View Full Version : Fantasy army league (like football) join in!

All Right if i am not overstepping myself now i never will. I am attempting something unheard of (I think) in Forum RP. ANYONE IS IN. but you need to be descriptive. This is going to be war. no holds bar all uncensored ready to go and in your face. The premise is simple You tell me what your army is your navy and your airforce and aw why not space fleet. (NO DEATH STARS OR SUNCRUSHERS THATS UNFAIR) Basically everyone will get a go at someone in the match up of the week. then after a grueling and decisive processess and throwing in the players strategies (these can be any strategies) I and a highly skilled team (lab test monkies) will reinact the battle to your wishes using highly advanced equipment (minitures and paper footballs) then post the unbiased (bribes help) results and how the battle tuned out. At the end of all this the most winning team at the end of all twelve rounds will get to take on MY ARMY in the the thirteenth round and winner is undisputed Exhalted Champion of Stategey (if I lose it goes to the guy who one most.) The way to win is by points (which will be displayed after i get enough people.) The match-ups will be displayed then you are to post your strategey or if you fell PM or if you still feel unsafe incrypt (with some sort of code told to me.) In all I just need an even number of generals admirals commandonts whatever to sign up just tell me what your army navy airforce and space fleet consists of. actually scratch the air force (unless of course its requested enough.) EXODUS WANTS YOU FOR FANTASY ARMY LEAGUE!!! Also anyone who wants to help out in ways feel free to submithelp it will be recognized and who knows maybe you'll get to be the one putting in the strategies for my flagship space fleet (oh meciful sweet Magneto please give me a cunning strategist if this hapens) or maybe youll get an award named after you or something (more on those later) until then SIGN UP!!!!

Indeed, what prevents someone from saying, "I use a modern army of tanks and soldiers", then the next guy saying, "Oh yeah? Well my army is 30 story mechs that smash your army!" and then the NEXT guy from saying, "Well my army is 60 story mechs that smash your 30 story mechs, muahaha!" There needs to be some more specific guidelines...

Alright first after the people haave told me there armies (what there made up of what they do etc) then the day for battle comes then they say what they as a general or whatever order as the strategy for there army to do this is all or nothing so i suggest studying your enemy. Now i know this doesn't encompass much nut me and my crew of acolytes will then using a combanation of Yahoo messenger D-20 randomizers systems and live camera stuff will simulate a battle between the two armies scedualed to clash. then when a person has clearly had victory that will not end it because that does not always mean victory so half time reports will be posted then they get to order there troops at half time specifically what to do to make the battle go better. who ever is the clear victor gets the win. during the "season" we will keep track of this like football (so even if you lose one battle does not mean its the end of the war) for 12 rounds. who ever has the most wins gets to go up agains tmy army at the end. And since you posted first JADGuy I will (if you want) put you up for cheif strategiest for my army(yet to be named) Any other questions and I will be happy to answer them.

Ok I'm going to have a highly futuristic army. I don't really want to disclose it all here unless nessecsary. Basically there will be a space core fleet that then created a large number of genetically engineered creatures along with technology used to enhance them. They range from lumbering titans used to break lines to incredibly small spies. However they do have several weaknesses being creations of such science which vary from unit to unit.

I don't have a complete unit list and as soon as I do I'll hand it over to you Exodus.

Forever Zero JADGuy i want you two to be my chief millitary advisers for the way you think. As for size limitations i am going to say this. Salary Cap. Ahem Here is how the army cookie crumbles all armies may only have 10,000 units and they are as follows
50% main army must consist of Soldiers of a race to be defined but cannot be invisible undead or infalibale in anyway, they may consist of anything that fits within those guid lines additional note no soldier may be over ten feet tall by ten wide.
25% Calvary and artilary this includes jeeps humvees spec vehicals tanks mechs etc they have a max size of 30 by 30 feet. they may not be made out of adimantium or any other indestructable alloy and may not have shields that last for over ten shots and may not be invisible
10% Medics Engineers Commandos and other Spec ops personal units. may be invisible until they fire or preform specific function and also apply to the other soldier rule.
10% Air Cav (EX AIRFORCE) helicopters jets etc. No nuclear capabilities may not fly faster than mach 5 cannot use Specialized weaponry besides that specific to vehicle type (sorry guys no death lazers) Only 1% may be invisible and standard vehicle rules apply to this.
5% Outsized vehicals and buildings. May not move more thatn 5mph and may be any size up to 100ft by 100ft. may carry any weapon not deemed unusable by the soon to be posted weapons and arms guide. more on buildings later.

In all honesty, if you use some very bizarre reasoning, he could make it an army of kittens with military training, and weapons built for their specific size and... paws. I imagine this as the most bizarre army ever devised, but it would be a riot to imagine...

I assume he'll have more rules up later, including space rules. For instance, what bout orbital bombardment from space units attacking the planet, and could space fighters be deployed to fight ground units?

Space will only battle Space to kep things from getting confusing although it could logically work (homeworld anyone?) as for species well like Zero said more on that later after all i am only a witch doctor. But I may allow certain special one use things like one space raid per game or ion cannon strike or nuke shot or turn army into kittens. but that will be determined later. so just keep that in mind

The message has not gotten to me yet as i am still n my other rp as well however a tech and weapon guide i will put out at EXACTLY 12:00 MIDNIGHT 2/18/04. tommorow i will also put out the space rules. and an expanded army doc. but for now how about the name of the final battle.

Oh yeah, a Super Star Destroyer will be my flagship, you can keep your Robotech ship, the SSD would tear it to shreads before it can power up its main gun.

Of course, we will need to wait for space rules to come in first...

Rhuelal, think outside the box teleporting is cool but no. I will allow for some things but no. And no taking already used armies be as creative as Ihatemakingnames. Well maybe not but you get the point. <here lies a spoiler for the space system> think about how many times i mentioned homeworld. that should give you an idea on how i am gonna run fleets, but ships, hehehe lets jst say some of you will be shocked literally

Hey I just called some shit so I could spew out a large variety of modifications of the same basic unit depending on the battlefield.

I'm leaving myself open so I can be creative later. Something which IHMN despises me for.

I think the point is not to do that, because you have to do the best with the starting army you design, not change your army for every battle so you always win...

You have to hope the army you make at first is enougb to beat every other opponent, regardless of their limitations. As a judge, I'm looking for a very specific army, not "I have men, with lots of stuff they can equip" then every battle you basically have a totally different army. You need to design on army, stikc with it, and hope you thought it through enough that it works.

Dang no one word answers... Yes you may and please do so i am a strategist at heart but when it comes to massive armies i forget things. so yes please do. Also I am looking for an Admiral of My Navy in this RP, Navy Rules are same as space only with a few minor details. and ruhael thast alright. We just need more people. why is my server so laggy geee. Lik e oforever zero said no constantly changing army, although if you think hard enough THERE IS A WAY AROUND THIS (and if you catch ill tell you if your right.) although it is VERY UNORTHODOX. but for the most part you cannot constantly change your army. (and no it aint the gear)

I didn't mean redesign them. I meant mutate them mid-battle. Sort of like borg sheilding. What did Janeway do against that? Variable phase blaster rifles.

But n/e way I should make something else. I think I'll run a futuristic version of formorian armys. That'd be cool.

Hmm, I'm probably going for a modified Star Wars Empire type army/space force. Minus the Deathstars and Sun Crusher of course... "Fear will keep them in line."

EDIT: Hyperspace for the Reflexive Jump (Which didn't that transport them to a random place when the used it?), and for the shield, I'm thinking Proton Torpedos (Although I don't know enough about the shield to know how it works.)

Wow if only Nasa worked this fast. ahem sorry for no update but yes for all future cases Hyperspacing/Jumping is most definitly in. However so are ion cannons and arrays. Since i am in a good mood i will EDIT A RULE!!! (this is due to a new distortion pedal for exodus's guitar) All Right There May be 1 sun crusher! only one in your space fleet more on space rules at designated time. i am also allowing cloaking for soldiers but lets just say there will be a catch. Alright if you need any more info i will answer more questions tomorrow (that is if my fake restraining order for my ex-girlfriend/biggest mistake of my life works out if not and i do not make it i leave Forever zero in charge of this RP.) So Email stuff you want to know to me other than that i will say this if you want help with space fleets look up homeworld. Armies look up classic command and conquer Navy well i think i might drop that out unless i get a response. Also I want you guys to start making up names for your armies because well the name Army #4 has no soul.

ha no volron fleet that would be just cruel. Only one planet nuker and its for space use only and i am going to make a lot of things on it in the rules for space fleet. as for an army of voltrons well umm i'll think about it. (that means probably no)

Booyah, I call the Suncrusher as part of my Imperial fleet! You just can't beat something that is totally invincible to any attack, and that can just nuke the systems star if the battle doesn't go m way!

I'm of course kidding, and will think up a more balanced super weapon. You know, you technically CAN hurt the Death Star...

You guys remember change the names, and also I am adding in an unvited gues to the space games (heh) that nobody would have seen coming. Space Mechs aka gundams. They are in, only under one condition, you use totally unique ones, not ones from the series's. and they can attack armies for future refrence, (i think i just made one person happy, crap...)

Yes MRF (mobile repair facilities) MCY's(mobile Construction Yards [fix buildings]) are in and of course you can have macross cities repair facilities let me go ask them <phone call> for 5,050,620,070,770,080,990,001 and 55 cents. hmm i guess that means no. But you can have a cheap knock off though.

Fine from now on if its a part of your ship or what ever it can be used for what ever on some sort of ground unit (WITHIN REASON) however SDF-1 is almost to awesome for this but then i am remenided that everyone gets a cool ship so in the spirit of you catching the loop hole i will say fine. SO BE IT. oh and yes no immortals. Although the image of every immortal fromdorian gray to the people of highlander to that one guy is cool it just doesn't work with the point system (revealed at midnight.)

Any or All of These Are legal to put on your ships but you may only put each on a certain unit and that unit may only make up for 5 percent of your force, and you may put multiple units on one ship but no more than 5 also you may assign certain abillities more than once with certain groups these technologies may be put on 20% of your force (PM for that list)

Also I need people to pick a launch Date. I will also need army names Please make them somewhat original, also wants thats up i will put in the DRAFT for hero characters (there will be fourty picks) This wil be done NBA Style ( except its for only 4 rounds) ALSO for those of you who think this RP is well a little hard or unusual or too unorthodox can Draft one of the heros and Register him as a merc and we will just put him on a side.. THE HERO DRAFT STARTS TONIGHT AT MIDNGHT FOR BOTH ARMIES AND FLEETS... THIS MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR ANYONE TO PLAY. People who are already in the heros just add to your odds but I have completley randomized the Draft order here is as follows

Also You four might start to make some more armys foursn't nearly enough so each of you make another.. also anyone who wants to go merc style after these guys pick twenty you get to pick whats left. Also none of your armies will have to fight your own army. Actually I'll Move it to a diffrent night at a diffrent time depending on what you guys think...
