OOC: Picking up where we left off...MC has decided to leave the rp for now, so don't get all hung up over his character leaving, just let him go.
BIC: Akia had decided to take the first watch. She sat in the tall branches of a tree with her kama's at her side, watching for an attack. She noticed Nobuki wandering around the camp. "can't sleep?"

Toshiro snored loudly, a line of drool moving slowly up and down as he breathed.
OOC: (Takes a breath) Ok... I'm gonna try and keep up, but if this gets out of hand, I'm gonna have to stop. My time is stretched very thin over the next week or two...
Nobuki stopped and thought to himself. Why am I doing this? There is no reason for me to leave. They need me here. If I leave... I will have broken many promises, one of them from the very man that trained me. He looked to the ground and sighed. I couldn't do that. I couldn't break his promise.
"Can't sleep?"
He twisted his entire body into a fighting stance, only to find Akia standing gaurd over the camp. "Oh... it's only you..." He relaxed, but didn't move from his spot. "Actually... No. I can't... there are many things on my mind, I was going to try and clear my head with a walk, but apparently you have caught me." He took the steps that would lead him back to the camp.

She looks over to Toshiro. "Ewww.... the kid needs a bib or something."
<A bib? He needs alot more then that.>
<You know who i miss.... Maleno. Now that was a nice young man.>
<Yeah... he was. Right up until idiot took over me and killed him.>
<Idiot? Why does everyone call me idiot? It really hurts...... kill!>
<Shut up!!>
<I just need to stay awake.>
<Let me stay awake for you! That way you can sleep, but we can still keep a watch on all of them!>
"Toshiro, wake up..... you're starting to drool."

Ith walked over and took up watch. He made sure to stay as far away from the fire as he could without being out of camp. He looked back as the girl attempted to wake sleeping beauty.
"He's out stone cold girl. If we propped him up on a stick he'd stay there."

She looked over at the old man and then giggled. "Oh, really, a stick? That would be quite interesting. Why are you sleeping? A man at your age should get some rest!" She made her way to the old man, grabbing his arm and trying to walk him over to where everyone had been resting.

He smiled at the girl. She was sweet, but uninformed about this worlds more interesting facets.
"I don't sleep. I meditate. I have forsaken all that which bound my senses to this world in my past life. Including sleep."
He gently took her hand off of his arm, being careful not to prick her with the neko-te that he wore.
"Although it is good that you think of things such as this. I'm also not as old as you would think. Youth is in the soul. Not these pitiful vessels that harbor our souls between dreams."
He smiled, it was a little force but for the most part he meant it.

Tuchai was having his recurring nightmare again. Flames were everywhere. He saw the faces of his parents, and then a large shadow. He saw blood everywhere as his parents were trying to fight the thing off. They fell and the shadow went for him. He tried to fight back, only to find himself sitting up and gasping for air in the group's little campsite. This nightmare had haunted him for nine years and he had always wanted vengeance. Killing Demons seemed to be the only happiness he could really find in his life, just so he could avenge his parents. He got up and started pacing. He hadn't been able to properly sleep for nine years and was getting sick of it.

"So..... What's the best way to completely knock someone unconcious... unless you just want to tell me how to kill someone without creating too much blood."
<Damn it! Give me back the body, Idiot!>
<What the hell do you think you're doing?!>
<That's it, I'm taking over, i can't leave you all alone for one second>
She looked at him and smiled, then laughed.. "It's just a joke. I'm not serious."

Hutari had laid down in a tree where he had slept lightly. He opened his eyes to see Ith and the new girl talking. He smiledand threw an acorn at Ith that was aimed perfectly for his shoulder. He had to stifel a laugh as it flew in the air.

Ith turned swiftly and grabbed the acorn out of the air. He then whipped it at Hutari aimed directly between the younglings eyes.
"You make way to much sound young one."
He said and then turned back to the girl.
"So you wanted to know the best way to incapacitate a foe? It's ok such knowledge is useful."
He rested two fingers on the connection of nerves in her forehead.
"A sharp rap there and your foe won't awake for many hours."

He hefts the acorn lightly in his hand and feels it out. He then throws it rather hard out into the forest. There's a little rustle that can be heard far off in the distance.
"I'd say about that far."

Tuchai was clueless about what to do. He couldn't quite get any more seelp and there wasn't much that could possibly count as time consuming to him. He took out his swords and started to sharpen them. He started thinking as he was sharpening, If I can keep this up until we start moving, I could cut through practically anything! Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Make it sharp so it's easier to kill stuff. It was obvious that he was bored and didn't feel like doing anything else.

(( The party found a campground and slept...then talked about nothing in particular. Not much missed. ))
The group had slept long and hard, for their bodies need the warm, loving embrace of sleep and rest. They'll need it, seeing as this journey, no matter how it turns out, will tax them greatly.
However, Jinza's army hadn't stopped moving in the night. Knowing that time is a most precious commodity, he'd ordered that half his troops' beasts of burden move during the day, while the other half carries the other at night. They might move slower than the ninjas this way, but they'll still outpace them by moving twenty-four seven.
Awakening with a soft yawn, Jinza himself looks around at the trees scrolling and bobbing by. Immediately he addresses an aide and asks, "What is our status?"
He's a little shocked to get his answer from Borei. "We are closing on the bear and the jewel. We should catch him in about an hour."
Jinza looks him over and asks, "Have any of our scouts made contact?"
"No," Comes Borei's simple answer.
"Good. We shouldn't allow him to know that we're following him. It will only make him panic."
"Father, there is something else," Shenzi tells him.
He turns back and asks, "Yes?"
"The Demon Slayers...they are also close to the jewel," She answers.
Slowly he turns back around, considering it. "Well...today might just be a most interesting day, indeed."

OOC: Thankya. :D
IC: Kansai listened to the others talking amongst themselves while he gazed into the fire. Vivid memories of his childhood came flooding back to him. While they were scattered and unorganised fragments, they all followed a common thread: death, pain, suffering. Kansai shook his head and looked up at the group. It would be a long night.

Akia had a restless night. If she would have been with her usual group, she would have slept better. But as she didn't really know many of the members of her new group, she was unsettled. She woke up seeing that most of the otehrs were awake as well. "Well if most of us are up already, we might as well get moving. Jinza's army is no doubt moving through the night, and he might pass us." She gathered up her things and addressed the others. "If ym calculations are correct, we should be about an hour or so from the bear demon. He is probably asleep or moving slowly to conserve energy from running all day. We'll split up in groups of two, head in different directions and surround it." It was a classic Slayer move, but very effective against scared demons.
OOC: I figure this will give the char time to develop and make bonds and whatnot. Decide amoungst yourselves who'll go with who either by just posting or by pming each other. If someone doesn't respond, let me know so that I can pm them. If they don't answer me, then they're out of the rp.
Nobuki nodded at the comment. "No point in waiting for the bear to come to us. Good idea! Let us hurry!" He turned and started into the darkness himself, slowly so anyone could catch up with him if they chose.

"Not quite yet Mr. Stick-boy," replied Tuchai with a smirk. He was still being quiet, but that didn't mean he couldn't have fun. He sheathed his swords and started walking with the group. He had lost track of how long he was sharpening his swords, but it had been more than a couple hours that he was doing that. Better to wait until I can hit something, he thought.

"Alright, whoever wishes to will follow me in one group. Now, don't get too slow, for we may have to press hard to catch up to the demon bear."
Dinoshi, being older, was perfect for leading one group around to the demon bear. His age showed both his experience and ability. Dinoshi then headed in one direction, one that he considered perfect for surrounding the demon bear at one side. He used his bo staff's chain to make small marks on the trees as he went, just so the others would know where he was.

It was a few minutes when Nobuki realized that no footsteps were behind him. He turned and saw that the group was still mingling. He dropped his head and sighed. "All right people, It appears that we don't have much organization here." He took a look at all the people. He didn't get the chance to learn everyone's names, so this was going to be a hard job.

Dinoshi walked back out into the clearing. He had a path ready and came back when no one followed. He whipped his chain back into the bo staff and then leaned on it as he leered around at the others.

"Screw that, I'll just go alone. Either that or someone goes with me right now. I'm gonna draw that thing out so what does it matter? See you guys later." He was getting alittle pissed that they were taking so long. He could only mess around for a certain amount of time before he started to take things seriously. Now he was starting to think alittle before he acted.
Nobuki shrugged, "Sounds like a plan." With that, he turned and started walking away.

for his size Kansai was moving disturbingly quietly and disturbingly fast at the same time. The stench of the demon was getting stronger and more repulsive every step Kansai took.

OOC: Whoa... I've been gone for a while... and nothing happens? I'm surprised.
His head dropped. He hated when he did that. In fact, if he was smart, he would jump up in the trees and follow her lead, but he liked the ground better. It wasn't that he hated hights, far from, he just liked to have his feet on the ground. He nodded and walked along without saying a word, waiting for the signal that something was near.
