Why do you think Sarda wants the elemental orbs?
My favorite theory is that he is going to use them to heat his cave. They can be quite drafty, you know.

It could be for something highly trivial (hey, this is Sarda).
Or it could be something highly destructive (again, Sarda).
I would just say it would be something fairly stupid.

More importantly, will 8-bit end when they are collected? It was the point of the game.

Who says there are only four orbs? There could be dozens! Or hundreds! Thousands upon thousands of orbs, each more inconsequential than the last! An orb for every condiment! An orb for every species of potato! Two orbs in every garage!
8BT IS ETERNAL.

It's no Dragonball... dont worry, there wont be extra orbs, like the Orb of Thunder or the Orb of Wackadoodle

It probably won't end right away, but I think we're already well past halftime at this point. About two thirds to three quarters through, maybe? Either way, there's still Chaos to take care of, not to mention certain Dark God-related subplots. Which may or may not be the same.
But yeah, I've said it before: the Light Warriors' lack of persistance when questioning Sarda will turn against them one day.

Of course Sarda would probably do something not very nice to them just for questioning him.

Perhaps Sarda plans to somehow use them it a threesome with Mat....
No its too horrible, forget it.
Here's a thought: Maybe he wants them to go and get the orbs because he wants the orbs. What if he just likes how they look and the added benefit of seeing the four of them in extreme agony as they go about collecting them? Considering how nice of a guy Sarda is, that doesn't seem incredibly unlikely...

I think it is only half way done, because the fiends the gods and the dark warriors still need to do somthing with light warriors, right before chaos.

I couldn't help but laugh at your stupid guesses. I keep forgetting that others aren't omnicient. (You'd think I know that since I'm omnicient and all...)
Haha. Keep guessing. Y'all are a laugh a minute.
You'll find out soon enough.

Now that you mention it, it doesn't sound all that far off that maybe they do pick up a fifth orb. But anything past that seems a bit skeptical to me. I doubt there'd be a sixth orb, if not to just continue the plot further, before or after Chaos.
And the whole storyline of 8-Bit Theatre's sure to catch up to the comic. I mean, how much plot do we actually know? We have the Real Light Warriors, who are showing up as a joke, but could be more in the end run, especially since I highly doubt you can escape the fact they're four chosen warriors by fate. Plus, there are the Dark Warriors. There are the Other Warriors, who have to show up at least once more before the end of the comic and string on at least 20 more pages of their adventure. And we have to find out the driving forces in the comic, from Sarda, to Dr. Swordopolis, to Magus, to even Chaos, himself. I'd agree with xravi that it is really close to only half way done.

Ahhhhrrr. Damn you! Though not to hell because I'm an atheist <_< >_>.
Anyway, I just thought; if the orbs are needed to preserve the world, maybe Sarda just wants to stick them in a safe and bury it so no one ****s with them?
He probably just wants to furnish his shelves. Life's probably a game of Animal Crossing to him.
Either that, or he's Chaos, Black Mage is Chaos, Fighter is Chaos, Akbar is Chaos, Kary is Chaos, Darko is Chaos, EVERYONE IS CHAOS.

Yeah, because that Sarda's such a nice guy, what with his caring for others.

Better yet, the entire world is, in fact, an elaborate game of Animal Crossing and Sarda is just that one jackass character who runs around other people's towns and chops down their trees.
