Okay got www.rpgfan.com and read and look at pics of FFXII and come back here to give me your thoughts on the game. Yes it comes out next month in Jp and about 6 to 8 months for us.

kinda interesting that its set in ivalice, same place as Tactics and Tactics Advance. looks to be kinda far in the future as there are a lot of tall buildings in a city of some sort. wonder if we'll hear any legends of the great king delita, or the heretic ramza.

Amen to that. I simply can't deal with the fact that the male leads don't look like guys anymore. Judging from appearance alone, they could all be super-flat-chested girls.

AND THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR YEARS. MAKE IT STOP, SQUENIX! WHY MUST YOU TORTURE ME SO?

Urgh. I'm sick of feeling like my sack is going to shrivel and fall off when I pick up my controller and see their logo.

well, if you look at FFX-2 you will see all the very nice less clothing on Yuna and Riku and Paine. so what ever you say doesnt really matter.

I wholeheartedly concur. I realise that they are probably just going for an anime-ish style, since their concept art is practically done that way, but seroiusly. Enough with the pointy chins!! And freaky clothing on people! Why can't alternate realities ever dress normally? When FFX came out, I couldn't tell if Tidus was man or woman; same problem with Zidane.

That shirt of Vaan's... is only appropiate for the monks of FFT.

Erm, where did you get your "yes it comes out in 1 month in Japan!!" info from? According to the very site you linked to "Final Fantasy XII is currently about 70% complete and has a Japanese release date of summer 2004. "

I think it looks very VERY nice and could possibly be a fantastic game with everything I have seen. This judgement s based off the 3 minute preview video I saw yesterday. The characters look to be the main focus (FFVIII and X esque). The music sounds fantastic from what I have heard so far and the game seems to have another original game system. Andto top it all off, both Nabuo Uematsu and the games creators think it is the best story they have ever created for a FF game.

What I want to see is a dual language Japanese/English release for America. Don't jump on me with some dubbing debate, I'm just saying the Japanese voices I heard in the preview were no short from being amazing. Even if the English ones were better or fit more, I will want to play once through with the Japanese voices and hear them in their intierty (sp).

And I'm ok with whatever the people look like (unless they look amazingly ugly or something) as long as they are good characters. And the atmosphere for this game....looks amazing, along with the idea of different levels of society (both in the caste type system and the very Blade Runner/Judge Dredd/Final Fantasy VII type world division). I want to see how this game plays out, I really do.

Any the game is set for a Summer 2004 Japanese release so....its not coming next month.

I hope by "Best Story They Have Ever Created For A Final Fantasy Game" they don't mean "Most Hours Of Cutscenes Ever Created For A Final Fantasy Game."

It sounds more like the story could have some depth beyond FFX's "We should go defeat this superpowerful monster..."

Also, I hope for a real overworld.

I like Vaan..I think he's cute...They make the guys pretty to attract girls..Otherwise it'd be one big T&A show like FFX2, which I loved but Rikku's outfit were on the sluty side...Why would I wanna' play a game with an average guy and a princess in a miniskirt who likes to pose to show off her ass in said miniskirt?:thief:

Umm, it'll come out probably Summer of 2004 in Japan and probably Chirstmas in the US.

Tidus and Zidane never looked feminine to me... probably because I'm an Asian :D . Well, about Vaan he looks a *bit* feminine to me.

I'm excited about this game. :)
