Okay. So the first post is up from Aidan. All of your characters will be getting summons fairly quickly, if not already. Most of you would be on assignment doing damage control of one fashion or another. Blindmime, you'll probably get the summons when your current Mode o' Transportation lands.

To start this story off I'm going to reveal a bit of Sons of Pluto information here. More will come in the discussion thread as the story moves.

-------------Sons of Pluto caches----------------

No secret organization is without it's supply of caches. Some call them safe houses, shadow flats, bunkers, etc. The Sons of Pluto hid very well placed storages of ships, ammunition, tools, etc... on every major colony and world. Their locations have changed over the years, and often times are made known only to their elite operatives for emergency use.

Any attempts to access the Sons of Pluto storage facility without proper genetic clearance (Standard keys were replaced with DNA scans), would yield various errors. Attempts to dig deeper would merely redirect investigators to various well-maintained dummy corporations also found on every colony.
------------------------------------------------------

---------Dummy Corporations---------------

A key to misinformation is creating falsified fronts to dissuade enemies from your true nature. The Sons of Pluto own many investment firms, manufacturing sites, and merchant companies. Perhaps what safeguards them from prying eyes is the fact these are wholly functional facilities in and of themselves.

However, an overwhelming majority of the employees and staff are operatives within the Sons of Pluto. A decently sized civilian employment base is kept to maintain the full illusion of the company's autonomy from the Sons themselves. These civilians are as oblivious to the true nature of their company as the authorities that would investigate them.

What will the summons read? do we make it up ourselves our wait for you to write it out.

Hrm. You'll recieve a one sentence message. It will simply state "Condition Alpha Omega". That's the code to abandon current missions and return to base. It'll come either over communicator if you have one with you, a message via a data pad (PDA of the fuuutuuure!), etc... That's all it will say. But everyone will know what it means.

Figured that the way my character uses to kill would be a good reason to consider her a suspect.

Okay, I will be PMing all of you from here on in with any specific instructions. When we arrive on scene, all of you will be finding various things, and I will give you information on what it is. It will be up to you how, if at all, you present the findings to the group :)

Also, I have picked who I want the killer to be, and I will be informing said party this week as well. I will not announce who it is, as only I and the killer shall be aware of it. :) Good luck, gumshoes!

And you just know it won't be me who gets picked as the killer. Why? Too easy. Too cliched. Veteran cyborg chick with her personality tortured out of her head? Way too easy. Everyone's going to be looking at her when they collectively find out that an SoP did it.

I hope we totally find Clue weapons during our search and seizure of the president's suite. "Hmmm...a candlestick. Odd thing to find in the billiard room."

Flarecobra

Can't be mine, dispite having the obvious choise for a weapon that leaves nothing behind but a higher protein count...

Tyrazial
05-29-2007, 05:14 PM
I am not giving any hints at this point. The killer's been notified. If you haven't been picked, don't post it. If you have, don't post it. It must be a mystereeeeee.. :)

Who knows, I might've even picked more than one. ;)

I shall reveal who did it!

...

It was her butler! Just one broken dish of the fine china and she docks half his pay, so she had to pay. In the face. With one of those punching clown dolls.

Nah it was Professor Plum with the Lead Pipe in the Kitchen. No lie.

Tyrazial
05-29-2007, 06:01 PM
Damnit.. The RP is ruined. I never should've picked the butler.

Flarecobra
05-29-2007, 06:21 PM
It's always the butler.

Tyrazial
05-29-2007, 06:53 PM
damn the predictable plots! Why must they steal my ideas before I have them?! I will post again once you all show up on the ship. :) Make sure to check all who've posted first, I counted 3 of you being the "first one to arrive" to the briefing room :)

TheBlindMime

It was me! I called dibs on it! No one else was close! Anyone other then me being there first is a lie, lies and slander against my name and I wont have it!

Alright. Here's the information not yet described your characters now have full access to. For one, you'll have full access to everyone's background, save for assignments, covers, etc... The only person inaccessible will be Aidan's profile. Any information on the Will will also be locked down.

If the team's Eye wants to do any digging, he can PM me and I'll roll to see whether you succeed. :)

Core World Alliance politics

In the year leading up to the assassination of the President of the CWA, there had been a wealth of political situations requiring attention of the Sons of Pluto. She had made some controversial moves to de-segregate the various castes that seemed to have formed themselves over the generation. With race being almost a non-existent issue, the big seperation came in the form of worker classes.

While a democracy, it was still rung with the problems of capitalist economies. That being said, the seperation of upper, middle, and lower classes divided into many subcategories. Earth, having been almost tapped to it's extreme for resources, was riddled with pockets of destitution and poverty. The entire continent of Australis had become a home to the less fortunate, the dregs of the Alliance gravitating into a central mass of sorts.

The elite kept to various floating stations or encapsulated cities that dotted Europe and Asia. On Mars, mining colonies covered almost the entire mass of the red planet's surface, seperated my long stretches of underground mines and orbital residential colonies.

Venus and Mercury held the industrious military complexes. Using their closer proximity to the sun as a better source of power, the solar-powered complexes produced the military vessels used to protect the CWA from external threats. All these different groups had feelings of discontention with one another that came to light recently, causing many rebellious groups to rise.

Many rose and fell silently, the Sons sending their might Hands to dissuade any revolutions from starting. Voices were dispatched to quell many discontent officials from becoming problems. If they failed, Hands would quickly follow.

The CWA military was flooded with Sons of Pluto agents, put in key positions to, if necessary, stage their own military coup to prevent any military attempt to seize power. The President had overseen a variety of policies, reforms, and mandates that publicly were credited with the soothing of many of the crisis.

There were fifteen possible replacement candidates. All were currently under investigation by the Sons of Pluto for potential weaknesses. Each Candidate held a variety of beliefs that would make them a strong leader.

I'm not going to go into the details, feel free to make up candidates as you want. No one will know which ones are Sons of Pluto plants. Yeah, if you want your char to look up any more specific information, PM me and I'll let you know what you find out.

Hey, You guys know it's just a shuttle, and most likely it's just the cabin and the cockpit, right?

Tyrazial
06-06-2007, 11:08 PM
well it's a larger shuttle. As described by Aidan, there are tiny bunk rooms above and below the main cabin. And a washroom in the back.

People work out in prison cells, not going to be much smaller then that.

Tyrazial
06-12-2007, 07:21 PM
Yeah basically my last post set it up for our next posts to be waking up to an announcement of our arrival. I thought I added that, but it looks like I turned my work compy off before remembering to properly edit the post. :) I'll do it right and proper now.

And once again, Aya rather bluntly made her point without saying a word. :P

Then Trent did the same.

I will be PMing you with some details about your character. Feel free to be as creative as you want with the identity and background, long as you work within the parameters I give you.

The PMs will be going out tonight when I get home. :)
