Right, so discussion goes here instead of in the Omake...

Anyway... I figure only one of these plans is going to work, and it's going to depend on which plan goes off first. For instance... one way that Deamon may be banished is by closing the gate into the netherworld... but the hero party has not looked into that at all, and have been instead leaning toward technology and/or finding a better way... seeming as the gate thing was opened once already.

And, just because you can do something one way, doesn't mean you can't do it another way as well. For instance, I want to dig a hole. Now, I can use a spade, a shovel, a bull dozer, or a combination of any of those. I want to kill someone... I can use a gun, a sword, a knife, my bare hands, piano wire, etc. The same would go for defeating a demon, I would think... Ecurt may have ok'd multiple plans, because all of them sound like they would work... now it just depends on which one is carried out.

Dezils invention would have to be the size of a small town to have the power to do whatever it is supposed to do to Deamon. And Deamon has spies everywhere, so he probably would not get to make it...

And your first plan wouldn't work.

Maybe not, you don't know what the plan is once again, you just want to counter anything that could beat you. It is easy to do in secret in a place you cannot easily access, and it doesn't have to be massive and huge to work, it can be reasonably sized and still work.

I am going to lose, I already know that. I am the villian in an RP of mainly good guys. I just don't want my loss to be by something you can carry around.

And I'm guessing there are probably flaws in your invention you don't realize anyway...,

I agree with IHMN here... if he dies, it should have some emaning to it. Not getting ganked from 3 miles away and the heroes chibi-dancing around Deamon's dead corpse.

Aww... but I like the chibi-dance... and I don't think anyone wants something that's going to blast him out of nowhere without putting anyone at risk. All the current plans have to do with getting into a position where we can use things to their fullest... which would involve some actual fighting of Deamon and his hordes.

I hate player vs. player fights. In my experience, RPs with player characters as villains (other than the GM/DM/SM/whatever the fudge you wanna call him/her) always end up with a battle near the end or in the middle that just turns into a totally disastrous affair with people at each other's throats because the villain's being a prick about selling shots. Don't you dare deny it, either, 'cause I even did it once or twice, but I ended up selling everything out in the interests of the thread. And IHMN, don't say you're not godmoding in this fashion, 'cause you certainly are. You're rejecting arguments so casually offhand for no other reason than you don't like that suggestion...so you just say, "Nope. Sorry."

I don't mean any offense or disrespect or to cause yet another argument (UUUUGH e_e), I'm just saying that this is gonna turn into a catastrophe by the time we get to the final boss (Dante or Daemon, it doesn't matter) simply because PC villains tend to be pricks about letting themselves take hits and die. I know personally, 'cause I've done this myself.

Just be careful, y'hear? This is a very sensitive subject.

True, true. There is no cheap way to win this battle, it'll have to be tough. Besides, something small enough to carry around you'd probably have to place on Deamon, and that would definately mean having to go through demons (I believe there'd be ten thousand of them, I can't remember exactly), not killing Deamon, and then planting it firmly on him before getting pulverized. Then you'd have to activate it.

I like the idea of multiple plans because, well, I'm guessing that they will probably want a back up plan. Nothing ever goes exactly as hoped for. If people disappear, we can change things. You know, like how Elyse, Luce, and Carolina have all disappeared.

Anyway...anyone know exactly where the characters are? I am not sure myself, so if you do, tell me (here or PM), or you can start the chapter up yourself.

Yes, I am reacting to the plans with "Nope Sorry". I have already admited defeat, but it's not going to be a pathetic one. Edit - If you can just build some machine that can get past every type of way Deamon can escape from where ever, something extremely bad better happen to the good guys.

And maybe if Ecurt would just make up his own way instead of letting the players choose (Which is causing this), then no one can argue (Complain yes, argue no)

Edit - kyrlo is in charge now, ask him. I have no idea at all really.

Edit 2 - Or, you can all do your plans, but if I find a plot hole in it, then it shall not work. And Deamon can do many things.

I figured it was dead, and we made it so far too.

And that's not so bad Mr. V. Most RPs die before the end. I've been RPing for probably upwards of a year now, and I've only seen one RP I've joined, out of over a dozen, make it to completion, and that was Perditions Tale a few months back which almost died once or twice I believe, and spawned multiple epic multi-page long arguments (I think one was almost 10 pages long...) between IHMN and Jad, both in and out of character...

Making it to chapter ten was okay enough for me, since I haven't done RPs before. At least I have learned lessons.

Anyone feel like showing what ideas they had? I wanted to plan on introducing the Chocobo-Knight (Sort of like the Dragoon, but much faster and stronger, no weapon but some magic). I might do that again if I try this again, only not making the same mistakes as this time.

Ergo, future successful RPs must be started by Ren/batgirl/Celes, involve everyone... especially IHMN and JADGuy, because these two will invariably attempt to kill each other over differences in the color of their character's hair (and in the case of IHMN, death is only the beginning). More importantly, Dante must NOT join these RPs, lest he spam 10k posts and make everyone's computers explode.

Well, I *did* want to introduce power-armored Bangaa troopers (who'd probably be able to take demon skirmishers, then get totally pwned by demon flyers), I wanted to showcase Viera summoners/assassins/whatevers at work and there is of course, the huge battle between Dante and Deamon, which I guess I'll never get to finish. Ah well.

I had an idea that would show some wicked geomancy for Blyr, in case we had one of the huge armies charging the heroes' group. I had it all drempt up, the idea written clearly in my mind, ready to type it up...but then we took the secret underground passage, screwing over my chance. Oh, well, I think some people would argue/flame me to hell and back if I did that, besides getting Blyr toasted...

Well, my overall plan was this...

Heros escape the city and go to the Precursor City. They fight evil precursor weapon, which was going to be this black, living, shapeshifting goo, and after they beat it with a Precursor weapon, they explore. Because of stuff that was happening, Dezil was going to find an Ultima Magicite and an X-Zone Magicite. He would also find a weird precursor device he can't make work, but want to tinker on (Huge room filling machine, not something he can pick up.) After fixing the machine, it works once and when Dezil tests it out, it superpowers him up. However, it still wouldn't be much against the Villians, and Dezil can't tap the Magicites without help from more advanced technology, so they visit the dwarves. They eventually convince them to help, and the dwarves help them build a Ultima Cannon, and an X-Zone Bomb with their advanced technology that could tap the Magicite. In the final battle, the cannon would work once to clear a swath of the battlefield, then explode due to unknown fractures in the crystal. The X-Zone Bomb would have been wither used on Dante (To banish Etrigan (Wrong name?) forever), or it would be used on Deamon (Because he's powerful and unrepentantly evil, plus they wouldn't want him coming back through the Demon Gate after the killed him...). The other idea krylo came up with was they use the X-Zone Bomb to remove the Demon Gate, so that as they kill demons, they are either trapped in hell with no escape, or are transported to the X-Zone (Not sure which it would do).

Zeph, I know how to get Naras in on something. Have him approach Blyr's Magitek, and I think we could get a discussion (or sumthin') going. What do you think?

If you want Naras to get involved in the story, talk to the others. I suppose he could talk about how the world ahs changed, the demon horde's effects ont he world and stuff.

The others could also use you as a listening point to talk about their hopes and fears (always good character development stuff) too...

If it weren't already dead, I'd tell you that I actually like being the guy/gal least recognized. :-P That way, I don't hang up the RP if I disappear.

ANYway... ( :p ) the only serious RP I know of and that I'm in that's looking like it might just stay alive after all's my own Matrix RP on another forum. I thought it'd die after a while, but even with nothing to do and no plot it's still alive...it's wierd. O.o;

I figured your plan involved X-Zone... And I was right when I said it would not work. Deamon makes portals to summon demons (Not big ones). He just makes a portal, goes through it, and he's out of the X-Zone.

And I really doubt you can X-Zone a large, magically protected/generated building...


The way I saw Deamon losing is first humans would need to do suicide attacks on the gate to distract attention from the dozens of priest/clerics who are casting many seal spells to mix into one big seal spell to close the gate, and then after that is done another super seal would be needed just for Deamon.
