Kane began walking towards the bow. He stopped, sighed, and said: "You know, I can't really believe I'm saying this, but do try to not die. Other than that, good luck to all of us..."

[Epiphany]

ooc:this will be my last post for the night... i'm going to bed.

She looked at the two and smiled. "I think we've got the upper hand in this personally. Just keep heading that way. I'm going to be in my quarters, I need some rest before I see him again." she looked at Kane and then looked down at his leg." Actually, i'm thinking myabe it would be better if you just took the bed with Li, the hammick would be hell on your leg." She went off and felll asleep on a hammick.

[Stover]

"Sleep...with Li? I doubt it. Besides...I need to elevate the leg...and some other excuse." He looked through the spyglass and surveyed the dimming horizon. "Hmmm...might be a while."

[Epiphany]

She turned her attention to Kane. ".... what's wrong with Li? I always thought you were more his type anyway." She said laughing.

[Stover]

"...Ha ha, ha ha. You're a funny woman, and in many ways, I might add. But...moving away from that...who exactly is this man we're going after?"

[Tenjin Matsukaru]

Hikiro nodded "hmm yes I was curious as to the answer of that question as well. I do not like going up against someone unless I have at least a rough idea of their potential"

[Epiphany]

"rough idea..." She turned around with an extremely pissed look. "He murdered my parents, raped my sister, and threw me in a cell inside this ship! How rough of an idea is that for you!" She walked back to the sails and started climbing up towards the crows nest, trying her best not to show any emotion.

[Tenjin Matsukaru]

Hikiro nodded slowly slightly suprised by the force at which the answer was delivered "I was just trying to be prepared. I am sorry if I have offended you and I will make sure that your blade delivers the final blow" Hikiro shook his head in disgust at himself "In the meantime is there anything else I can do?"

[Epiphany]

She turned to look at Hikiro. She sighs "Do as you wish, just... don't bother me."

[Tenjin Matsukaru]

Hikiro returned to the end of the bow sprit and kept watch still somewhat disgusted at himself for being such an insensitive clod. His thoughts crossed to his own family, who were probably enjoying themselves immensely on their holiday in the North American provinces. Hikiro was hit with a sudden feeling of dread but dismissed it as paranoia.

[Stover]

"Hmmm....that was a...rough idea..." He paused for a long while. "You know, for the first time in a long time, I am at a loss for words....wait, I found them." He tied the wheel down, crutched over to near Hikiro, and tossed him the spyglass. "Keep watch for me, I think getting her ready for this little task may take a while." He then limped over to the mast Lucretia had climbed. "This...this killing this pirate captain...this has been your goal in life all along, hasn't it?"

[Epiphany]

She looked down towards him and smiled. "I think you're catching on to the game."

[Stover]

"Yes...yeah, I had hoped as much." He paused for a while. "So...after you rip Captain's body to bloody shreds...what will you do then?"

[Epiphany]

She stopped and thought for a moment. she then grabbed a nearby rope and used it to glide down to the main deck. "After i rip him apart?" She smiled "I'm going to do what i've always wanted to do."

[Stover]

"Oh. Really. I'm gonna guess that you don't really want to talk about that. So! I'm going to walk--crutch--back to the helm. Right." And he turned and walked--crutched--back to the helm.

"Hey Hikiro, see anything?"

[Epiphany]

She follows Kane to the helm and gently grabs his arm. "There's a healing hearb on the island, it might help your leg a bit."

[Stover]

"...ok...um...I'll be sure to look into that once we get there...thanks....

"Just out of curiosity, why did you tell me that now?"

[Tenjin Matsukaru]

Hikiro nodded "small group of islands bearing north, northwest. I can see some small establishments on it but I am unable to identify their alliegiance. I'd say they're pirates though."

[Epiphany]

"Because, we're actually getting along." She smirked. "I wasn't really planning on telling you at all." She then looked at Hikiro and put gently grabbed his arm. "So, Hikiro, Dear, how are you?"

[Stover]

"...holy shit..." Kane took a half step towards and the side of Lucretia, "...that can't even be on the horizon...how'd you...spyglass. I gave you that, didn't I...so...how many can you see?"

[Epiphany]

"We must sail far from the island! We'll ancor on the other side. It's uninhabitant there. We'll be safe until we're ready to fight then." She looked at Kane. "Kane, I'm really worried about your leg, I want you off of it. Go down to the captain's quartars and lay in bed. I'll bring you some tea and dinner later."

[Tenjin Matsukaru]

Hikiro looked again "I can see about 6 small huts and large structure. There also appears to be dock for loading and unloading reletivley large ships"

[Stover]

"...I think I'll be fine, I've always mended quickly, and that monk did...something...to it while you were sleeping...I....should...be fine...

"...ok, I'll go." And with a sigh, he began to turn around and head below, but "Hey! Isn't Li still stoned in your bed?"

[Epiphany]

rolls her eyes. "Well, i guess we'll just have to get him out of there, now won't we?" She gently grabbed Kane's arm as they made their way to the captain's quartars.

[Stover]

"We? We who? I only see you. Even more so since Li's already beat the stuffing out of me...what three times? in the past 5 days. Besides, a pallet on the floor with a box to elevate my leg would be a better choice in the first place; we don't need to move him..."

[Epiphany]

She looked at Kane and smiled. "Fine then, looks like i'll be sleeping with him again tonight."

[Stover]

"Ok..wait...what......I....damnit. I just can't win, can I?" In a defeated tone: "Ok, lets move him." I hope I misunderstood that...wait, no I don't...but...Goddamnit...

...I'm in trouble.

[Epiphany]

She smiled knowing that once again she had confused Kane. "OKay then, umm... he's a heavy sleeping, so i'm sure if we just push him off onto the floor he'll be fine." She said with a smirk.

[Stover]

"I've seen you smile like that before...you're gloating that you confused me, aren't you!...I ought...to....*sigh*...you know, I'm begining to realize why I've stayed away from women...

"...wait, just shove him on the floor? A) That's not very friendly, and B) that's a great plan for you because you won't have to deal with his pissed-off ass when he gets up."

[Epiphany]

She smiled again and grabbed Kane's arm. "Aww, did little Kaney Waney get confoosed?" She said talking to him as if he were a baby. "OKay, anyway.... If we just shove him off the bed a bit, i doubt he'll wake up, as i said before, he's a heavy sleeper. And when did you ever give a damn if what I did was friendly or not?"

[Stover]

After 'Kaney Waney', he stuck his hand over her mouth and said angrily "I'd rather you give me a little more respect than that, if you don't mind. Thanks." He took his hand off of her mouth. "Tell you what; if you want me to sleep in this bed so badly, I'll let you get Li out of it. Otherwise, I'll just make that little pallet, and you can make all the vague innuendos you wish." And he began walking away.

[Epiphany]

She grabbed his arm and smirked. "There's no need to get angry, Love." She jumped on the bed and practically pushed Li off. He lended on the floor on a pile of pillows that had fallen off. "There, now laydown and i'll get you something to prop your leg up on."

[Stover]

"...love? What? Where did that come from...but serously, I really think Ill go make a--" He gasped and shifted all of his weight off of his bad leg "--...rather, I think I'll just lay down here." He sat down on the bed. "If someone walked in here and told me that you caused that pain to shoot up my leg, I'd believe them."

[Epiphany]

She smiled and grabbed some pillows from a nearby closet. She then gently propped him leg up on the pillows. She then crawled beside him and layed down, laying her arm on his chest and cuddled up beside him, smiling. "Well, Kane, I hope your comftorable now." She looked up at him waiting for a reply and reaction.

[Stover]

"...you are easily the most manipulative person I've ever known. Heard of, even." He put his arms around her, and pulled her close. "The hell of it is, I know full well what it is you're doing to me, and I can't do anything about it. And what's even more disturbing is that part of me actually enjoys it. The laying in bed with you, not the manipulation, that is."

"And now, to answer your question--look at this, answering someone else's questions. Surely an example you could follow--yes, I am comfortable."

I bet me ten coins I know what's comig next...

"You're a very interesting man, Kane. I wander what would happen if Li were to wake up though?" She smirked and grabbed the covers, pulling them over her. "It's getting colder in here. That's a bit unusual."

"...its not very cold in here..." Kane took Lucretia's hand "Wow, but you are....are you alright?" He puts both arms around Lucretia and pulled her close.

Abruptly, he began to laugh. "You know...wow...if you had told me...what...6 days ago?, that I'd be stranded in Japan from the vessel I was gaurding, walk into a bar owned by the woman who carved the begining of her alias name into my back, help said woman steal a ship, then defend said ship from pirates, then begin to hunt down her old enemy, then sleep with her...I would have told you to put down the pipe. Funny world, I suppose."

[Epiphany]

She closed her eyes for a moment and then opened them again. "that's not my alias name, that's my last name. My father always told me to be strong and to make sure to leave my mark in the name of the family. And, well, i did.... i just interpretted what he said differently." She looked up at him again. "If I die on the island, will you do me a favor. I want to be put in a little boat or raft, wrapped in the silk blankets in the closet, with flowers from the island surrounding me." She then looked into his eyes. "I want to be burried at sea, like my grandfather, and his father before him, and his father before him. Promise me you will do this."

[Stover]

"Lucretia...*sigh* I can't believe I'm saying this...again, but the only way someone is going to kill you, Lucretia, is through me." He looked at his leg and chuckled. "Granted, its not like that's a lot, but still..." He smiled at her. "But yes...if you...die and I don't...yes, I will do that for you." He grabbed both of her hands, "...I promise."

"But now, I, personnally, am on to more cheery things. Like sleep. Goodnight." He smiled at her, and closed his eyes.

Li woke up rather groggily and stumbled around the room. He went for the door then promptly fell over.

Looking up from the floor he noticed the two in bed together and his internal little computer went off again.

"What in the the thirteen ties on moradins beard are you two playing at!!!!!" He said, flipping up from the floor.

Kane woke up with a start, hand-crossbow in apearing in his hand. "I'll...oh, hello. You need to work on getting shitfaced, because...damn." He put the crossbow away. "And what am I doing? Well...I was sleeping with...yeah. I was sleeping. You wouldn't mind too teribbly if I got back to it? She's the one who shoved you out of bed, by the way. So..you know...blame her."

[Epiphany]

"Shut-up Kane." She said openeing her eyes. She sat up and strectched a bit and then looked at Li. "You weren't going to wake up. You started to bore me." She said sarcastically with a smile on her face. She then turned back to Kane. "Anyways, he's much more fun." She laughed a bit waiting for their reactions.

[Rhuhael]

He went back to trying to reason this out to a conclusion he liked.

"So you took him for the same ride you took me on eh luv?" He said, catching onto the game.

"Shut up Li before I leave my family's name on you too." She glared at him and then layed back down. "Men are so difficult."

Now completely befuddled Li was mentally staggering about.

She pulls the covers from her and starts to get out of the bed and walks over to Li. "What's wrong, Love. Are you just a bit confused?" She then walked to the closet and grabbed the silk blankts. She then threw them to Kane.

"erm... well.... what I mean to say is... well quite frankly luv I'm as confused as a fish that suddenly found out that it's been flying not swimming all these years. Ya savvy?" He said to Lucretia

She pushed Li up against the wall and smiled. "Jealous much?"

Kane, still in bed, pushed the blankets off of his face Lucretia had thrown there. "Do I want these?" He got out of bed. "Wow, four hours really does a leg good. Feels like it was only partially kicked in by a pirate. And now, I'll...leave you two lovers to your lovers quarels, and go contemplate the meaning of life. ...or something. Right." He grabbed his sword, and using it as a cane again, said: "You know, this sword as a cane thing really does look classy. Might have...to keep doing it. Right." And he walked out of the room.

...so...do I care about Lucretia?
...yes. Kane wondered.
Does she care about me?
...I hope so.

Hikiro had been keeping watch and trying to not become involved with the whole group politics thing that seemed clearly evident. He got up and wandered down stairs "Captain, we are getting rather close. If we don't alter our course in the next 62 seconds we will be spotted for sure."

OOC: sorry everyone, I took a self imposed break from the internet, allthough it looks like I only missed some Orange COunty style courting...oh well. Lets jsut say that the Monk has been recuperating from battle by either meditating or watching you silently. After this I am going to bed, I don't know when I will be back tomorow, so please be aptient with me.

"What do you guys supose we do? I'm as bored as hell. And we have to wait until we reach the other side of th island. So... now what?"

"I can think of a few things we could do to pass the time luv." He said pulling her in closer.
"If you catch my drift." He flashed a rougueish wink at her.

[Epiphany]

She glared at him, but then smiled. "Oh, i have an idea what we could do." She pulled herself even closer to him.

He slid his one hand down her back and moved them a bit towards the bed.
"I believe we're on the exact same page luv." He said and kissed her lightly, looking deeply into her eyes.

[Epiphany]

"I think you're in an entire different book, Love." She kneed him in the groin and then smiled as she watched him drop to the floor in pain.

[Rhuhael]

As Li dropped to the deck in agony his little computer wildly began computing data.

"Holy mother, by the damned shell from which the continents hatched!!!!!! Why I'll..." He continued to spout off various oaths & curses as he rolled around on the floor gasping in pain.

Finally after about five minutes of this he stopped and gasped. "Not...very...nice...luv."

[Epiphany]

She smiled and winked at him. "Oh? And you were expecting something else?" She said sarcastically, laughing at the poor man.

Li got to his feet after about ten more minutes

... Just shut up and stop taking 'hints' from the captain for a little while

With this plan of action now worked out he staggered onto the deck.

ic: She holds out her hand to help Li up. "Well, is there anything else you'd like to do?"

"Wouldn't our destination, a dread pirates home port, be difficult to get into?
If this pirate were smart he would find a island that had only one suitable port for any ship thats a sloop or larger and but his base there? We can't just lay our anchor in their port....their cannons will rip us to pieces. Even if they don't have any, I noticed one of the pirates here ahd a chi system grafted onto his own that was more powerful than a cannon........Wisdom dictates he would have more than one of those.
Anouther thing is that his actions of leaving the ship before the fight confule me, why would he be so sure that his crew would be powerless to stop you from searching the ship high and low for him. Its as if he knew we were going to overrun the ship, otherwise he wouldn't have fled so early. And why then would he send this whole cre of 40 plus men to their deaths...? It doesn't add up.
I have meditated on this and I think I have an answer. He must have some kind of seer, who can tell him what battles he will lose and what he will win. We did win after all, maybe he knew that, its the only solution I can think of.
But why would he throw his men away? Well that I know the answer to. I discerned our location and I found we are jsut south of an island that is not unknown to my order. 300 years ago a monk in our order battled a powerful chi sourcerer and robbed him of his scrolls, which he hid on this island. The island in our records and the island you see in the distance, that our fiend has run home to must be one and the same. That explains the chi spells these men posses, and how many of them have powerful chi systems grafted onto their natural ones. Our records suggest this would be so, but they also suggested that the most powerful aspect of these chi systems is that they could hold ones spirit inside of it, where no physical wound could harm it.
Friends i am afraid the pirate would easily give up his crew up because we never we abke to kill them. I do not know when their spirits will reinhabit their bodies, but I thik we have some time. I suggest we throw al lthe bodies overboard, weighted by whatevber we can spare. Allthough he probably has a base guard likewise enchanted.

OOC: Sorry I've been out of the loop so long guys, it's mid-winter break and I've been in California for the past few days. I just caught up, and Jesus, you guys practically left me adrift on some wreckage. =P

IC: Kyoji yawned loudly and stretched as he woke up grogily. He stood up slowly and stretched some more. The first thing he noticed was that his chest wasn't killing him anymore. The monk must have done something before he passed out. How long had he been asleep? He looked around and noticed that he wasn't on his ship anymore.

[Stover]

(Oh yeah, we switched ships, didn't we? Heh.)

"...so they'll get back up in time unless we throw them overboard? Why don't we carve a cross in their forehead? Worked last t--I've heard that that kind of thing works against people who don't want to die."

"Why a cross?"

[Stover]

"Its a holy symbol of a religion called Christianity. Granted, the enemies I was uh...talking about were raised corpses attacking an ancient church near Antioch, so I suppose a cross may have had...more signifigance there, but I dunno, its an idea all the same."

Hikiro shook his head "if worst comes to the worst we can hack off their limbs and render them usless combat wise." He wandered over to the bow and gazed out "whatever we're killing, It has got some real competition"

"...wait...what has competition?"

[Epiphany]

"The enemy you Dumbass." She walked towards Kane and grabbed his arm. Then whispered in his ear, "Sorry, it was between Dumbass and Love, and well, the men are standing right there." She laughed a bit and then looked around.

[Rhuhael]

Li was still limping out onto the deck. Lucretia had blown past him and he was hobbling his way up to the deck and once again he had fallen over. He had barely made it halfway across the deck to the prow, where they currently were.
"Hey ... wait up luv's."

[Epiphany]

"Oh, Li, i almost forgot about you." She walked over to Li and tried to help him walk. "What's wrong with you? I didn't knee you that hard, did I?"

[Rhuhael]

He almost jumped sideways trying to avoid Lucretia. He would have if he had've been capable but instead he kind of half-skipped and fell down. He relaxed a little bit after hearing what she said.
"Well I do believe that I won't be sitting normally for about a week but besides that I should be fine in oh... another hour or so." He attempted to maintain a smile but it came out as more of a jovial grimace

[Epiphany]

She tried her hardest not to laugh at the poor man. "well, it's good to know i can take you down with one swift kick."

"Hey, Captain! What the hell am I doing a few hundred miles away from my ship?! Not to mention about a quarter of a planet away from my home?" Kyoji asked angrily. He glared down at Lucretia from the guard rail over the captain's quarters. He looked up and saw the ships on the horizon, and decided that he didn't want another little adventure like the other day's. He moved behind the helm and turned hard to port. So hard, in fact, that everyone who wasn't bracing against something was knocked off balance, if not off their feet.

Hikiro using his near perfect balance leaned into the turn and maintained his footing despite being at least two feet from any guardrails or the mast for that matter.

With his training, the monk would have no trouble keeping balance. he puts a hand on Kyogi's shoulder.
"Sir, it was not regretful that we brought you ahead while leaving you ship behind, for you could not pilot her alone and we left her anchored in place. I am sure that there is plenty of wrogly aquired loot at our destination which will allow you to afford many ships, so it may be in your best interests to come with. Unless you think we are all being dragged on a wild swan chase/ lets have a vote, I say we confront this man."

(Its snowing! School's out for me! Hooray!)

Kane simply leaned with the movement of the ship. He had been in several pitched naval battles, so he knew how to do it. "Hey, Kyoji, next time you make a radical steering adjustment, make sure you do it away from a pirate island. Cause...you know...you likely just put our sail above horizon for the pirates. Excellent job."

OOC: yeah its hailing and raining like crazy here in SF, we are in the middle of a seastorm.

[Epiphany]

Lucretia ran up to the helm, trying to keep her balance and grabbed it. "Hands off my damn ship! The next time you touch this helm, Kyoji is on my command, or else." She had a pissed tone in her voice. Pushing him away she gains a better grip on the helm and glares at him.

"I'm sorry, I'm just a little sore because I was about 10 feet away from retiring from this business until I met you," Kyoji snapped, sounding angrier than he meant to.
"And I don't want another ship," he continued, "I just want to go home. I'm sick and tired of the ocean. But if it'll help get us back there faster, I will help you defeat the man that you seek."
He walked down the stairs and leaned against the mast again. He sighed heavily and his shoulders slumped. He looked over the bow and watched the island as they approached it slowly.

Hikiro's mind was already processing many thousand possibilities on what could happen upon their arrival. His face had a determined look about it. It was plainly obvious that Hikiro was in an unshakably serious frame of mind.

ooc: Odyssey of the Mind. There's a competition coming up soon. Given a set of criterion you develop a skit and present it before a board of judges. I used to do it myself but then came on high school and martial arts and I kinda stopped.
