I left grade twelve, but I still have exams yet.

I'm going back to highschool next year to get in a few courses, like drafting - I wanna get into Architechture and Interior Design. I took English courses for most of highschool - 'cause I wanted to be a writer, then Biology, because I wanted to be a masseuse, and now I need more courses because I'm indecisive and lazy.

Oh well. Alls well that ends well - congrats, Domon!

My graduation isn't until the 30th.

Shit man...that's close....

Afterwards, I go off to Saskatoon for the big bad university.

I graduated just today, but from a Sophmore to a Junior, so I guess it isn't nearly as awesome.

Congrats', though.

I've got class until the 20th and then exams until the 25th, so I still have a while to go until I'm officially over with school. And even then, the actual graduation ceremony isn't until September 24th.

Pleh.

If he can? More like he should go if he wants to be able to purchase goods and services.

If he wants to be able to purchase goods and services? I'm confused!

And not everyone is able to get into university and can hook up a good job at good jobs to pay for it all.

I can't vouch for NZ, but in the States a Bachelors is now roughly equivalent to a high school diploma 50 years ago. I think something like 50% of our workforce is college educated, which makes a high school diploma worthless for anything but minimum wage hell (wouldn't even need the h.s. diploma for that). Besides, state school + government loans = pretty much anybody can go, even if it is a shitty way to do it.

Nope, everyone can't go. I myself have had many issues with health which have ruined my ability to go to school full time (financial reasons), and I have been working my ass off to get to go to school part-time while holding a full-time and a part-time job (neither minimum wage). Also due to working, not being part of any minority, and my parents not being seperated I qualified for a whoping $250 a year in grants and could get no loans.

What you make of yourself has to do with motivation and a long road (unless you're born with a silver spoon in your mouth).

Congrats on graduating you guys! What comes next is up to you, more freedom will come your way, freedom to both suceed and fail. Don't lose track of what you want and work for it, either through school or skill.

Personally, I think the freakiest part is when you start planning for September. It's that "Holy shit" moment that comes when you realize that life doesn't suddenly take a break, or stop in September. Oh no. You are going to have shit to do. Suddenly, you actually need to plan the stuff that you already do right now. You want to keep playing lacrosse? You've gotta' find a league! You want to swim? You need to find a pool and get a membership! You want to play in a band? You need to audition!

Well, I graduated Middle School.
Barely.
That has to count for something.
I already know it doesn't.
Right?
I'm going to go die.

Thank you for being the asshole and saying that, even though I was thinking it. Seriously, thread starter, go to college. Brag about it when you graduate there.
