Just so we are clear on how to type emotes, actions, and words I will spell it out.
Actions will have nothing, talking will be in quotes, emotes will have *, thinking will be done with ().
Oh and if you speak as another character type it like the example below.
Joe: "hello I am Joe"
Please read all this info, it is long but explains everything.
Now for the story itself:
The year is 2123. An inter-dimensional war has been under way for 100 years. Five factions have appeared each with its own leaders and objectives. One side is ruled by a pure energy being that wishes to destroy all life (he uses people to help with this task). The other is centered around Earth, it goal is to defeat the other factions and restore peace. Two more each merely wish to control all existance. The Final is a faction that only wishes to perpetuate the war and maintain a balance of power.
Factions: (factions will be named by thier respective leaders)
Galactic: He is a pure energy being that wishes to destroy all life and absorb all matter and energy into his being. His greatest warriors are Desolation the shape shifter with amazing strength, Armory he carries super charged weapons (melee weapons) and is skilled in all combat, and his mysterious aprentice. Only thing known about this aprentice is that she can manipulate energy into nearly and form. Galactic also keeps other beings alive as slave labor or exterminators
Master Tech: The leader of the Earth forces. He is a great warrior and wishes nothing more then to restore the universe to its proper order. He has the resources of many worlds and has a great and loyal army. His most powerful fighters are: Silent scope (the sniping mech that relies on sound), Blade ( a master swords man with many blades), Reaper (master marksman, works best with Blade), Cassandra (Master Tech's daughter and the only fighter to surpass him), Yochen (Master Tech's second in comand, him and Master Tech are capable of fusion), and Lilith (Cassandra's mother. Mighty Mechanoid, mech, piolet and the leader of a false army). All his forces are hired or volenteer.
Scorn: Was once Galactic's loyalist fighter but created his own army after being batrayed by his former master. Scorn is a master sorcerer and seeks not only to rule over all but to gain more mystical items to increase his strength. His main forces are demons, he maintains control with them and an item known as the Vassel of San Hane. The Vassel of San Hane is a portal to the under world. With it he can call demons to posses people.
Psysis: A powerfull psychic that was genetically engineered by Galactic. Him and Scorn have a weak but standing alliance. His forces are mainly robots and mind slaves. His psychic power is enhanced with special devises he has made and/or found. He also wants to control all life in existance.
Kilos: He is a creature that can absorb the skills, abilities, strength, and memories of others. Although he is the strongest he rarely interfears in the war. His goal is to continue the war and absorb people when they reach new levels of power. His only ally is Magnos a former human that he rebuilt. Magnos has control over magnetic fields and can teleport, levitate, and even rip holes in space time. In addition Kilos's rebuild allows him to regenerate. Oh and Master Tech is taken. Rest is first come first serve
World/ Game play
You can choose any faction, but if you wanna be one of the main characters please PM me so I can explain what they can and cannot do. With the exception of Kilos all factions have massive armies each with its own ships, technology, and weapons. There are Mechs, or mechanoids as they will be called here, and space ships both small and large. There are many dimensions and all sides have access to them.
Also no one will assume that thier hit made contact unless it is against an NPC. Fights will range from one on one to battles between armadas. If you have any further questions don't hesitate to ask.

Master Tech was in his war room awaiting his personel. When they arived he began his briefing.
"Ok the remender of Galactic's forces are in retreat but two new factions had appeared. Both Scorn and Psysis have created thier own armies and are quickly conquering territory. Worst of all they are denying those conquered the basic right of free-will. We have a new war on our hands and we must launch an offensive."

She sits in the room kinda just staring and trying to listen to what he has to say, a bit tired from last night and all the preparing she had to do, training and such on. She sighs but listens carefully. Not ready to get her butt kicked out just yet.

Azure woke up in his bed. He sat up and looked outside, taking notice of the blue planet that he was orbiting above.(Today is a new day, a great day. Because today I finally meet with Galactic in person. Today I will be blessed with the ability to turn the tides of this war and make it into something that he can be proud of.) He got up and got dressed. Then pushing a button, the door slid open and he stepped into the hallway and began walking down to the control room. Along the way he passed by the hanger and looked at his Mech. It stood tall and gleamed with it's new armoring. He proceded to the main deck and awaited his name to be called forth.

"Azure our master will speak with you now" Said a voice.
Inside he saw Galactic, he was a creature make entirely of blue energy crystals. He had an eerie glow around him.
"I have heard alot about your skill. As you know our army is much weaker and now we have other fronts to consider. Tell me have you heard of a ship class called the cosmo-diamond?"

Grendari slowly and purposefully walks up to Scorn and slightly inclines his head at him.
"Scorn, I am awaiting your say on the project. At your convenience, of course."
With that, Grendari turns around and walks away, not expecting an answer from Scorn for another hour or two as usual.

"The cosmo-diamond is Master Tech's new ship class. At any give angle half its weapons can fire at a target. It is so large Astro-spears can dock inside of it and its main weapon can destroy a moon." He looked over at him. "if you were to destroy this new ship I would be most pleased"

As Grendari is walking down the hall, a shadow falls across his path. He looks toward the shadow and sees a human sized demon. After a slight startlement at being blocked by a demon, he realizes it is the one they call Sokar, Demon of Erlu. He inclines his chin so as not to look up at the demon.
"Yes Sokar?"
Sokar
03-22-2004, 10:53 PM
Looking in Grendari's direction with a countenance befitting a demon Sokar says, "I would like you to help me in the upgrades I am performing on Apla Latluw. If you will help follow me please." This is all done in a strong, malevolent voice with his head facing high. With this he begins to walk down the hallway toward the ship's hanger.

(Seems like a victory for us.... How inevitable.....) Hermes thought as he observed the evacuation of Master Tech's remaining forces on the small planet of Roakk. (I suppose it wouldn't do to merely report their location...... It'd be more efficient to destroy a few.) With this thought, the thrusters activated, directing Hermes to the transports. (Yes... these are good.... They tuned the accelerator and the directional controls. Seems like they're fine now. I should use some of these experimental burdens.... These transports don't seem capable of fighting back...) At this, it activated a command to fire off the VTM: A missile pack in the final stages of testing. The first salvo went off fine, but as they split off into many smaller missiles (OOC: Think Robotech), it became obvious that a few major tweaks were needed, as several of the missiles were crashing into each other, and were going after different targets. (Such a waste....) thought Hermes, seeing the minimal damage. (Well, I've done my part..... The rest will be left to the battle droids.... The explosions should have registered on their dull sensors). With this, he left, on his way to scout the next battlezone, as he would until either its own destruction or Psysis' victory.....

Wondering what the demon could want his help with, Grendari, always the inquisitive type, followed him. After a few steps, Grendari was off thinking of this or that spell that could be imbued into a gun to increase its range or deadliness, or into a large ship like the one in which he was walking. He feels for his Rubix Cube and whispers, "I wonder when I'll be strong enough..." He mumbles some inaudible words that trail off as the demon stops moving.

Sokar stops and looks back at the Grendari for a second (at least he seems to be motivated, any way it works for me at least); with this Sokar begins to walk again making his way to the hanger. Here the Apla Latluw stands in its ominous form, dark and smooth shining in the hanger lights. It is about three times the height of Sokar, and is humanoid in shape. (My partner, we will taste their blood soon. Space shall be littered with their carcasses and their energy shall be ours my friend. Everything shall fall into place). He walks in with Grendari following in his scatter-minded state. "I need to have you help me fix a few of the problems picked up from the last battle. The last Magnes I destroyed blew up right on my right side. The explosion seems to have messed with some of the magic fields on the Apla Latluw. The right Valcjin and the right AEROD seem to be malfunctioning. With your expertise in magic and science, it seems that you would be best suited."

Gleeful for any reason to use the knowledge passed down to him by his master, Grendari sets to work. After three hours of tinkering with the system, he anounces that he has completed it, and hopefully fixed a minor bug he noticed while working on the problems mentioned. "It should be alot faster now, there was a flaw in the control systems that looked to be causing sluggish response, so I threw out the bad piece and made a newer, better one. I'd say good as new, but it isn't, it's better! You wouldn't happen to have anymore repairs or such you need do you, cause if so, now would be the time, before Scorn's project begins."

(I thought the damn mechanical parts that fused with it were making it respond to my thoughts a bit late. If we didn't need the material components to cross over it would be so much better. Grendari does seem to have his uses, the rest of the mechanical boosters and such might need an overhaul. The organic parts on the other hand should be left to evolve on their own; my synchronization with it will increase naturally). "Fine, you can look at the rest of the booster parts and the orbital frame structure. Maybe you can find a way to make the thing take more then two hits before I have to retreat. Damn Master Tech junk, why did it have to be the thing Alpa Latluw fused with? Oh well, do what you can I suppose. If you wouldn't mind."

Scorn walks in on the two working on the mech. "I have a job for both of you. There was an artifact found in dimension UAP-173. I need you to retrieve it for me." He begins to walk away, "just remember to walls have ears. Beware what you say about be or you may find yourself being the Bane of Life's next meal."

OOC: I thought () meant you were thinking it. I didn't know he had mind reading powers, oh well.
"May we take the Oblivion, it is in dock now and is eager to get in a fight? I mean usually artifacts attract attention." As he says this, the Apla Latluw begins to move behind him, moving toward the other side of the hanger where the transports are.
Scorn: "Fine, just go and get it for me."
Sokar: "Good then, lets go Apla Latluw. You to Grendari."
They all begin to go toward the other side of the hanger toward the small carrier craft known as the Oblivion. It is the carrier that Sokar has used on every mission so far. It is sleek and swift, with no weapons what so ever. As Sokar and Grendari enter the front the Apla Latluw enters the bay. Once they are all on, as well as some other demonic mechanoids, the Oblivion blasts out of the hanger into the vastness of space. Once clear of the ship the Oblivion performs an inter-dimensional jump into UAP-173. Here they reenter normal space and begin to scan the surrounding space.

While on board the Oblivion, Grendari takes another look at the Apla Latluw.
"Hmm.....I see......Well isn't that something.....I think this part here will need replacing.......wow, that is really somethin' "
Grendari turns to face Sokar.
"This shield generator is really an antique. My Master used one just like it to demonstrate shield concepts to his youngest students. Luckily, I have the plans for a new shield he finished in the last year of his life...I'll just have to take this generator entirely apart and I don't know if I'll have the time to build a new one before you'll need it again, so let me see if I can find an extra in the supply room on this ship first."
After closing up the insides of the mechanoid and screwing in some loose screws, Grendari walks to the supply closet without a second look at the demon and its mechanoid. After half an hour of searching, he finds what he is looking for and returns to the workshop with it.
"I'll just use this as a base for the new one, replace your old one when I have completed it and, if you don't mind, I'd like to keep that generator."
With this, Grendari set to work. The throbbing of magic, the pounding of a hammer, the electric screw driver and then silence. Again and again these sounds come out of the workshop until three hours later when Grendari walks out with a small spherical object.
"I've created a more efficient base that is receptive to the process with which I shall create your new generator. Now that that has been completed, I can start on the actual generator, I wouldn't suggest waiting around for it, because it will take around 72 hours of time. Luckily, I don't need sleep because of this Rubix cube."
Grendari turns back around and reenters the workshop, and the sounds begin anew.

"Ummmmm...
Well, any upgrade you make to the shields will take awhile to take effect once the new generator is in. I mean the cells of the organic parts have to adjust to the new field outputs and so must morph, which takes awhile. So I can only put it in if we have a month or two of noncombat. I had to figure that out the hard way. So the thought is nice, but you don't have to do it with no sleep, the mission should take longer then that."
With this Sokar goes over to the nearest bed and sits down. He puts his hands together and begins to hum lightly, making grumbling sounds that sound like mumbled chants. Two days later the ship begins to go through a gravity well inside of a super nova. They jump through the distorted space to the next galaxy on their charts, scanning as they reenter space. As they reenter they notice a small armada orbiting a nearby planet. Sokar instantly tells the computer to shut off all systems. If they want to remain undetected then they will have to keep the oblivion silent. They float through space at a 90 degree angle to the planet.
"Damn it, who is it now."

As Grendari is finishing up his work on the second full day of work, the lights in the Oblivion all turn out, as well as all non-life support systems. Grendari puts everything down and walks to the bridge, wondering what has happened. As he arrives at the bridge he sees that the Sokar has turned everything off and supposes that means that there ships outside the Oblivion and that they are hiding from them. Grendari looks out at the armada beyond the view port, and realizes that this is part of the Master Tech fleet.

The Oblivion floats past the next planet from the star as the planet the armada is orbiting. Here in the shadow of the planet, masked by its magnetic field Sokar activates the Oblivion once more.
"Damn it, an entire armada is a bit much at the moment. I mean I could take out the mechanoids, but without a real Cathedral ship we are as good as dead if they find us."
Just then the sensors beep, showing that the planet that the armada is orbiting is in fact matching the signature that Scorn gave them for the artifact. "Don't tell me. Of course the artifact is going to be surrounded by an armada large enough to take out two Galactic Juggernauts. So this is going to be a pain in the a** mission to fulfill. Oh well, we agreed to and so we're going to have to do it. Just let me see where the computer put the exact location of the artifact at. I guess if I were to put all power into my thrusters and was by some miracle able to lure the armada away from the planet before Apla Latluw exploded from over heating there would be a chance. But since that is the craziest idea I have ever heard I would be open to suggestions Grendari." With this he looks at Grendari.
Elminster_Amaur

Grendari shrugs and enters a thoughtful pose. :rmage:
"Well, if we knew who that was we could pose as members of that army. We could try the experimental teleportation system, but that is unadvisable. We could try to warp space-time so as to arrive before them, but I wouldn't know how to begin doing that. We could just put on disguises and pose as merchants, but still, not knowing which army that is, we may be destroyed and looted....One final thought: we could land on this planet here, make the Oblivion look as though it is one of their ships, send a distress signal to them, you disguise yourself and I'll just stay in my lab coat and we let them take us to the artifact....Of course that could be very risky if we were caught."
Sokar
03-23-2004, 09:32 PM
"Wait, you want me to pose as a human or such? I am a demon you know, I think they would notice the protruding horns and the like. Maybe if you were to do it, it might work. You don't seem like the usual Scorn follower, so if you want to try it we could land on the planet and let you off with a distress beacon. Then I and the Oblivion could fly off to the other region of the planet and wait for your signal. We could also just give you a limited time, then I could fly in with the Oblivion and distract the armada away form the planet while you highjack a transport and make a jump to the last system we were in. I would then follow you, pick you up, and we would jump out before they could get a lock on our jump coordinates. It is just a thought."

"Ah, that sounds like a wonderful idea. I think it may work. Let's try it."
At that, Grendari tells the ship to go toward the planet they are hiding behind. After they land, Grendari sets everything up and when the Oblivion flies out of sight and sunrise has occurred, he initiates the distress signal. The reaction by the armada is almost instantaneous. A scouting ship is sent down and they find everything to be as it seemed. A lone survivor of a shipwreck who just noticed the armada in the sky sent them a distress signal. After a few questions that lead to their concluding that this survivor could not possibly be anything but a local scientist, trying to make a trip to the neighboring galaxy when he was pulled into this secondary planet of the local sun, they take him aboard, not telling him who they are. Although it is not good to assume, Grendari, seeing the majority of humans in this scouting team, guesses that it is one of Master Tech's armadas.
"Sirs, I was wondering if you could drop me off at the planet your ships are circling."
Scout: "Of course, saving lives is why we joined the army."
"Thank you so much sir, I don't know how I could ever repay you."
Scout: "Think nothing of it, unless you want to help me get one of the local chicks to dig me?"
"I would, but I am a hermit and would not be able to help in those matters."
Scout: "Really? I had you pegged as one of those scientist guys who go around the scientific community sharing your research."
"Nope, just a hermetic scientist...except during the annual Universal Fair. Then I go to see the new advances in other sciences and my own brand of science, but that is the only time I leave."
Scout: "Oh, ok. We should be arriving on the surface shortly."
As the scout ship reenters the atmosphere, everyone onboard straps into their seats. A little turbulence, but then smoothness. Deceleration and then they land. After saying thank you to everyone onboard again, Grendari walks free onto this planet.

After setting Grendari on the planet's surface Sokar and the Oblivion travel right into the magnetic storm surrounding the space behind the planet. Here Sokar enters the Apla Latluw and awaits the time when the near suicidal idea is to be undertaken. Apla Latluw begins to tremble with anticipation. "Just wait my friend, we must wait. When he gets the artifact we will act, but you shouldn't be so eager to throw yourself into a fray like that. I mean one lucky shot from one of those main ships and we turn into space dust, so just ease off the trigger a little and let me take full control. I don't want any lip from you, so just please calm down. Geesh, it's been how many years since we became one mind and you still talk back. Yes, I know this is crazy and we are most likely going to die, but that isn't the point. Good, we got that settled so just wait and be ready. Yes, mind meld with me because it gives us the best chance of survival. Thank you." After this little conversation the ship becomes silent. All the demonic mechanoids are powered up and ready to go. The ship merely sits there, floating in the middle of the magnetic storm waiting for its mission.

OOC: I DO have a profile up. It's been there, I think.
IC:
Hermes began moving away from the transports, but as they started to pull away, he saw that the battle droids were not moving to intercept. They seemed to be busy fighting with Master Tech's mechanoids, and didn't appear to be on their way anytime soon. (Fools... Very well. I shall pursue the transports myself. Dead men tell no tales, I suppose.) With this, it activated its stealth functions and began pursuit of the limping transports. After a few days worth of travel through systems as of yet unpenetrated by Psysis' forces, they arrived at what appeared to be a planet of no note, magnetic storm and Master Tech armada notwithstanding. (Interesting..... This would be an excellent opportunity... To strike here without any warning will be a devastating blow to Master Tech's armada... I'll bet that those mechanoids were fighting to the death just to keep our dim-witted robotic forces from discovering this location.... What's on these transports that's so important? Well.... I'm most likely just jumping to conclusions.) As Hermes ruminated, a distress signal started pinging up on its scopes. "Eh, I seem to have made a miscalculation... Apparently, I had no information on this sun. Could one of you guys help give me a ride?" The speaker appeared to be nothing more then an ordinary scientist, so Hermes focused attention elsewhere, as the armada stopped. They took the transports on, and simultaneously dispatched what appeared to be a scout ship to go planetside. (Curious.... I'll have to observe for a while...)

As soon as Grendari walked far enough away from the base, he pulls out the tracking device that was set to the artifact's wavelength and frequency, and starts walking off in the direction the magic waves are coming from.
After about three hours of walking, he arrives at the location the waves seem to be emanating from and looks around.
"Well, this is going to be harder than I thought."
The spot from which the waves seem to be emanating is a barren looking area. The remains of what looks like a giant and a forest are scattered about the area.
"I wonder what happened here..."
"Maybe the object is buried or something."
Grendari begins a long and strenuous search.
After about five minutes of digging he reaches bedrock. "Arrg. The waves are emanating from through the ground. There has to be a cave entrance somewhere." Three hours after the moment he began looking for the artifact, Grendari finds a small openning in the side of a hill. Beside it is a small sign with ancient symbols that are all but worn away.
"I wish I knew what those said.."
With those words he enters the cave.

(It is time that I left this tampered space. The message will never breach the magnetic field. Oh well, lets go in front of the planet so we can look over the armada. I would like to know eactly what I will have to run from. I hate running but this mission dictates that we have to.) With this the Apla Latluw slowly flies outside the Oblivion. It drifts until the photons from the star hit its skin. As soon as this happens the Apla Latluw becomes invisible, absorbing all the photons so as to stop its reflection. Once invisible it flies in front of the planet, looking upon the armada. (Three E class, two B class, and one A class cruiser. Hmmmm. Well I'll have to run any way so I guess it doesn't matter how many ships there are.)

Azure strode back to the communications deck. He went on the intercom.
"Attention 2nd Dragoon Division, we have recieved orders to move out to the Gamma Quadrant of the Milky Way Galaxy. You have one hour to be packed and ready to go by your mech. We will be preforming a search and destroy for a new type of Master Tech ship. More instructions will be given at the time of departure, now get ready."
He walked back out of the room and headed over to the hanger to make any last minute adjustments to his specially outfitted mech. He got into the mech and began to plug in the coordinates. After an hour of running the flight check, the men had gathered in the hanger and were getting inside their mechs as well. Once they got in, they found the coordinates uploaded. Once everyone was loaded up, the men got to their launch bays and fired off into space. The men reassembled together and prepared for a space jump, the hum of energy started and then everything around them turned white.

As Hermes began examining something VERY curious.... what appeared to be a moving spot of dark in space..... It was moving slowly enough, and appeared to be circling around the armada, careful to not get between the armada and the planet. (When did Master Tech get stealth technologies this good? This may be a testing ground for them... Caution of the utmost must be exercised.) With this, it shut down its thrusters and began running silent, a simple task for a robot.

(I guess I can back off to the second planet for now.) The Apla Latuw begins to back off, but as it does this one of the armada ships begins to turn. (Damn it. Guess this wasn't avoidable. Oh well, maybe they didn't really see me). As Sokar thinks this the ship fires right in front of him, across his bow if he had one. (Nevermind). All the ships begin to turn toward his position. The Alpa Latluw comes out of stealth mode, the strain put on it by the excessive heat makes it hard to maneuver. As soon as it decloaks it flies toward the second planet. (The Oblivion should keep out of sight, so I'll leave it alone for now). The ships are unable to close the gap between themselves and the Apla Latluw and so set out two Magnes to catch it. (They underestimate me don't they). The Apla Latluw turns itself around and places all power into its thrusters. The Apla flies past the first Magnes, quickly slicing it in half. Right as this happens the second Magnes opens fire with a beam rifle. Apla begins to fly in a circling motion around it, however, it is unable to get any closer do to the wild barrage the Magnes is laying down. (Well, guess I can take a shot, I mean I'm going to run any way). Apla flies directly at the Magnes, taking a shot as he closes. The Magnes is unable to dodge quickly enough and is stabbed through the cockpit. Apla throws it off its sword in the usual fashion. (Guess that puts me at one more shot for my shields, but that was at least fairly easy). Fifteen more Magnes fly out of the main ship. (Damn it).

As Grendari enters the cave, the entrance slowly shrinks and then is no longer there. Grendari pulls out his rubix cube and turns it a couple of times. As soon as the whole yellow side of it is alligned, a large swath of light cuts through the darkness. He continues onward and, using the tracking device he makes his way through the dark cave. As the signals get stronger and stronger, the passage widens. Suddenly the passage widens to be the size of a large chamber. "Wow."

As Grendari looks into this large open chamber, the waves being emitted from the artifact grow so strong that they shatter the tracking device. Shining his rubix cube across the cavern, Grendari sees two small sets of red eyes.
"Hello, I come in peace!"
The eyes, turned in his direction, start to lift from their position near the ground.
"Atan! Atan, áva suc I Ninquë Limpë."
"I don't understand. What is this you are saying?"
At this point, the red eyes disappear in a swirl of furiously bright clouds. Grendari, seeing this as the most opportune time, immediately walks toward the center of the room. There awaited a pedestal, and upon this pedestal were two goblets, one filled with a red wine and the other with a white wine. Grendari looks deeply into the wines and decides that it must mean that he has to drink one. Grendari, having never liked white wine, picks up the goblet of red wine and downs it. Immediately, the pedestal lowers into the ground and from the ceiling comes what appears to be a suit of armor. Assuming that this is what he's looking for, Grendari pulls out his bag that he had made to work just like the bags that the ancients had called a "bag of holding" and slowly pushed the armor into it. Just as it goes into the bag and he put the bag back into his lab coat, a loud rumbling echoes from deep below the chamber.

As the fifteen Magnes begin to close in Apla retreats to the backside of the second planet. The Magnes follow suit. Upon reaching the other side Apla enters the magnetic field. The Magnes seeing the disturbance stop in mid pursuit. (They aren't willing to risk frying their onboard computers, knew it. The main ships will be a problem though, their guns could wipe out the entire spacial coordinates the magnetic field is occupying. I'll get about five hours at most, by then their guns should be in position. Wait. If the ships have to pursue me to this side, then maybe the Oblivion can go close to the surface and make its way to the other side. It would have a straight shot to the other planet. It might go over well, or maybe the oblivion will be shot down before it even reaches space on the other side. They had to have left at least one battle ship next to the planet. What the hell. I'll just use the drones as decoys while I get the main ships full attention.) The drones are activated from within the Oblivion. "All demonic warriors, front and center!" All the drones fly out of the transport and appear in front of Apla. "Now you all fly out there and distract the Magnes. I'll fly behind you and will break through there net. You will distract them at all costs, make sure I get through."

As the rumbling starts to pick-up in intensity, Grendari runs back to the entrance of the cave, but, finding it entirely gone, he realizes that this was a trap. Grendari switches the sides on his rubix cube and completes the red face. Immediately, a red beam, about the size of a face on the cube, shoots out and burrows a hole through the rock. Pebbles begin to rain from the roof of the passage and the small opening is growing larger and larger. By the time Grendari has created an opening large enough for him to crawl through, large stones start to fall to the ground. Grendari crawls through the small opening and just as he safely exits the cave, it collapses upon itself. Grendari then mixes the colors on the cube up again so as to not shoot the laser out anymore.
After a breif rest by the remains of the cave, Grendari walks a little farther from the direction of the base and sends the signal to Sokar.

(Well, it seems like that wasn't one of Master Tech's ships....) Hermes thought as he saw one of the smaller ships open fire on the black spot. (That's just plain odd... What side is that one working for....) was the thought running through its mind as it witnessed the battle. Once the demon drones flew out, however, Hermes saw that it was none but the infamous Scorn whom had some set of forces out in the area. (Well now, I wouldn't be much of an ally if I didn't help in some small way.) It disabled stealth mode and flew straight for the battle between the Drones and the Magnes. (Let's try this again, but with one minor alteration....) with this, it removed all targets from it's targetting systems all but one Magnes, and then fired off another VTM package. The trick worked like a charm: Although the missiles were still crashing into each other, the majority hit the targetted Magnes, badly damaging it. The drones, seeing that Hermes wasn't shooting at them, roundly ignored it, whilst he seemed to have drawn the Magnes' attention with that little display. (And here comes the fun...) as the Magnes began opening fire on him as well as the demons....

The troops came out of the jump in front of an asteroid feild. The jump was relatively routine for them to do. The swerved in and out of the asteroid feild as they got out of it, the noticed their target, the Cosmic-Diamond. Few ships were surrounding it making it much easier to make out. The troops went back into the feild while Azure created his plan of attack. They would divide into two groups, one side would come around the planet while the other would serve to destroy the ships that guarded the Cosmic-Diamond. The planet would provide perfect cover while the Cosmic-Diamond would not be able to fire it's weapons at it's own ships. He sorted out who was going where and the other group zoomed off towards the far side of the planet. He checked in with all the men with his group and they all charged up their claws. And as if by instinct, they all flew out in their confusion pattern towards a single ship. (This should make the most of our speed, they shouldn't even be able to get a lock on for fireing their weapons)

ooc: ok first you should be aware that with few, very very few, exceptions nothing can beat a magnes. Except time itself, though no side knows this.
The Magnes destroyed most of the demons with its charged partical gun. It sharply turned towards the remaining demons. With a single sweep it cleared the entire area of demons. With a shot fired from its tail it destroyed the Scorn transport. It was now sighted at its new foe ready to tear it apart.
On the other side of the planet Desolation was setting down. He took a need and injected it into a tree. He then poured an orange liquid into the water. He senced the battle on the other side. "Fools let them fight over this rock. Soon they will all be dead anyways." With a demonic smile he flew back into space.

OOC: I knew the Magnes was a tough and powerful thing to behold. The Apla is faster then them, but can only really take two concentrated shots, which is its real weakness. I was already hit once and so would explode on the next hit. The Drones (very numerous) were to merely be cannon fodder, targets to get their attention. They weren't expected to even damage them, just to act as decoys really. That is why I was running my a** away. The Apla cannot even damage a normal cruiser, so its only purpose is to destroy mechs. Yes, taking down one Magnes forces the Apla to put a lot of strain on the engines (has to put everything into one direction so it is a target if another anything is around, and cannot use full speed for two minutes). If there is anything else fighting as well then the Apla dead like a flea in an incinerator. I was by no means insinuating that they were not the horribly powerful death machines they were, just that the speed advantage gives just enough of an advantage to be able to out maneuver one (speed is all I got, two shots and I explode), while the second is distracted by the AERODs. So as to not make anyone else think that the Magnes is in any way defeatable by any normal squadron of mech (or even a normal armada), I will refrain from using it in any future reference (at least in actually fighting it).
IC:
Seeing every one of the 1000 drones and the Oblivion destroyed in an instant Sokar decides to stop any thought of going to the first planet. (Well, I didn't expect them to do much, but I at least thought they would distract them for nearly a half a minute. Oh well). The Apla puts all its energy into the after burners and boosts so quickly that one of the arms rips off from loss of integrity due to the first shot. (Hopefully, something will pick me up while I'm drifting through space after my engine explodes). Apla is able to make it into a meteor belt in the solar system. Here its engine explodes, forcing it to use emergency jets to maneuver unto one of the large meteors. (This is going to be very bad, I have no way of moving anymore, and at least one of those ships is going to come this way. We were so under informed for this thing. I think Scorn was trying to kill us. Better just sit back and relax, either I sit here for a few weeks or I get destroyed. Nice options.)

Grendari, realizing something must be wrong, returns to the Master Tech base. Seeing a small shuttle guarded by a single person, Grendari approaches. It turns out that the one person is the same scout that dropped him off on the planet.
"Hi!"
Scout: "Oh, hello. Need something?"
"Well, I was wondering if I could get a ride to the planet of Einerlin."
Scout: "I'm afraid the best I could do is one of those large ships up there. I haven't enough fuel left to make that jump."
"Hmm. That presents a problem. How 'bout a ride to that ship up there?"
Scout: "No civilians aloud aboard."
"Well, what if I told you that I could get you a really loose chick up on Einerlin?"
At this point Grendari pulls out the rubix cube and starts arranging it to complete the green face.
Scout: "Hey, what're you...."
A green ray appears on the scout's forehead.
"Heh, your going to take me up there."

Azure punched in the coordinates of where he was back to a nearby fleet of Destroyers. "This is Commander Azure requesting the deployment of a dozen Destroyers. We are entering into battle as we speak against a new ship, a dozen Astro-Spears and a few thousand other Aerozords. Have the Destroyers engage the Astro-Spears. We can take care of the remaining ship and mechs."
Nameless Armada Leader:"I copy that Commander Azure, we will be there shortly after a space jump."*click* The Armada Leader shut down to communications in order to prepare for the jump. Azure focused back on the targets at hand. The Aerozords were comming in fast while in their jet modes. Azure charged up his claws and spread his arms wide. After waiting for about three days Sokar begins to become impatient. (That is it; I'm going to help myself. Scorn probably is laughing at my death, if he even cares or notices). With this Sokar opens the cockpit to the Apla. (Thank the pits of hell I don't need to breath that pathetic oxygen the humans need). Sokar jumps out and begins to examine the meteor he is stranded on. (If I can just find something organic then I might be able to fix Apla enough to get off this rock). He jumps from the cave the Apla is now hidden in to the outer part of the meteor. Here he surveys the field, looking for anything at all. (Parasites tend to drain the minerals out of debris fields. Although they tend to be the energy form types. I don't need energy though at the moment. I'll take a look around). He walks into the sunlight emitted from the star and begins to absorb it. He shoots a blast just strong enough to throw him to a neighboring meteor. Here he scours the meteor looking for anything. After finding nothing he jumps to the next meteor. With a little searching he eventually finds a meteor covered in parasites. (Finally, I've been searching for an entire day. Now where did I leave the Apla? Ah, there it is.) Sokar begins to use energy to push the meteor toward Apla, running from one side to the next to keep balance and to steer. As he is going along a huge meteor smashes into another and begins to cause a chain reaction. (Just when things were looking up). He begins to frantically throw energy attacks out to get the meteor away from the chain reaction of debris. He is able to get it fairly close to the Apla before a large chunk of rock hits the backside of the meteor Apla is on. (Apla! Jump now!). Apla appears out of the cavern and manages to jump at the meteor Sokar is on. However, Apla misses and begins to float through space. (Damn it!). Sokar jumps off of the meteor directly at the Apla, using controlled energy bursts to direct his path. He manages to reach the Apla, and begins to steer it toward the meteor the parasites were on. Sokar looks behind him to look at the meteor and looks just quick enough to see it hit by another meteor. This destroys it in the process. Sokar throws blast after blast trying to pick up speed. (Maybe I can save some pieces of the parasites). He blasts to quickly and ends up smashing both of them into the rocks. The parasites can be seen flying to the next meteor on their menu. Collisions are a normal event to them. (Jump! Now!!). The Apla jumps toward the new location, nearly missing it. Here the Apla begins to scoop up the parasites. Once all of them are caught Sokar begins to concentrate. (By my will the flesh becomes one!). After this thought is completed the parasites begin to meld with the Apla. The flesh melts and goes toward the damaged engine section. Once there it seeps in and forms a new organic engine type. (That was weird; they shouldn't have formed an entirely new engine. I was only expecting a short burst emergency engine from that type of organics). Upon closer inspection of one of the parasites, Sokar notices they are some kind of hybrid energy organic type parasite. Sokar enters Apla and activates the engine. It doesn't activate, however. Sokar looks around for a reason, but finds none. He looks up and sees that a planet is blocking the star's light. (Wait, it is made from an energy type hybrid. Maybe it needs to absorb energy to activate). The Apla pushes off of the meteor and makes its way away from the planet. Once sunlight hits the frame the engines activate. (That theory turned out to be correct). With his engines fixed Sokar begins the arduous path to a planet of either Scorn or Psysis. There was one about a hundred light years away from his current location. It would be long, and by long Sokar is thinking the war will be over by the time he makes it, and hard but he had to do it. (I have no other option at the moment so I guess that is where I am going.)

"Dock in that ship over there."

The Aerozords came fast, one of them wasn't able to dodge in time and ran itself agains one of Azure's claws. It slid right through like butter and spun off crashing into another Aerozord. They turned around and made a second run at Azure's troops, not many of the Dragoons were missing so far. The continued their charge to the Astro-spears moving in the same confusing pattern as they did before. The Aerozords came up behind them and tried to get a lock on some of them, few were able to but some missles did hit their mark, destroying and damaging five Dragoons in the process. Just then, three beams came down and sliced through the Astro-spear that Azure was headed for. He looked up and saw a dozen Destroyers bearing down on the fleet fireing their beams at the Astro-Spears. (Good now we can focus on thoes Aerozords.) "Troops, lets swat some flies shall we?" A few resounding cheers came from the other men and they all made U-Turns and started to zoom back at the approaching Aerozords. The men charged their claws again and ripped through the Aerozords. The Aerozords transformed into their Mech forms and began fireing on the Dragoons. (Heh, the problem with bullets is they don't stop in space. Most likely, they will eventually start to hit eachother if we move fast enough.) Azure positioned himself between two Aerozords, they fired at him and he moved out of the way at the last minute. The two pilots realized their mistakes, but it was too late, the bullets crashed into them and their mechs exploded. (Who's next?)

As Sokar begins to reach the outside of the solar system he sees that on the last planet a small outpost exists. (Hmmmm. Lady Luck has smiled upon me this day. I will not let it go to waste). Sokar goes into stealth mode and gets a little closer to the planet while staying in direct sunlight. Here he waits for about an hour when suddenly a transport ship begins to leave the planet. Sokar flies in and grabs the top of the transport as it folds. As soon as they defold the Apla de-cloaks and boosts in front of the transport. They jumped into a space where a large star glows in the background, unhindered by planets and debris. (Good, there won't be any power problems in this space). "You will now stop and allow me to board." He says this as he points his blade directly at the cockpit. But a second after a bunch of mecha begin to fly out the back of the transport. "You have chosen your fate,” he says in a calm, malevolent manner as he thrusts his sword just enough to pierce the shields and brake the glass. The pilots fly out and die as their lungs explode. Twenty-mecha fly for the Apla. (Pathetic mech pilots; they think they can destroy me with these normal pieces of junk. Stupid cannon fodder). Apla flies past hem destroying five. As he passes the mecha fire upon him, six being destroyed by stray bullets in the attack. The Apla positions itself for another fly by as the mecha reorganize themselves. "I would surrender if I were you, there is only nine of you left and I destroyed five of you with one strike."
Mech Leader: "Never you foul perversion of existence!"
Sokar: "Your funeral."
Apla flies directly in the middle of the remaining mecha, which is easy because they have positioned themselves in a cluster formation. Apla begins to swing its sword destroying one after the other of mecha. (Pathetic fools, I was in a generous mood today since I just got my a** kicked). Apla flies into the transport bay and Sokar gets out and closes the doors. He makes his way to the cockpit and begins to readjust the shields so the front will have stronger support; a needed action since the windows had been taken out. Once the calibrations are finished he puts in the jump coordinates needed to get back to Scorn's base.

By now, most of the Aerozords had been destroyed. A few valiant straglers remained behind, but it would not take long for them to be overcome either by the rampaging Dragoons. Seeing that this battle was over, Azure recalled his troops and they set out for the Cosmo-Diamond. They passed by a few Astro-Spears who were still busy fighting the Destroyers. Nothing was fired at them as the troops spread out wide as they continued to move. (Even if the Cosmo-Diamond could fire, it would only be able to hit one or two of us at a time. Apla flies toward the fray keeping just far enough away to not be in the blast radius of any stray rockets. One of the Galactic cruisers is destroyed by five simultaneous nuclear devices. They happened to be new tactical shield modulating rockets. The entire front half was vaporized immediately, but the engine block seemed to be intact. (Interesting, a tactical weapon meant to destroy everything but the parts Psysis can rip off. To bad I'll use it for my own purposes). Apla flies around the battle field making sure to not be hit. Apla makes its way into the engine block, manuevering toward the engines energy source. (Now I'll just help myself to this energy so I can make up for my lost AERODs). Apla breaks open the case surounding the power block. Apla drives its hand into the pure energy, siphoning it off. Apla takes it all in and converts it into one AEROD. (Well it's a start). Apla looks backward and notices a squad of mecha begin to approach his position. Seeing this it goes back into stealth and flies out into space. Another cruiser is hit with the weapon, one very close to the previous one. (Another morsal for my hunger). He repeats the same process as before and forms another AEROD. Demon: "Sir, at 0927 we discovered a large amount of energy coming from a nearby system. It seems to be a combination of artifact energy and a space-time energy anomoly. It also appears that two rather large fleets are in that general vicinity. Lord Scorn wishes for you to look into it."

After all of the pre-flight precautions he slowly takes the ship out of the hanger and turns it toward the system indicated on the sheet of paper that the demon handed him. The squad charges in a scatter formation. Apla charges as well with the AERODs swirling around him. The first mech makes its way up to the Apla and is slashed in half with two strikes. Six other mechs surround the Apla posed for a barrage. The AERODs fly out blasting one of the mechs. The other five charge their guns and fire upon the Apla. One bullet strays and destroys one of the mech, all others miss. (Ha, I don't even need to attack. Your destroying yourselves). The AERODs blaze out of the mech they had already destroyed and destroy another. Apla quickly takes out the rest. As the last is destroyed a huge barrage of Ion cannon blasts destroys five of the Psysis cruisers. (I should help out our 'ally'). Apla flies toward one of the Galactic mech squadrons, destroying them all. Half way through the conflict 3 Destroyers appear from hyperspace. (Damn it, they're going to kick our collective a**). But as the three destroyers appear from hyperspace, an unfamiliar vessel appears behind the Psysis units. With one shot from the unknown vessel the middle destroyer is vaporized into space dust, and the two others have their sides melted and their computers burned out from the energy surge that followed the blast. (Ummmm, I guess they don't need help. Well, I don't see the ship recharging that weapon, so it should be safe to take the spoils. More AERODs for me I guess.) The Apla goes into stealth and flies toward the wounded destroyers. It makes its way to them and manages to form three more AERODs from the left over energy. Grendari, though a bit startled from the abrupt pull from hyper-space, keeps a stern visage. “I knew Kilos was a bit of a megalo, but a parish? Hah, I mean, why would he start a church? Or by parish did you mean perish, Sir Magnos? If by stop hampering Scorn’s advancement, then yes, I’ll conform to his wishes, but other than that, what would you expect me to do?”

Magnos looked at his foe. "Wise move my unworthy foe. It is my master's will that you will help Scorn gain in power. If you do not do this you will be destroyed to make room for more tolerable warriors."
ooc: if you are going to coment on a misspelling do it on the discussion thread so it can be edited. Dont waste space on here

"Fine, I'll help him grow in power." Grendari turns off the comm. screen and jumps back into hyper-space.

The unknown vessel then opens a channel with all ships and begins to spout off demands of the immediate surrender of all Galactic forces. Seeing this as an opportunity, Sokar flies back to the transport. He sends one of the AERODs into the center of the two quasars. Apla enters the transport and gets feed back from the AEROD, finding out that an anomaly similar to the signal given off from the artifact earlier is within. (Well, the artifact seems to be protecting the inner space, so the transport should be fine if I fold into its space and then quickly jump out.) The transport then enters hyperspace as the Galactic fleet makes a last stand, one that is more like a slaughter. The transport manages to make its way into the space contained by the artifact just before it is ripped from hyperspace. Once inside the protected space the transport opens its bay and slides the artifact into the space contained within. Once inside the bay doors close and the shield goes on full power and it enters hyperspace. With the artifact gone the two quasars close in on each other and cause a massive explosion destroying everything within a three-galaxy radius. The transport finally makes its way to another dimension. (Hmmm. I'm not going to take this artifact to Scorn; it would give him to much power. I wouldn't be able to do anything then. And I can’t keep it for myself because someone is going to find out. Maybe I can bargain with Psysis or Galactic. Master Tech would have me killed on sight, so he isn't an option. Psysis might be willing to give me the plans to those tactical nukes in exchange, or maybe some energy to create more AERODs. This thing is to powerful to merely hand over for any small trifle. Hmmmm. What to do, what to do?) The transport sits in space, floating there waiting for a decision by Sokar.

The battle by the Cosmo-Diamond continued. The Destroyers had finished off the remaining Astro-Spears and were beginning to focus on the Cosmo-Diamond. Azure's forces, although badly damaged continued to the Cosmo-Diamond. They reached the surface of it and began to search for the hanger. They began to battle the mechs inside the hanger. Azure went back out to to surface of the ship. He pulled out his sword and cut a square in the hull. A few workers rushing off somewhere got sucked out by the vacume, after the hall depressurized, Azure jumped in. (Well, I can't use the halls that well while I'm in the mech, but I can still make my own way.) He used his sword and cut another hole in the wall, exposing a long shaft inside the wall. (Now this I can manuver in.) Far off he can hear the sounds of fighting. Before he jumped down the shaft he noticed a small map on the wall with a little blip on it saying 'You are here'. (Well, isn't that quaint.) He noticed where the main control room was and then downloaded a map of the ship off of a port in the map. He was able to plot a course to the main control room. He jumped down the shaft and engaged his thrusters, sending him up towards the top of the shaft.

As Grendari is moving toward the system through hyper-space, he sees on his computer screen that a massive explosion has occurred in that system, it seems to be about two and a half star systems wide. Grendari immediately exits hyper-space to see the brightest flash he had ever seen, followed by a great suction toward the epicenter. "Wow, the formation of a black hole! I've always wanted to see this. I wonder what happened to that artifact. I'm not getting any readings from it." Grendari's ship is jerked forward at about 5 m/s/s and is reading an abnormally strong curve in the space-time continuum from the black hole. "wwwha-oh." Grendari turns the ship around and punches the engines as much as he could. The ship slowly stops moving backward, and begins to move forward very, very slowly. "Wow, this must have formed from a really, really large star, or maybe two..." The maps update that region of space and plot the event horizon of the black hole. That is nine times the width of the event horizon of every other black hole ever charted. Grendari opens a comm. on all channels in all directions with a warning message underneath. "If anyone can read me, do not go in this area." He places the map on the screen. "The largest black hole ever formed has just been created in this area. As you can see, the event horizon is nine star systems in radius. This means that if you come within nine systems of the black hole, you will be pulled in and will be unable to escape from its gravitational-pull." Grendari then sends out a small satellite with the message playing over, and over, and over.

Master Galactic the lastest report from the cosmo-spear attack is in.
"Good what is your news?"
Sir we have lost 28 destroyers, 5,328 dragoons, 380 juggernauts, 12,089 aerotransformers, and about 28,000 fighters. They just now breached the ship.
"Ah it appears they accompliched their mission. Give the order to pull out at thier disgresion."
*meanwhile at the cosmo-spear*
Azure arrived at what was marked as main control room. There he sees an army waiting for him. The commander of the ship was on his com.
"Hahaha, man I can't believe you fell for that. Like Master Tech is that stupid. Well time to take him out boys."

(Oh shit, time to haul.) Azure jumped back down the shaft, bullets trailing after him. He fell down the shaft, draging his claw on the wall. Smoke billowed up from the damaged electronics, causing a smoke screen. Azure's claw caught on something and caused him to slam into the wall, breaking through it. Azure landed on the floor and looked around, he appeared to be in the comm room, there were many televisions showing the ensuing battle. The Dragoons were driving back the Aerozords from he saw. (Where is the generator for that weapon?) He linked up to the comms and found a large generator where a lot of scientists were around and a lot of guards.(Looks about right, now I have to get the ships to focus their attention on that spot.) He manuvered back out room and found the hole he originally made, there was still a lot of chaos around so he was able to get out of it. He opened a link with the Admiral of the Galactic ships. "Admiral, we can deactivate that beam weapon if we focus our attacks on this spot here." *he indicated the spot on a map of the Cosmo-Diamond*
Admiral:"I understand Commander Azure. Good work, you may return to HQ if you wish."
"No thanks, I thought I saw some weird artifact back there so I'm going to go check it out. Just focus on that spot and it should make this battle a whole lot easier." And with that Azure jetted back to the Cosmo-Diamond.
