View Full Version : Episode 401: No, even WORSE than Alabama...

Well, of COURSE she was eventually gonna invite them in for dinner. And Sulk is in the hole!
Question is, what now?
:bmage: is mortal, the Earth Orb has been retrieved, time for Crescent Villiage? Just six hundred more episodes, and we can find out wether a class change occurs or not! I can just imagine Fighter with white magics... wait, no I can't, but it'd still be awesome.
By the way, when the hell are :wmage: and :bbelt: gonna show up again? Not exactly my favorite characters, mind you, but it's been awhile.
[EDIT] Just came to mind... why DID she marry a lord of undeath and give birth to a child of darkness in the first place? At least she's being a good sport about things.

Damn, You beat me to it. Oh well. I liked what :bmage: said. "It was like murder marinated in sin." Great stuff. Though, I think alabamas worst.

lol I see Brian is making with old Alabama jokes again, fueled by the lasting horrific trauma that comes from being there before (I know how it is, buddy, and I understand your pain ;) )
It seems like a nice conclusion to a chapter in 8BT. WM and BB might be traveling the Dwarven landscape, trying to undo all the damage Thief and BM had done. This could be a nice time to switch the story back over to WM and BB or the Dark Warriors.

"It goes to the worst place in the whole world."
"No, even worse than Alabama, but thanks for askin'."
Dear Lord...I'm bringing attempted murder charges against Brian for almost making me suffocate with how funny that comic was.

Looks like Brian succumbed to at least something related to The Cure.
I haven't lost any respect. Humor is hard to resist.
This seems sort of like a comic that was made to please the forumites in particular. Settle all our little wishes and expectations. A lot of what we said was wrapped up in this one.
Yeah, yeah, Kurosen, you don't ever use our ideas based on our ideas. I know. But it's still nicely wrapped up in ideas from a lot of forumites from before.
And so the Saga of Lich is over.
Perhaps there'll be some Orpheus type scene where Lich tries to retrieve his beloved from life, but I doubt it.

question...if there was still the 'Hellpothole' in the ground...why did BM try to dig back? couldn't he have just jumped down the Hellpothole? But on the behavior of the wife/mother, perhaps she was hoping something like that would happen? I mean...how much fun couild it be married to the 'King of Death'? The sex life couldn't be all that great, and having a permanently depressed son wouldn't be all that fun either I would think...but anyways I'm rambling...Poor Sulk...wonder if he'll meet Bubba?
Edit: and in regard to how BM can walk again, comming back to life usually does wonders(in game worlds anyways) for healing all bodily injuries that are life-threatening or debilitating in the way of not being able to walk

in response to this part of the post perhapse BM realised that if he jumped into that hole we would be in his fleshy form and thus the hell demons would stop his re~emergence. also with lich in hell Bm cant take it back over cause lich is more powerfull than BM cause he can use 10th level spells

O_Mega, that's White Mage's chest.
And I find it amusing that Vilbert's mother (At least so far) hasn't attempting to chew out the Light Warriors for what they did.
Plus the Sulk will be back. He's too well-liked around here.

Actually, I was half-expecting an enraged Mrs. Von Vampire to turn into Kary after I saw the first two panels. Whew.
But yeah, next up is probably Crescent Lake. Wonder what's gonna point the Light Warriors in that direction?

The title makes me think that they're going to have to fight Mrs. Von Vampire. Civility before hostility. I see some fighting, or some anti climactic way of the LW getting away from her wrath.

He's called The Sulk b/c he is permanently sad and morbid, just like his vampire friend.
And yes this was a great episode. I nearly smothered myself trying not to laugh out load (I be in shool, laughing during class is very bad :p )

Why is it that Sulk had to go to jail? If he was smart, he should of just jumped into the hell-pothole and Sulk for al eternally (which isn't to far from the truth about what happens to him on a day to day basis). Oh, and the part about meatloaf and muder marinated in sin, classic.

I really liked how Mrs. VonVampire really looked on the bright side of things. Probably why she and Lich hooked up anyway, she's the bright side to his darkness and whatnot. I mean, sure her son was stabbed dozens of times with furniture and her husband was sent to Hell, but by golly someone's gonna eat that meatloaf!
And while I've never been to Alabama, the sheer whiteness of that picture shall haunt me for the rest of my days...

"Murder marinated in sin"--Priceless.
I feel sad for Sulk, for going to jail. But, I think he'll be ok. After all, Martha Stewart will be there to keep him company. In fact, I think a simple palette swap of this monster (http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=020806) would make an excellent Martha Stewart sprite. :D And if you don't think they'd be a great pair, just look at Sulks last comment.

Considering what she must have gone through on a daily basis already (given her husband and son), I'm not too surprised tahat Mrs. Von Vampire wasn't fazed. She probably has an impressive array of coping mechanisms, though I'll bet she could snap if, say, someone insulted her cooking.

Well, Vilbert is officially dead (think he'll go to hell? He hasn't done anything visibly bad... I think...), & Lich ain't comin' back from Hell. Anyone think Sara will take up the job? She'd make a perfect counterbalance (for lack of a better word) to Drizz'l (Bwhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!)... and Lord knows what Garland and Bikke will do without her assistance...

Wasn't Vilbert already dead, what with being a vampire and all? As I recall, Lich showed up before they found his heart with the Armoire.
Oh, wait, I guess itwasn't his Gothicular Membrane (http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=040205) after all.
FLASH! Mrs. Von Vampire the fourth Dark Warrior? Between her meatloaf and Garland's cookies, the devilish denizens of darkness will be well-fed indeed!

Here's some basic chronology for you:
Vilbert steals Earth Orb from the Dwarves
Lich uses the Earth Orb for his transformation into a Lich
What does this tell us? That Vilbert's vampirism, and therefore his birth, preceded Mr. Von Vampire's transformation into a Lich, by quite some time. He wasn't always the dessicated Skeletor he is today.

I say BM tries to hadoken his way back into hell
Fifthfiend
03-31-2004, 02:08 AM
A couple things that occurred to me --
-Why hasn't BM killed himself yet? Can't he just Hadoken himself, incinerate his body in the process, and go back to being the unstoppable Hellmaster?
-Does this mean that BM is functionally unkillable? I mean, yeah, BM could be killed, but anybody who did so would then have to face BM the Hell King, with his limitless power and 14 senses. I suppose anybody who wants to threaten Black Mage now would have to wipe him out of existence, or something.

thats a good point fifthfiend, but, who knows this other than a small handful of people? Namely: Thief, RM, Fighter(well...in a clueless sort of way), and Lich. WM had that whole 'disturbance in the balance of Order thing goin' on, and the witch lady had the crystal ball message inturrupting her lotto cheating, neither knew that BM was the one causing it. honestly...if someone told you 'if you kill me I'll take over hell and come back to torture you for all eternity' would you believe them? And as far as BM killing himself, that would technically count as a good deed, since he's a 'Nexus' of Evil Power, removing himself from the world would be a good deed, far overshadowing his NUMEROUS evil deeds, so he'd goto heaven, and with so much goody goody froo froo touchy-feely power up there...well...he'd turn into a fighter version of a black mage, his mind would be 'purified' in a fashion and well...he'd go brain dead *nods sagely*

You've forgotten all of the demons and such that live in hell. I would think that they would only tell the evilest of evil guys, so he doesn't have that many people to worry about. I'm still curious as to what their going to do about the giant hole that leads straight to hell. Is BM going to finally remember it(since he has seemingly forgotten it), and try to jump down it. If he did it would probably destroy his body, making him permanently all powerful as testified in this comic (http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=040325).
Nadine
03-31-2004, 12:14 PM
Even if he was able to reach hell, would BM even be able to take over again? I'd assume that the demons would be more prepared the second time around, and it's not likely that BM could count on the loyalty of any of his former subjects...
Just Jon
03-31-2004, 12:45 PM
It all depends on how powerful BM really is. If he can tap into and fully use the nexus of dark magic that makes his entire being, then there's probably a good chance he could still subjugate the races of Hell. But if Lich can use those same powers, then it would be a large war. We know Lich could use 10th level spells when he was (undead) living (so he claimed), and in Hell he's probably even more powerful.
But without a body holding him back and the ability to most likely use those 10th level spells and probably make some of his own just because he could, BM would still have a good chance of re-taking hell. I don't think the legions ever really had a chance against him anyway. So it all comes down to Lich vs. BM in an all out hell, possibly in a cell of some sort.
MasterOfMagic
03-31-2004, 05:02 PM
I think that BM would kill of Lich(without ant supporting evidence), IF the hordes of demons didn't join in the battle. Considering what BM did while ruling, and the fact that they helped Lich overthrow him, I'd say they would be against BM. If they did join in then it probably evens it out.
