Really? I've only seen it a couple of times since I've joined... doesn't seem like too much of a nusance... but you've been here a while bob, so perhaps your more eh, irritated by this kind of thing. I dunno what more should be done than just, well. Tell people to read the rules, eh?

Eh, I've been here only a few more months than you. It's not irritating because it happens all the time, it's because this site has an Introduction thread which almost always is showing on the main page, plus we have superplenty of these in the archives of the General section. Sometimes it just makes me ask, "Do people not get a clue?"

Not that I have anything against you, smiley. Everyone's done one of these once in their life, just use the Intro Thread to announce yourself, kay? :D

I keep saying, there should be an ultra-short version of the rules in the mail you receive when you sign up, or just something like:

"Please use only the introduction thread in General to introduce yourself. Also, read the rules if you haven't already done so."
