If you've been living under a rock, Paris Hilton is going to jail for breaking her probation, twice. It's only for 45 days which kind of ticks me off, Paris feels she's not being treated fairly, that she's been singled out. She was charged with DUI and she broke her probation and gets 45 days in jail, your average joe would get more than 45 days and they would aslo probably lose there licence, Paris gets to keep hers. I want to know what you think about Paris going to jail for breaking her probation, cause I have absolutly nothing better to do

Threads merged. And guys, Paris Hilton threads really do not belong in Discussion.

EDIT: Did I lock this? I didn't mean to lock it.

I guess I'll unlock it.

That link leads to an article about stem cells.

Seriously, first they give her special treatment, then they let her out? There is no justice! None, I say!

I'm confused, what does stem cells have to do with Paris Hilton? What system are you talking about? Why do I always speak in questions?!

Akamaz didn't link the specific story but rather the LA Times main headline page, which changes fairly often.

For all you crybabies crying about Hilton's release: she's going right back there due to a court ruling today. So there, everyone's happy again.

Edit: It's only for 23 days really. Big whoop.

I find it hysterical that Paris is screaming and crying over a twenty-three day sentence.

I mean we're not really talking about a huge disruption to her life of luxury, here.

actually, it's not being a "Crybaby" it's the fact that the sherrif's office went against the judges decision that she not be granted alternative punishments, such as house arrest. in one of the articles i have read about this situation the sherrif may be held in contempt of court.

She probably bribed the sheriff out of his mind. I mean, who could actually want to help Paris without some special catch?

As long as she's getting put back for the full sentance, I'd be happy.

How in the hell would house arrest be a punishment for a rich person?

Or... Most people for that matter. I would enjoy house arrest.
"Go to the bank for me! Go get a job!"
"Mom, I'm under house arrest *goes back to playing video games"

The fact that she is crying makes me laugh at her. If thats wrong then I don;t want to be right.

From what I hear there's more to house arrest than just "yo, stay inside." I've read a report from someone under house arrest who said he wasn't allowed to keep alcohol in the house, for one. I imagine this alone makes throwing any parties very difficult indeed. Of course it all depends on where you live.

So she's going back to jail... (http://www.cnn.com/2007/SHOWBIZ/TV/06/08/paris.hilton.ap/index.html) And from what I read from this article, she still could get out earlier, assuming she keeps up good behavior (end of the article (http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/173429.aspx)).

Honestly, I feel that the Sheriff did exceed his authority here, as it seems like the unspecified medical condition wasn't much more than an excuse, as I've heard everything from heart medication to a mental breakdown. And I can't see why heart medication would remain undisclosed, and a mental breakdown is to be expected from jail.

Yes, usually a sheriff is given some leeway in keeping in-mates in, but to so obviously dismiss a sentence goes beyond justification. Had Paris served up to 20 days, that I could understand, but he tried to let her go after a mere five days. And it does prompt the question as to the why. I mean, the sheriff could have just felt sorry for Hilton, but then again bribery could have also have happened.

Personally I'm applauding the judge for his speedy, "Oh no you don't" intervention on the matter. He gave a real sentence and he intends to see it carried out. Nice.

Maybe paris wasn't the "queen bitch" in jail and kept getting picked on by the "real bitches", aka Women who can take a punishment.

Maybe said women were handing out punishments?

...Nah. I mean, let's be serious. It would be too dangerous to put Paris in the general population.

Apparently The sherrif's office, or some department over there was flooded with overwhelmingly negative messages, along the lines of "Put her back in!"

Fame for only being famous doesn't save you in the end.

Ding Dong the wench is gone, which ol wench, that skanky wench.

I am so glad that the Judge overturned the decision though. And my collegue said that she is now in for 45 days, is that true.

Hey, Zsa Zsa Gabor was famous for being famous. Nobody would've sent Zsa Zsa to the can.

Being famous for being universally reviled, that's a whole other kind of thing.

Has anyone seen that Merlin miniseries? Specifically the part where Maab (?) fades into nothingness when everyone stops beliving in her?

Think that'd work on Paris?

Certainly not...

...Well, at least not for any more than three days. Also, of note:

Zsa Zsa is the only Gábor sister to bear a child. According to Zsa Zsa's book, One Lifetime Is Not Enough, Conrad Hilton raped her, causing the pregnancy. Their only child (born after their divorce), is Francesca Hilton (Gabor) born 10 March 1947. In 2005, Zsa Zsa accused her daughter, Francesca, of larceny and fraud, and filed a lawsuit against her in a California court.

Can we just get rid of that whole family? Please?

I'm so sick of Paris that I've actually already been hospitalized for an "unspecified medical condition" due to all of this crap. Since when were celebrities exempt from law?

..you know, it's the perfect plan for world domination, or at least national domination. Just become a celebrity, kill the President, say your sorry, maybe give a blowjob here or there, and bam! Free get out of jail card!

...Seriously, would something like this fly in some other country? Or is this an "Only in America" moment?

Paris who?

*The stupidity of the whole situation makes my brain want to self-destruct, hence I choose to ignore it. After all the only reason she is famous is because we actually care about what she does.*

I believe its worse, they don't let you out, they outright ignore what they do.

In China she'd probably be executed. Doesn't take much to get executed in China.

On a side note, I hate hearing about celebrities and law, because they obviously get special treatment. If it were you or I (non-minors) that were in trouble for driving with a suspended license, TWICE, we would get a heck of a lot more than 45 days.

Hey, now that's being a little too judgemental. We want her to be punished for not using her natural female affinity-related skills.

In layman's terms, she ain't baking enough pies.

That's no good.
