Sam(ProphetX) might hate me for this, but it's just far too great for his self consciousness to get in the way.

Listen to this:

That is done by our very own runner of RaiRO on these forums. I mean, I just wow'd when he's repeatedly told me he was horrible.

Wonderful voice.

That is pretty damn good...
Very folkish.
I am a sucker though for acoustics.

This is only interesting because it's someone we know. Nonetheless, not too bad.

Lack of common courtesy or the intent to demean someone who, as I stated in my post, was already self conscious about their work can be interchangeable and used at the same time.

What in the world compelled you to say that? I mean really, that lacked a certain bit of...tact. Use the Golden Rule next time you comment on someone's work.

And, hell, you know he's John Denver incarnate.

The link appears to be broken -- did he take it down? That would be a shame; I always appreciate free, folky music, especially when it's spawned of NPF.

Sorry Mesden (I wonder how many times that's said), it was midnight when I wrote it, so I felt a bit... cynical.

Hmm, yeah, he seems to have broken the link messing with his stuff.

Crazy Prophet.

Not sure if I can get it back up or not, though.

It's not that he messed it up. He got sober, embarassed, and broke the link.

Well, two outta three ain't bad. ProphetX is -never- -EVER- sober.

Hmm...it's a shame the link is down. I always like to hear new music.

If I were a cynical man I might use this thread to try and convince people to go listen to the songs on my Myspace. Oh, wait, I AM. The link's in the sig, and I apologize for the recording quality.

And now back on topic: Is there any chance Prophet will repost the song, or that someone could send it to me? I'd really like to hear it.

Proph actually recovered from his emo-attack sufficently for a repost, so I'm assuming it's okay to re-up here. So:

He even threw in a B-side:

Enjoy.

Maybe his singing is unbelievably awesome that it somehow is horrible.

Yeah, I don't get why he would say he was horrible either.. That was amazing! You could do definitely go places with that talent, Prophet. It was really good.

Hooray for drunken inspiration!

Dammitt! From the few bits and pieces of the songs I heard, they sound pretty good. But the reason why I said "bits and pieces" is because the songs are janky (no, that is not a spelling error) on my computer because I never hear the whole song, only disconnected parts of it. :(

Wow, now I feel wholly incompetent as an artist. Really great stuff there. Great recording quality too - it sounded downright professional.

I was going to agree with you and say that, from an honest view point, you are right and this really doesn't demean the guy's talent, just pointing out a fact but then... well, I listened to the music. After that, I have this to say. HOLY FUCKING CHRIST!!!! It's like I stepped back into the seventies and am tripping on some type of hallucinogen while I wave my lighter in the air and think about having sex with the chick named Starchild that gave me a joint.

Seriously, that was amazing, and you, FBM, are a horrible, horrible man with no ears. :p

I'm sorry, alright? I should have just shut my damn mouth and go listen to something else, but I didn't, and I feel like trash for saying what I did, okay? If I could go back and undo it I would, but I can't, so can we just ignore everything I said, pretty please?

Oh, I know that, but I wanted it on-the-record, yunno? And I hate being reminded of it, but that's just my problem.

EDIT: sorry, if I put you on the spot or anything, I didn't mean to do that.
