This idea is kind of like the segment from the Family Guy Movie (you don't have to have seen the movie to understand this thread..) Anyway, what are the things in life that really just get on your nerves?

Here's Mine:
-I hate it when, in forums, people rant about a game being bad, then another person posts in the same topic and asks why the first person thought the game was bad.

I hate it when (and this is mostly on a differant forum I go to) the thread starts out with one person haing a problem only to end up with two different people at each other's necks.

Nintendo and Sony. What happened to the good old days when you could just go out to the store after a console was released, and buy one. But no, this is the 21st century, your ass better be at the store front at three in the god damn morning when it's -25C.

I hate people who dress completely different from how they act. What I'm talking about is when a girl has barely anything on and when someone hits on her, she gets really pissed off. I mean, if you dress like that, then I would at least think that you are trying to get guys to notice you.

Along those same lines, I hate it when its almost Halloween and tons of people dress up like Goths. They don't just put on all black or something like that. They have the black tear lines coming down from their eyes, they have a bunch of rings, and a lot of other stuff. Its just seems really weird to me..

Also, I'm sure that most of you know how much I love Rap. Though, there are just so many rap songs out on the radio right now that just really piss me off. Here's my point. I hate it when they start adding numbers into their rhymes. For example: "something something something four, something something come back for more." That is just the ultimate sign that the damn rapper can't come up with anything better. It just gets on my nerves how it is like that without almost any rap song on the radio nowadays.

Any kind of discussion regarding the timeline of a certain Legendary video game series.

It's basically a flame war between five people.

- The "Double Timeline" Guy
- The "Single Timeline" Guy
- The "Chronological Release Timeline" Guy
- The "Mistranslation, The Japanese version might be different" Guy
- The "It's a ****ing Legend, you Morons!" Guy

I was going to come in and say "Excessively negative people."

But Elflad goddamn preempted me!

How droll.

Where to begin?

Ah yes. The english keyboard.

This maniacal device has no special characters, no abilities to create beautiful language neither has the complexity of choice to write in anything other than english. Yes, ladies and gents, although there are all sorts of different languages that have been grafted into English, there still is no way to properly write them via this mean and base device.
The French keyboard, though harder at first to learn, has a sense about it that rejoices the fingers and gladdens the heart. It is fun to use, and versitile. The only thing that would out Red Mage it is a keyboard in which there are no letters on it; rather just programmable keys for our edification.

Yes, this is a non issue for most. Think of the Englishly rigid though sitting in their ivory towers going, Geeze. How am I going to spell résumé without that special é? lol

ZERO.

I hate it when people call people from the U.S stupid because we have an ass-hat for a leader.

Well, for awhile, only 49% of America was stupid.

Couple years ago? Like, over half of America went pretty stupid overall. So, I mean, pretty safe assumption most of the time!

I mean, come on. Who's kidding who here? >> << >>

I guess it irks me that people get so riled up about some things that are actually kind of dumb. I mean, yeah I understand that some of you are using hyberbole or just being silly (we'll use the nice words here) but come on. You get upset about how other people dress? About rap music? I mean, holy crap, how about stuff like Global Warming or how it is indeed the 21st centuray and we have neither peace on earth OR flying automobiles?! You know, BIG stuff.

I mean, holy crap, how about stuff like ...we have neither peace on earth OR flying automobiles?!Well, we would have the flying car if you'd just let that crazy scientist chop off your foot and, while you were unconcious from the anesthesia, he and his buddies would diddle you.
Clerks/Kevin Smith reference - DO NOT TAKE SERIOUSLY!

Nique, I don't think of Global Warming as a gears-grinding kind of issue. It's not some little thing that irritates you. It's more of a "Sweet, merciful Neptune, we're going to be swallowed up by the cruel, passionless sea! The end is nigh!" kind of situation.

Anyway, what really grinds my gears is fifthfiend's anti pimple-popping agenda.

Popping pimples and then posting about it on a forum is the right of all sentient beings, fifth.

You know what really grinds my gears? Topics that start off being really general then go way off topic like it's the way they should've gone to begin with.

"Sweet, merciful Neptune, we're going to be swallowed up by the cruel, passionless sea! The end is nigh!"

Seriously though, Neptune really grinds my gears. I mean, Pluto was having it good ol' time at the edge of the solar system; and Neptune goes and puts it in scientist's heads that Pluto's too small. 'least that's how I see it.

You know what really grinds my gears?

Pudding skin. I mean, come on, this is the 21st century. Why haven't we developed skinless pudding? Or chicken? Or soup? Screw cancer cures, I demand my semi-liquid meals be non-coagulatory, and my farm fowl to be born with its organs in a seperate baggy.

I hate it when I order a steak 'rare' at a restaurant, and they make it too well done for me to enjoy. People who get steaks that are too rare for them can have the restaurant cook it more, but no, there is no way to un-cook a steak. I would have to get a completely new one, and most restaurants won't do that.

And DeviousToast, the skin is the best part of the pudding. You'd just make another skinless food, when skinful food is clearly better. Just look at chicken.

Screw cancer cures, I demand my semi-liquid meals be non-coagulatory, and my farm fowl to be born with its organs in a seperate baggy.

I quite agree. I mean, we've got blood-thinner -- how hard can pudding-thinner possibly be to create? Futhermore, it seems that organs could be grown externally, in some sort of sac, and thus easily removed in the slaughtering process. I mean, there are those kdis who're born with their hearts on the outside. You're telling me we can't do that with chickens? Bullshit!

Also, Mirai Gen -- porn site? What? Do you actually pay for pornography, like some savage and/or porn addict? I grieve for you, my poor, unwillingly celibate friend.

Maybe that Prime tattoo is driving the ladies away. Hah! Driving! I'm so funny.

Oh, but, yes, you have no sex. Right. Terrible business, that. Very Sad. *Somber*

You know what really grinds my gears?

The fact that we don't just KNOW everything.

I mean, it would solve a ton of problems. There would be no war, no competition, no corruption, no hunger, no struggles. Just happiness for all.

Also, the fact that using a time machine to go back in time really grinds my gears, as well as the stupid way health works in CoD2 and 3. Ooh, especially 3. Where the Tank health system works the same as the Infantry health. Hide behind a building, and your armour grows back...

Whiny people.

Somehow I'll find a way to withstand them in video games, and whiny Luke from the beginning of Star Wars is hilariously enduring. But gat damn, whiny people in real life are freaking annoying. Especially if they're whining about nothing at all of importance.

You Know What Grinds My Gears?

First of all, I concur with Chipper. He's damn right, and could very well be a profit.

Those damn "pleasenoticeme" people. Also known as "needy" people.

You know the ones. They see someone do something and see that they're happy, or that everyone found something funny and in their mind they decide "I MUST DO THAT." They'll copy someone's maneurisms

I mean, come on people. I understand that I'm happy with myself and people laugh at me, but you're you and I'm me. That's just the way it is. And, for the love of god, the annoying dance is only funny when it's entirely unprompted. And...when my pal Joel does it.

Oh, the tales I have.

What grinds my gears are those drivers, the really, really awful ones who cause havoc on the road and then have the sheer gall to honk their freaking horn and yell out their window.

Today, this douchebag hooked around me on the right and cut me off while I was turning left one of the busiest five lane roads in town, and then the son of a bitch shoots me the bird and did this motion with his hands, bothof his hands, that I assume was ment to tell my to get off of his bumper, which I was nowhere near.

So I was damn near killed because of an impation asshole who couldn't wait his turn in the traffic column and shot me the finger because he apparently is more important than I am.

...Time to go chop wood before I take my axe with me in the car.

Anyway, what I hate is having to wake up so early on the weekdays to go to school. I mean, I go to sleep anywhere from 12-2 and wake up at 12 on the weekends, but then on weekdays, I have to go wake up 6 to go to school.

One of the reasons why I just can't stand Mondays... or Tuesdays... or any weekday besides Friday for that matter.

Know what I hate? I hate when people dismiss something because it's for girls.

I also, really really despise, loathe and hate stupid people, pretentious people, a certain proportion of assholes, and those who are a combination of all three. People are demoralizing, judgemental, irrational, and seem to have a hard time bumping brain cells together to form a thought that might be original, unique or at the very least observant of the shit they do, they put people through and the effects of their actions. Pretentious people are who stupid people listen to; people who pretend to be original or have bright ideas but are infact just as moronic as the next person. And then the assholes, some assholes are fine, as they have a good reason to be, but being an asshole just to be an asshole means you need a foot in your ass, fucking your homophobic brains out.

Aaaah. That's better.

I hate it when people say they hate rap and that it used to be real good. Rap is still good people, it's just it's popular now which means it falls under the "masses are asses" rule, the rule being that when something becomes popular, in order to see real originality one must either wait around and hope something good floats to the top or one must learn to dig deeper under the corporate radar.

I just don't like people dismissing rap for the wrong reasons. Rap can be poetry and can be a beautiful thing. It's just Pop Rap has done a good job of hiding that part.

Also, if you are a Republican you may not like this song. :p

What really grinds my gears is when people say how much fallout boy sucks. Not because I like them or anything, but because they went to the high school I attended last year (before I moved back to Canada), and just thinking about that makes me ashamed on the inside.:( We had a big bunch of of famous people for a public school. Like Donald Rumsfeld, and Hugh Heffners daughter. All those people grind my gears. (Except Heffy's daughter only grinds my gears in that she wasnt there at the same time i was)

YKWRGMG...Working third shift. My shift has no one else in the damn plant, its just me. I'm bored as hell, if anything goes wrong it automatically becomes my fault (true or not), and it causes me hurt in the social scene. Well, from the the way you phrased that last part, you have internet access, no? If so, then you can waste your hours away on that! (I realize you can't be entertained by the internet all the time, but it's still better than nothing at all)

More on-topic, it really grinds my gears when my sister leaves some food or drink out, forgets about it for a day or so (leaving me to believe it's "up for grabs"), then gets mad at me for eating/drinking it! I've been away from her food/drink lately because of that, and guess what happens when she leaves it out? It goes bad and stinks up the room (because she, obviously, forgets to clean it up), leaving me to clean it up!

Ummmm... about running mp3's that you "legally" or even "illegally" obtain, you can do that, if I'm correct. Well, at least my iTunes does. It's as simple as adding a folder with music in it to iTunes or adding a file. Now, about the iPod having that much access to your computer and such, I can see that as some viable fear of a back door to your computer, but if that statement was completely true, you wouldn't be connecting to the internet, now would you? :P

Demetrius

I have my computer locked down hard unless I am on it. I run many port scannners, process scanners, virus/malware scanners and black ice constantly. If anything goes down and I can't kill it immendietly I'm unplugging my network cable, doing a hard shutdown and pulling my cmos battery. Yeah I'm paranoid, but my little brother is amazing when it comes to doing stuff you shouldn't do to other people's computers.

As for adding a folder in itunes, I don't want to have to use that. I drag mp3's and drop 'em onto my sandisk with no issues. I will install itunes when I start using AOL.

You can drag and drop onto an ipod but the ipod will not recognize them as playable media unless you use itunes. I also despise how uninvolved you are in the data transfers for your ipod, not to mention all the things itunes 'does for you' like sifting through your computer for more mp3s and constantly keeping you up to date with the itunes servers...again I would have automatic updates turned on if I wanted to have everyone in the world looking through my crap.

Beyond that, my knowledge of media players are limited.
