Infinite Undiscovery. Combat is good. I like it better than FFXII's and being able to do sneak attacks is nice. The game seems a bit too easy, but I'm pretty early in the game so it probably gets harder. So far, I'm digging it, but I have one major complaint about the game. The level design sucks balls.

I'm at the forest. La-Di-Da-Di. Going through a series of back and forth twists and turns, until, after I've gone really quite far, I get a cutscene. Oh noes, an ogre! I gotta run. But where? Is it behind where he showed up? Maybe! I tried to go that direction, but I got a dead end. Maybe I just thought it was a dead end because the forest is too dark and the part of that path I'm supposed to continue down is in some obscure fucking corner. Maybe it's somewhere a little ways back and I didn't notice it because the forest is TOO FUCKING DARK AND TWISTY. I understand that the forest is supposed to be dark and twisty, but there's a point where you gotta draw the line in the name of intuitive level design, and they crossed that line with a delighted leap. I ended up going back to the very beginning looking for either some path I'd missed, or hoping to trigger another cutscene. Got back to the beginning of the forest, ogre trapped me in a corner. I died. Gotta start from the beginning of the forest now. Fuck.

It doesn't help that you can't skip any of the mini cutscenes. And the boringness of those is heightened by the fact that most of them don't have voice acting. I like the gameplay, but the game does things as if it wants to make me angry.

That said, the bad guys apparently chained the moon to the earth. That's pretty bad ass and I can't really argue with something like that. I just hope I get to go to the moon. Preferably by whale.

The voice actingless cutscenes get less frequent as time goes on thankfully. The second disc is unfortunately kind of disappointing. Also, the first disc is about 7 hours long. I am not exaggerating even a little here. If you thought the level design sucks now just you wait until later.
