able to keep his balance in combat and shooting a bow from horse back as easily from the ground.

Jaghadi is 30 years old but looks a few years older due to his long life of toil and sun. He also sporst a long moustache and beard in the traditional Mongolian style.

Element:Nature
Description: Tall and rugged looking, although most of his body is concealed by a dark green hooded robe, commonly with the hood down, unless he is in the company of a stranger, and two sleeveless holes for his strong arms. Although obviously used to the outdoors, and well fed, he has the pale skin of a man who wears heavy clothing when not in the shade of the trees, not because he has a problem with heat, but because he prefers the mental shelter of the forest. His head and face are unshaved, his facial hair naturally short, and rough brown hair. He looks fairly young, but its fairly difficult to judge his age by looking at his face. He is usually accompanied by a predatory bird, which only will land on him or go near him if he is alone, or with a trusted friend. Otherwise the bird can be found in a nearby tree.

Description: A 26-year old Caucasian female with shoulder-length bright red hair and sky-blue eyes. During official duty, she is usually seen wearing the robes and hat similar to those of an archbishop complete with fingerless gloves and sandals, all in white and blue with gold trim and stitching for emblems. When the going gets tough, she's free to ditch most of the uniform and simply wear the linen garments underneath the robes for functionality. Her off duty clothing is a white and dark-green linen and brown leather combination. Her skin tone is light and she has a crescent-shaped birthmark on her right hand, usually hidden under a glove.

Description: Ni's very appearance seems to convey death. He often wears a long cloak as decayed as he is. Under it his body has the deceptive look of someone stricken with famine. In many ways that is still accurate. No longer does he eat, he drains energy and nutrients straight from his victims. Their life force feeding his own. Perhapps as a result his eyes have become sunken and black, with yellow pupils seeming to glow in the center.

I meant more of "what can i do with my powers?" It says i have control over the elements, animals, and plants. Does this entail that i can create fire, ice and water, communicate/control animals, and make plants grow and attack people wherever i want, or are there more limitations?

2. Think of this way, you can command lightning bolts, and twist and use your powers in any way as to be formiddable enough to take on hundreds of foes at a time. You can even duplicate magical effects of other Elements as long as you don't use too powerful a spell for them. Nature should be able to conjure tornados, swallow hundreds of enemy soldiers with the Earth. Summon meteors from the sky, or even call a tidal wave(within reason)Death should be able to have enough power to cause a lingering disease that should last for awhile, or, at higher levels, even call for the Grim Reaper. And so on. Life even shares part of its element with Nature, in that Life can summon animals, plants, etcetera.

Description: 5'5 25 year old male. He wears a gray robe without a hood, he has black hair that somewhat spikes out near his forhead. Rajin has brown eyes that never show what he is thinking or his emotions. There is a pattern on the robe around the waist and wrist area, the pattern itself is a a jagged line of red and white traingles, the red traingles being on top and the white ones being on the bottom.

I am with AB, I mean someone has to get things going. And yes I am aware how odd it is for me to be saying that. Though I dont think my character is the only one that wants to see the rest of you die. Besides, my understanding is this is a free for all.

...anyone else notice I seem to always be the bad guy in things like this? I am just not a fan of playing the 'lets protect everyone' types. Nothing wrong with that, I just have a different prefferance.

[edit] oh and so you know, he didn't do all that alone. He casted the same spell of over a dozen people at the same time. In addition to that they have several other soldiers attacking. This is a coordinated strike, not one lone man

key word is seem. You guys are over estimating what happened. They damaged large sections of the city, its still there. In pure magical power he is very lacking. He can excellerate decay by draining life, then apply it to himself. In addition the spell was a ritualistic incantation which activated after a long period of time. Like I said, he launched this wave when the guards arrived, which took several minutes.

that is my ooc explanation, take it as you will. And if the GM has any problems I will make alterations

what I was reffering to was their passive ability to drain life. Ok it isn't passive, but it can be used continually. I imagine those that worship life would have an ability to passively protect them. One takes life, the other gives it, so if you do both its moot.

So what exactly is happening right now? I think we could all benefit from a quick explanation from Marinan right now. It would also help if everyone was more clear in how their actions affected others, because since most of it is between two people, I feel sort of left out in the action, and Xravi probably agrees with me. Also, Marinan in general might want to be more GM-like, and not only act as a guide, but show exactly what is going for each of us.

...Actually, that brings up a point. Can Nature practitioners cure animals of infections like rabies? And if the rabies is passed on to a human, can a Nature practitioner still cure it or would that be a Life practitioner's deal? Confusing.

EDIT: And I agree with Aero on this. It's time we were told where the first dungeon excursion is gonna be so I can dump all these extra characters and make it all about Erika. I mean, she didn't even get any lines in the last post.

Still, Nahn will not tolerate killing of animals. If he sees you kill something, it had better be in the process of mauling you. If it wasn't then he will either break you, or make you eat it.

Also, they are killing animals, just scavenger animals, which totally doesn't make them not okay. AB didn't say they weren't killing them, it was that they weren't killing "Okay" ones. Nahn is a part of nature, so he sees killing as only ever acceptable in complete self-defence, or for food. Other than that, he equates it the same as killing an innocent human being. While Ni attacked a city, that already had took over the lands of nature, so Ni wasn't actively killing direct parts of nature (Other than plants), so it wasn't as bad in Nahn's eyes. Killing animals is that bad. We don't need to get along, but outright slaughtering of animals won't be taken lightly. Just a warning.

As someone who is a part of nature wouldn't life and death be a part of your outlook?
As even in death an animal/ plant is of use to the rest of nature, After all animals do kill each other over areas and females of the species so the other people killing the animals to protect their "Pack" is just as natural as an animal doing the same thing?

Humans after all are just animals who think themselves better than the rest of the natural fauna around them.

I personally view animal life equal to that as a human. So I agree with Tarrin in a real life sence. Killing is only acceptable if it preserves life. What is worse, killing one dire animal or letting it kill five?

So you know, the attack Ni and the others used was a decomposition spell not a death spell. He didn't kill things he just caused them to rot to the point they could no longer keep themselves alive. Take leporacy, an illness that litterally causes you to rot while you are still alive. I am just pointing this out because it is possible to be affected by that spell and live.

And I really wanted to leave it to just Erika, but I just couldn't see High Priest Kane sending Erika off to go dungeon spelunking without the company of his lovely amber-haired daughter.

The way I'll work it out is that they try to pass into an area or something where "only the champions may tread" or something absurd like that.

Besides, as far as Erika knows, she's the only person that has been summoned there. Seasoned adventurers like Lara Croft might not have a problem doing this kind of stuff solo but Erika would never bother with that unless maybe the Goddess Euraleen herself gave the commandment.

The God of Death didn't say anything about facing it alone. Marinan didn't say anything about facing it alone. Erika wouldn't dream of facing it alone. Hence the monk chick.

In case you weren't aware I wanted to clarify. To a deciple of death, cleansing and purifying basically means to make it not alive anymore.

I see nothing to dictate you would have holy. After all your faction is no more or less holy then the others.

Agreed. I don't have a single offensive spell in my arsenal, except maybe if we end up fighting undead. It's all healing, benefitial status effects, and stat buffs.

I would imagine your red mage like, both spells but your variety and their effectiveness is less.

AB you dont really need offence if you have enough buffs, just buff yourself and scream HULK SMASH. Besides, can you really die? I am going with the necromancer killability, I can be killed, but not by normal means. It would make sense that you can just revive yourself and/or heal your injuries

Heh, I can do better. I'll take it a step farther and create a Revival Plan. Lose your life and you get two free! Heck, I can make both of them live at the same time if you can supply the humonculus.

The religions of the Empire is built on the creation of Darkness and Light. As such, you are a master of both Shadow and Light magic. In fact, your character's theology is different from the High Priest's.

True true, I however could feel something watching me from earlier, though i dont feel the presence in the area i just feel like i'm being watched.

For all Jaghadi knows it could be scrying, so while i don't feel the presence he does feel like he is being watched.

On the other hand Marinan, how do you see the voids powers working?

As opposed to throwing fireballs and freesing people i am viewing it maor like physical things, so instead of a fireball a fire would spark on their clothes or a chain would appear to restrain them...any input into how you envision these powers working would be nice.
