I'm sure any GMs on the board have made at least a couple of their own monsters. Post about them here.
I'm currently working out my own dragon for my epic D&D players to fight. The mighty wraith dragon. He's gonna be baddass; a dragon who so feared death that his soul lingered on. The glory and pride of a dragon have been replaced by a profound horror, and hatred. They tend to be bound to the hordes they possessed in life, and guard them even more jealously than a living dragon, even if only a few coins remain. In fact, many are driven to destroy every living thing for miles around their lair, perceiving it all as a threat. There is no reasoning with a wraith dragon, though they retain their old intelligence. Their fear aura is greatly amplified, and may even cause insanity. It is only the eldest of dragons that is so powerful it may cling to life hard enough to become a wraith dragon, so they possess great stores of power.
