Article here (http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/meast/05/25/nobellaureate.iran/index.html?eref=rss_topstories).
Basically, three civil rights activists were arrested in Tehran for being civil rights activists. The lawyer representing one of them is the first muslim woman to win a Nobel Peace Prize. Ugh, Iran's administration is even worse at diplomatic relations than our administration is. "Hey, I know! The best way to make friends is to build nukes and arrest civil libertarians!"

I don't think that Iran really cares about diplomatic relations. Even with the hostage crisis nearly twenty years ago, Iran was trying to prove to the rest of the world that they thought the international system was, let's say, simply "bad". They continually flaunt international law to make the point that they believe they don't need the rest of the world's approval. They also like pointing out that the same system prevents Iran from being severely chastised by the international community as a whole.

Not exactly an endearing policy, but their policy nonetheless.

What's actually hilarious is that's still not nearly as bad at diplomatic relations as our administration.

Hell, under present circumstances, the nuke-building is even completely understandable.

I don't know, at least our president doens't deny that well-documented atrocities happened, or call for another nation to be wiped off the face of the earth.
