I hate when a game is delayed about a month before it comes out. I know all of you people hate it too, but which ones? Bring up memories or think of stuff that you're waiting for today.

For me, Halo 2 is the most torturous thing I've ever experienced in my life. It's coming out in fall now and all the anxious gamers will have to wait ANOTHER six months. I'm sure most of Halo's fans will have commited suicide before the game comes out byecause of the wait.

Um...Half-Life 2 anyone? I've been anxiously awaiting that game's arrival for months now. It seems like it gets delayed every other week. If you can find an accurate release date that you can justify by finding at least two sites carrying the same date, I'll...buy you that mystery file from ebay :D

[Edit] I am also waiting for Halo 2 and have already reserved a copy. I hope it's as good as the book.

Fable. Been delayed until like July, I think. :(

Meh, it gets me angry when they delay games, but I don't complain about it, since the longer it takes, generally the better the product. Of course, whenever I say that, I think of Master of Orion III...

However, the game I'm most looking forward to that keeps getting delayed is most likely Half-Life 2.

I get angry for delays when they reach the 6th month type area. THAT'S a delay. I'm use to Nintendo mind you where a 'launch date' usually means 3-4 months later. Which is also good because its almost always done to fix a bug and even a few times to add material.

But there's pleanty that have gone beyond my patience:

Star Ocean 3 - Japan has had it almost a year and NOW have a second version of it with added features, like the ability to use the characters in the game to fight each other (like a fighter). We better be getting those extra features or I'm gonna be quite mad.

Mario 128 - This was announced before the GC was made...but where is it? I hear its coming out this year....finally.

Tales of Symphonia - Japan has had this game since last June or something. What's holding them down? It better not be some horrible dub.

And my cheif complaint, and the game that best suits the delayed game definition:

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life - Geez! Another that was announced before the GC was even out and its STILL not out yet. Japan got this ne last year....in July. Where's my copy?! They wre going to release it to America in January...but it got pushed forward to March. How many more times must you taunt me Natsume!

For anyone anticipating Fable or Halo 2, just a bit of fair warning... You will be lucky to see either one of them this year. MS has been telling our chain that while they are officially delayed to Q4 2004, it is highly likely that both will be delayed to sometime in 2005.

Well, in the case of Halo 2 the delay is most likely due to Microsoft wanting the title to beef up their Christmas lineup. Since last Christmas was a little weak MS will want as strong a lineup this Christmas as possible. And MS doesn't have a stronger title than Halo 2 in the pipe. Whatever one's opinion on Halo one can't argue with the numbers. Or the massive hype that Halo 2 has behind it.

As a Blizzard fan, I've learned to love delays.

A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever

Except I think he said it, not wrote it. And it was translated after he said it in Japanese. But he did say it.

You know, you people can post memories about delayed games if you want. Games from a while back that you might remember waiting for with absolutely nothing to do until you got it.

I don't really mind delayed games, as unless I'm horribly massively excited about it and preordered it (which happens very rarely) I usually end up buying a game about 3-4 months after it came out.

Megaman Aniversary Collection. It's been bumped down two months since it's initial Febuary release.

i don't follow games release dates really. delays don't effect me. I'd rather have a solid game with only a few bugs, then a rushed product with major problems

That's because it was originally being done by BLizzard internal (the original StarCraft team). But then they started working on WCIII, then World of Warcraft and are now rumored to be going on both a StarCraft 2 and an original game. So they staffed it out to another company. I forgot which one it was, but it was a company that did some older games that are famous (but I can't remember right now).

Anyway, long story short, this other company which was finishing the game at one time said it would be out soon. Then they said the projact got cancelled. Last I heard, they never said the project got picked up again, but GameStop and a bunch of places still have release dates set for it...and of course keep moving them forward all the time.

Yes...I want the game too. However, it seems to be getting passed through so many peoples hands and changed so much...I don't know if its going to retain any bit of quality. And all this waiting and hoping sure is going to kill it when it arrives (as in, review rankings and people having too much time to think what the game 'should' be like).

I've been waiting so long for The Movies, that I kind of forgot about it. That or I got pre-occupied with school. Either of those two. Anyway, I've heard that it's not due until at least summer this year. Seeing as it's a game from P. Molyneux this means we'll be waiting another year...

So now I've set my target on the latest Ace Combat (I think...), because that one is supposed to come out here in Europe end Februari. I hope...

nah, it exists. Gabe and Tycho from Penny Arcade playtested it. I think they now are making it from scratch again.

So wouldn't be easier to make StarCraft 2?
Am i right people? Come on we need SC2!!

Lucerin Red

SC2 is supposably the new "secret" project Blizzard is working on, of course they said the same thing about what the secret project Starcraft Ghost, and Warcraft 3 were. so meh
