As the NPFers race to defend the Kurosen, the remaining fighters take their positions to begin Round Two...

Incidentally, I've got a Sketch of Arhiyara (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/57406207/) up on Deviant art. It's roughly of how she's supposed to look: dangerously crazy.

Heheheheh. That's so cool, Rhiya! Ahrha and Rhiya melded into one... That has to be the kickassingest dragon evah. XD

Also--- Wow. My main rival for attention is an NPC. That is so sad.

Well, half of the remaining competitors have posted and I was going to wait for the other half, but then I sorta realized that two of those are controlled by GMs. I dunno what the respective situations with Krylo and KP are, but I have rattled off a PM to them both and, if need be, will make arrangements to have them shot deal with the issue accordingly.

That said, I'll post tomorrow. I'm sleepy.

Also of note: Because my Aunt Gina apparently cried at work over it, I'm going to a family reunion dealie this weekend and will thus be unavailable. You may direct all your horrendously godmoddy ideas at PF (who will work out arrangements and hopefully keep the plot chugging along if need be) or perhaps Mesden (who will laugh at you, then tell me about it when I get back so we can both laugh at you some more).

So just assume Mauve is headed after the Kurosen Rescue Squad.

Clearly, I was not clear enough when I said that the group at the Kurosen tower should not damage it. ((POS told me to brief you, so naturally, it's my fault.))

This means that you should avoid blowing gaping holes in the tower for little reason beyond trying to get inside. Please enter through the pre-designated gaping hole. Thank you.

The Artist Formerly Known as Hawk
06-16-2007, 07:26 AM
Not your fault at all PF, Hawk just didn't hear the breifing, he was circling the tower at the time. And really, he doesn't care about the extreme dollar value anyway.

Melfice
06-16-2007, 12:55 PM
Does Hawk care about a possible city blackout then?

The Artist Formerly Known as Hawk
06-16-2007, 03:21 PM
Again, he didn't hear about that, but so long as it doesn't affect him I would guess not.

PyrosNine
06-16-2007, 04:18 PM
It won't really bother the city as well, as it's well known that 98% of all power goes straight to POS Industries and PhoenixCorp, 1% goes to the Mod's govermental offices, and the remaining 1% goes to a few houses on main street.

The rest are all done by a few underground nuklear power stations, and even one hydroelectric dam a few miles northwest of the city's outskirts.

The real danger of course, is that their little pet products in their evil laboratories might lose power, ruining years of work, letting horrendous monsters free, and also granting poor, tortured souls a breath of fresh air for the first time in years. And they just CAN'T have that.

Secondly, I'm pretty sure whatever technology that's created these alternate space/time bubbles is hooked straight up to the Kurosen, so if the power were to be shut of, the bubbles we are in might collapse and reduce us to singularities. As well as taking out a large chunk of the planet.

Damn you Powermad science people, and your feats of grandeur!

The Artist Formerly Known as Hawk
06-16-2007, 04:26 PM
See, even more reason for me to go and fuck the place up royally, POS is manipulating time and Hawk, as a preserver of the Temporal Law HAS to shut down this power. Cant have people developing time travel 130,000 years early now can I?

Maybe this is why Hawk came here in the first place, besides the secondary intentions of aquiring vast sums of money...

Fenris
06-16-2007, 07:00 PM
Please note that the members, least of all me, do not care about preserving the temporal balance, and that the members will have no trouble beating you senseless if you threaten the Kurosen.

I'd say that time would much rather have you alive than not.

Well... Keyman is, kinda... and my NEXT character, after I finally kill off TEN, will be.

But... TEN is one of the most self-centered, opportunistic, backstabbing, people you will ever meet.

Which is part of why I wanted to be the next person to run one of these things. I goofed when I made TEN. It's hard to avoid godmodding with this character, and he really has no reason to be interested in helping out the other forumites with saving the world.

So... I'ma gonna kill him off, and I really think the best way to do that is to tell a bunch of forumites that he's a badguy.

PyrosNine
06-17-2007, 12:37 PM
So... I'ma gonna kill him off, and I really think the best way to do that is to tell a bunch of forumites that he's a badguy.

Nah, the best way is to have one of the other personalities just go up to Krylo, Mesden, Flare, or myself and say "Hey, kill him."

Even if you don't say his name, after some amount of killing, we'll eventually get it right and f**k him up.

Although, probably we'll "miss" and kill a few other personalities as well, but you get the drift.

NPF Forums. We take the "roving band of murderers" rpg rule to a whole new level!

Bailey
06-17-2007, 04:30 PM
Well, you kill TEN, and all of his spinoffs get killed too, so no big loss there if you kill the spinoffs first.

Actually... it might help a little if you do. >.>

But... yeah. It would be nice if we can get a clear picture of who's going next now so I know whether to just give up and kill him off in somebody else's RP or keep waiting for the one that I'm running.

By the by, on Wednesday, I'm heading out to Montana and then I'm driving to New York.

Until I get back, Keyman is following Phoenix's orders.

POS Industries

See, even more reason for me to go and fuck the place up royally, POS is manipulating time and Hawk, as a preserver of the Temporal Law HAS to shut down this power. Cant have people developing time travel 130,000 years early now can I?

Well, it's not so much a manipulation of time as much as it is a manipulation of reality. The battle environments are more or less an incredibly advanced bit of smoke and mirrors, to the point where the fighters my very well die from smoke inhalation and/or large mirrored glass shards.

The real danger of course, is that their little pet products in their evil laboratories might lose power, ruining years of work, letting horrendous monsters free, and also granting poor, tortured souls a breath of fresh air for the first time in years. And they just CAN'T have that.

Normally I'd wouldn't take the time to either confirm or deny that, but funny story: Back at the beginning when there was a ton of people signed up for this and would have to divide everyone up into about 3 or 4 separate groups, I was originally kicking around the idea of having one of the horrible science experiments in the basement laboratories revealed as, essentially, Dj_StarChild wearing a slave crown. I was then going to have him and CT battling each other in a sealed off chamber with a sound dampening field in place.

Something about the two of them battling to the death in complete silence just made me giggle.

Anyway, I'm back from vacationizing. I'm rather exhausted from the drive home at the moment, so I'll try to get my next post taken care of tomorrow before work.

Also, has anyone seen Krylo? I'm starting to worry.

Okay, seeing as everybody seems to be hesitant to say they got a buff,

Mauve - You got hit by Decibel. For the next few battles or so you will be speaking louder than normal. Your magic will also be stronger during this time.

Ecurt - You got hit by Sprint. Sitting still will be very hard for you and you can run REALLY REALLY fast right now, to get out of the way of incoming badness.

Nikose Tyris - Decibel. Same deal as Mauve.

Flarecobra - Option. You are afflicted with a compulsive need to flex your muscles and otherwise show off how strong you are. You are stronger than normal during this time, and can withstand more hits, too.

Ugainius - Option

K36 (grthwllms) - Option

FenrisWolf - Sprint

Demetrius - Sprint

Melfice - Option

Wizzle (Wizardcat) - Decibel

Incendius - Fuck you. You get no buff. Damn untargettable entities.

Armored Bishoujo - Decibel. It woulda been Sprint, but we got enough of those already and more magic makes your cosplay thingy stronger.

Raiden - Yeah, you're not allowed in the building. No buff.

Black (Red Mage Black) - Decibel

Arhra - Off having Siamese twin sex with Rhiya. Get your own damn buff.

TheBlindMime - While the idea of casting Decibel on a mime amuses me, you get Sprint.

Hawk - Get the hell back here and I'll see about giving you a buff.

There. I wanna see "I don't know my own strength" hi-jinx, dammit!

PyrosNine
06-19-2007, 11:49 AM
Since some of you might be too lazy to check out the Evil's Return rp discussion, here's an explanation as to why I posted as Ecurt.

I won't be able to play my character for a while. So, in the mean time, I'll give control of him to Mauve, Pyros, and TB. Mauve because she's the twin, Pyros because he'd do it anyway, and TB because he's the GM.

If it's easier to have him killed, so be it.

Oh-and this goes for the Avatar RP as well.

And dammit, I would do it anyway. He knows me too well.

POS Industries
06-19-2007, 12:48 PM
Hey Newb, while I realize that your zany buff gag got lost in the shuffle for the most part, I don't appreciate you coming in and flat-out telling people what sort of effect they should have on themselves and the behavior they should be displaying as a result. That's not at all your job.

I recall Rhiya in Avvy 3 doing something of a similar bit with her chaos explosion dealie. In her case, she contacted people via PM and IM to discuss whether or not they wanted to have these status changes, rather than force it on them.

The long and the short of it, however, is that you really need to be careful as far as pushing these limits in the future, and I mean that in every official sense.

Melfice
06-19-2007, 01:37 PM
If you can take more hits while under the effect of Option, I'm going to assume your body is at the pique of human limits. Or even beyond now?

As such, I'll have Melfice's would heal while he's watching it, and then enter the fray next to Indori.

If not... well, somebody threw me a heal spell at random. =P

Do my musician summoning abilities work inside the tower? Just wondering because of the energy dampeners and all.

POS Industries
06-20-2007, 02:56 PM
It's the power of music, and it seems to be heavily magic-based. You're fine. The energy dampening field is more for any sort of electrical based discharge. Lightning-based spells might be problematic, but fire, ice, healing, etc. should work fine. Energy weapons will have trouble as well, which is why Rei's having issues.

I'll post in a bit. Not much I really have to do.

Question.
Anti matter bullets? Would they go through Indori's armour/shield form?

Not that it'd help much, seeing as the normal rifles of the RoboTroopers chipped off bits and pieces of the shield. Gatling guns would be impossible to block, but still.
Inquiring minds need to know.

POS Industries
06-22-2007, 12:11 AM
Well, if Indori is made of matter, the rules for a standard matter-antimatter collision would be in effect, insofar as the molecules in both bullet and surface fly apart at the subatomic level in a massive release of kinetic energy that goes boom (though, with these smaller bullets, it wouldn't be that big a boom).

At least that's more or less what I'm assuming. This is one of PF's designs, actually. I would say that the antimatter containment within the cartridges would result in a fairly small amount of antimatter being used, so it's more like an additional bit of damage on top of already getting shot. If there was any more antimatter involved in each shot, my understanding is that there wouldn't be enough of a containment energy buffer to keep the antimatter inside from reacting with the matter in the guns themselves and just destroying the whole thing from within, after all.

Incidentally, would someone please pull Nik back to safety? I know he's got uber-regeneration powers, but these weapons were designed to annihilate gods with similar powers. The poor boy probably won't last too much longer.

Melfice

Nikose Tyris
06-22-2007, 07:49 AM
I figure it's fair that as long as I scream I'll be okay- Even with the cellular damage, the cells heal as well, and with the amplification of the healing powers from the amulet, I figure that I'll heal the damage at just that much more of a ridiculous rate- but if it's preferable, I could raise a shadow barrier to start stopping the bullets.

Hopefully this new tactic will remove the threat of Arhiya, as everyone knows that the heroine's friends all die valiantly in self sacrifice right before the Heroine even fights the Villainess.

PyrosNine

I dunno about tentacle rape. Sounds like something certain OTHER forumites would do, but I suppose I would be capable if pushed.

I was really just intending to tie you up and then either eat cheeseball with crackers in front of you (It's a torture that is banned even in Guantanamo) or force feed you the disgusting potato based balls of grease that the Capitalist grew before whatever happened to him in Avvy 4.

It's well known that Sailor Moon's greatest weakness was anything that went toward's her hips because I could swear there were like, 12 episodes where the negaverse used sweets as a trap to steal heart crystals or whatever, and twice they had the "evil exerciser gym" scenario to steal the energy from food binging women, and Serena wandered into the traps running.

Furthermore, It is to my dishonor that I know so much about Sailor Moon. It has warped my upbringing (among other things) and was the first anime I knew everything about, and watched all the movies.

All because they always showed it before Dragonball Z, and dammit, I had time to kill!

I live....in shame! *would commit seppiku, but doesn't have suitable weapon, and doesn't dare try and take Tbmoichi's*

FOES

Name: Fungal Trolls
Class: Logical
Appearance: These trolls are one of the subspecies that is partially fungal in nature. They reproduce via spores which burrow and grow into new trolls. These are also believed to be the origin of the myth that if you cut off a limb, the limb will become a new troll eventually. This has been known to happen, but isn't particularly common.
Essentially, they are trolls - big, tough, strong, mean and not particularly blessed with looks or intelligence. Their skin is a mottled green with what looks like algae growing in patches on them. They generally wield crude weapons like clubs and wear nothing more than loincloths.
Abilities/weapons:
Regenerate: Like all trolls, fungal trolls rapidly heal from injuries. They are not particularly vulnerable to fire, able to regenerate the damage.
__________________________________________________

Devil Dogs

Basic info: Devil dogs are the off-spring of a hell hound and a mortal canine. This results in the mutated appearance of the beasts, since they are not truely demonic or mortal, but a sick mix of the two.

Appearance: Misshapen wolves. Have the general look of a wolf, but is larger. Fur is either pitch black or blood red…some have a combination of the two. All have white eyes with no pupils. Devil Dogs also have some sort of mutation that makes them different from normal canines. Some have more than one mouth. Some have more than four legs. Some have more than one head.
Use:: Tracking (DDs have an excellent sense of smell), cannon fodder.
Weapons/Abilities: No special abilities other than senses. Use teeth and claws as weapons.
Category: Cannon Fodder
__________________________________________________

Ice Trolls

Class: Veteran

Appearance: Ugly humiods, with fangs and claws. Covered in pale fur. Look like larger, uglier yeti. very strong

Abilites: Regeneration: Can onyl be truely destroyed by being reduced to ashes. Pieces will, in time, grow to become new trolls.
__________________________________________________

Yeti

Basic Info: The legendary snowmen of the north, Yeti have long lived on the North Pole. Pressed into service of the Demon's Lord, the Yeti now serve as the defenders of the parimeter of the castle.

Appearance: Large humaniods covered in thick, white fur. What skin is visible is a blue color.

Use: Perimeter guard.

Weapons/Abilities: Immune to cold. Use basic tactics, and weapons made from ice, including swords, axes, spears, javilins, and crude bows...don't ask me how they do bows, they just can.

Category: Troop
__________________________________________________

Wolfwere

Class: Vetern

Appearance: Basically like werewolves...except it's a wolf turning into a human creature, not a human turning into a wolf. The 2nd cousin twice removed of Lycanthrope.

Weapons/Abilities: Wolfweres rely on no weapon other than their own fangs and claws.

Regeneration: The famed ability of all werebeasts, wolfweres have the ability to heal from any wound not caused by silver at a fantasic rate. Only the brain and the heart cannot be healed, and destruction of either organ will result in death. Cuts are healed in seconds, and even a served limb can be regrown in minutes.
__________________________________________________

The noobs are classified thusly.

They are Grunts

The Grunts: come in massive, near-mindless mobs, and are basically easy to kill off. A single person could hold off 20-25 with no problem, however once you start building a wall out of their corpses, it gets a bit tiring. They just keep coming!

Basically, the noobs are either flailing their fists, or using makeshift weapons like a picked up rock. As grunts they are easily mowed through, but they have huge numbers on their sides, and attack en masse with almost endless numbers.
__________________________________________________

The Sane: stronger than grunts, so that 15-20 would pose a problem with an individual. They are smarter, and travel in large packs, preferring to pick off the loners of the group. Needs a bit of teamwork to get rid of these guys, but their numbers aren’t exhausting either.

Lurkers: Lurkers are Sane's as such they hold more power then the newbs, for they are actually literate, they just never seem to show up except in random places, or great events.
Edit: Oh yes, if needed Lurkers use shoddy manufactured weapons.
__________________________________________________

The Logical: medium-levelled mobsters. 5-10 of these will be problematic against 1. They are also smarter, and travel in packs of 12 (means that if one of you encounter a pack, it’s gonna be hellishly hard to come out of it without being moderately injured)

Flamers Flamers are much stronger then their inferiors of the lurkers and the newbs, they are constantly on fire, with no apparent harm to their bodies or clothing. Any item they touch superheats to very dangerous degrees, and this even carries out to their superior aim with thrown projectiles. They throw rocks, throwing axes, and other miscallenous items as thrown weapons, and carry flaming longswords and spears as melee weapons.
__________________________________________________

Name: The Horde
Class: unclassified. A mix of everything from minor boss to grunts.
Appearance: The Horde is not so much as a single entity, but many. They range from the giant Kraken to the diminutive Demon Shrimp, and each of their power ranges in elemental clarity and physical prowess. Some are even Undead.

Abilities/weapons:

Pfft, it's Suijin. Who the hell cares? - (Raiden this is targeted specifically at you. I'm not letting you off so easily THIS time!) all of The Horde are under the direct influence of William the Underwater Overlord, and since William the Underwater Overlord is in possession of Poseidon's Trident, he has control indeed.

OMG it's Asheth! - (Targeted at Pyrosnine, if he so chooses to assume that form at any time during combat) The Horde will avoid contact/attack with the deity named Asheth at all times. In fact, they will even act as royal escort should she ever appear. However, they will be hostile to whoever is with her, or around her, or trying to viciously attack her.

Numbers - Strength in numbers, once again. No difference except of their range of size and race.

The Horde possesses a variety of strengths and weaknesses, depending on their race. Some even have elemental attacks (like electric eels).

I feel this is more important if I continue being in this RP. How would you guys like me to color or differentiate DT's (Dark Twiddy) and LT's (Light Twiddy) voices? It doesn't matter to me, since I don't really have to read them. But I feel I should get some impute from you guys as you do.

And if you don't read my posts, you suck and I don't care about you.

Jam are ranked as Logical (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/showpost.php?p=421096&postcount=14).

A result of science having gone horribly wrong again, the creatures referred to as "Jam" are MagiTek-powered, silicone-based life forms, each endowed with the power of a specific magic element that they can both attack with and absorb if used upon them. They also have a digestive process that can dissolve and devour any organic tissue they envelope, but most of you are too big to be overtaken by it unless ganged up on. Not being solid, they are more than a bit resistant to the dismembering power of physical attacks and can regain their form quite quickly. They also come in a variety of fun fruity flavors!

Strawberry Jam: Fire-based. Weak against ice.

Blueberry Jam: Ice-based. Weak against fire.

Lemon Jam: Lightning-based. Weak against your mom. Go to hell.

Different elemental types can also combine powers to perform double and triple techs. Also, they move in big mixed clusters. Be wary.

Are the Jams completely immune to physical attacks, or would something like a sweeping a fine net through them do some harm?

It would at least slow them down. They aren't immune so much to physical attacks as they are able to reform after being hit.

New RP thread is up. (http://forum.nuklearpower.com/showthread.php?p=595436)

Classic enemy profiles provided by Toastburner B, Incendius, and Arhra:

Minor-bosses: Sub-boss levelled monsters. They are hellishly hard to kill, and can pin 2-3 heroes down quickly. Guns are almost like pellets to them, and they come in 2s and 3s. Teamwork is required to prevent an ass-whipping.

Badly Drawn Naked Transformation Anime (Hentai) Women™: The BDNTA(H)W are minor bosses, that is to say, more powerful then anything you have fought before, they all have extremely contrived powers, that often make no sense, ranging from shooting energy beams out of a rod, to summoning other creatures, such as flamers, newbs, lurkers, and trolls (see other thread, or beginning of this one)[/QUOTE]
__________________________________________________

Thod is also at the battle, tree and all, but he's not actually fighting. If someone feels a need to attack him, treat him as an Insane enemy, this rating being mainly due to his possibly negative IQ. He is astoundingly tough, strong and otherwise treat him as a fungal troll.
__________________________________________________

Rakshasa

Appearance: In their natural form, they have the body of human, but the head of a tiger. Being shape-shifters, they can take any form their choose.
Use: Lieutenants and spies of the legion.
Weapons/Abilities:
Greater Shape-Shifting: The ability to take any shape, regardless of mass and size. This includes clothes and weapons

Perfect mimicry: Rakshasa have the ability to mimic almost any active ability that they see. This does not include passive abilities such as healing.

Magic: Rakshasa are skilled mages, favoring black magic and necromancy.

Withering Blade: The Rakshasa carries a scimitar that is uses in it's natural form. When cut, the wound the sword creates festers, and the flesh around it dies. Immortals will have to concentrate hard to defeat the wound and the festering. It is horribly painful, and the festering can kill even an immortal if not countered.

Cat-Like agility: Rakshasa have agility equal to a cat. They can jump and move as fast any cat could...which is pretty fast.

Immortality: As a true demon of great power, Rakshasa enjoy immortally as a boon from their masters. Includes increased healing and a staggering inability to die via conventional means.

Category:Boss
__________________________________________________

NEW ENEMY TYPE: UNDEAD HORDE!

As unclassifiable in rank as their living counterparts, these reanimated monstrosities are a smidge stronger, totally mindless, and a lot harder to kill. The imps have joined with them, being similarly dead as of about eight minutes ago. They are under the complete control of the Rakshasa.

PyrosNine

Even I, who was not here to laugh, found myself laughing inexplicably during my long long drive here to Tennesee, which was arduous and full of baby crying. I cried as well, because we never stop to eat at any restaurant that i might like in anyway shape or form.

But this cuteness permeated this sorrow, and now I must hug a kitty. But not a dog, as the nearest dog is a giant, 150lb. black lab who smells a female dog on me and is excited by the prospect.

Will post when I get back, or If I'm not simply hijacking my Aunt's laptop.

Also, I expect Phoenix and Arhra/Rhiya to think up something super to defeat the evils of un-kawaii-ness! Feel free to smite me while I'm gone. Except for Pyros, who will probably just get shot a few more times and declare "twas a scratch!"

Ohhhhhhh shit, son! New enemy NPC incoming!

Name: Raiden, circa April 2006
Class: Boss
Appearance: Stands 6'2" with long white hair and glowing electric eyes. Well muscular, and doesn't wear a shirt. Even though it will be freezing in the North Pole, he doesn't feel the cold, even with the lack of clothing. A large sword is strapped to his back.
Weapons/Items:
-Dramacus Blade: A large sword made of the rare metal Dramacus. Through five straight days of careful electric whittling, Raiden managed to sharpen its blade to the microscopic level, making it incredibly sharp. Because of the denseness of the metal, it would take incredible amount of pressure to break it.
-Raiju: A Japanese demon whose name means "thunder animal". It is a demon of lightning in the shape of a cat, badger or weasel. During thunderstorms it becomes extremely agitated and leaps from tree to tree. If a tree shows the marks of lightning, people say that Raiju's claws have scratched it open. It stays with Raiden, usually walking beside him in it's large cat form, or resting on his shoulder in it's weasel form.
Special Abilities:
-Strength: He's an f'ing Thunder God. The perk of being a god is abnormal strength. Go look it up.
-Complete Electric Manipulation: Being the God of Thunder and Lightning means that he can easily create and manipulate electricity with a thought.
-Immortal: Again, Thunder God. You can't really kill a god. The only thing that comes close would be Krylo's withering blade, but even then his essence would simply end up in the God's Pantheon. He'd get a new physical vessel within the week, then be back out doing his thing.
-Rune: Using the ancient texts and symbols of magic, Raiden is able to perform what Mortals call 'miracles'.

... What's this about Dual Clienting? Isn't that banned?

Name: Sunose
Class: Shadow
Appearance: Shadowy copy of Nikose
Weapons/Items: False Nenyel- appears as a shadow of whatever nenyel's form is currently, cannot control it's form himself.
Special Abilities:
-Devour in Shadow: Can grab creatures and attempt to strangle them in darkness.
-Hide in Shadows: uh, Duh?
-Immortal: As a shadow of Nikose solidified, as long as Nikose lives, the Shadow lives.

And since Nikose is immortal too...

-Shadow copy: Can imitate Nikose's attacks, substituting shadow for the energy Nik would have been using.

Bailey

Waitwait, deepest wishes are coming true?

...

This requires plotting.

By the by, Keyman in 200 point Risus form.

Character: Keyman Prism

Description:
A guy who has a weird keyblade/batt'leth thing and tries to make PF happy. Also, he can change forms and colors.
Hooks:
Thinks that Phoenix is his mommy, when in fact his "mommy" is TEN.

Cliches:
Chromatic (4d12) - Changing forms based on colors, recognizing chromatic significances in others.
Loyal Minion (4d20) - Following orders, not asking questions, putting up with nonsense.
Warrior (3d8) - Hitting things with other things, breaking stuff.
Lie Detector (1) - Being able to tell when somebody is lying.
Mage (3d8) - Casting the spells that make the people fall down. Or stand back up. It all depends.
Speedster (3d8) - Getting out of the way of being hurt, running, jumping, acrobatics.

Tools: Keyblade, bag of holding, minion to master communication headset, mission parameter identification goggles, rollerblades.

1 means 1d6.

A 3d6 is a professional. A 1d6 is a putz.
