It's been really good lately! The "Year in the Life of a Villain" thing he just did has just been, like, the Sluggiest damn thing that Sluggy's done in ages.

Seriously. I've been waiting for him to get back to this plot forever.

Yeah I'm really happy to see that Sluggy's sloughed off all this nonsense about extradimensional pirates and schools of magic and demonically haunted houses and has gotten back to the basics, like inflatable spaceships and sinister pizzerias and mad-science-created assassins.
Seriously though Sluggy has always been at its best when it gets nigh-incestuously self-referential and lately Abrams has been humping his continuity like he paid it money for the priviledge. Torg and Zoe! Oasis project! Hereti-corp reborn! God I love this shit. All we need now is for a bikini-clad girl with a frisbee to knock over the milk dish for a litter of deceptively adorable-looking kittens and it'll be the most shamelessly sloppy Slug-fest there's ever been.

I am glad to hear that as I've been meaning to get back into reading Sluggy for, well years now.

That Which Redeems is still the best damn arc in the whole comic though.

Lies. Holiday Wars was the best, and you know it.
I'm really liking bROKEN. Although I pretty much like all the Sluggy Arcs.

Holiday Wars is retroactively tainted due to its having led into Oceans Unmoving.

I like Oceans Unmoving, but it should have been released as a graphic novel and not put up as part of the ongoing strip. It was a really good story, but not remotely suited to the format in which it was told.
Loved the anti-climax.

I like Oceans Unmoving
So time to update the ol' list I guess

I enjoyed it, even though it was completely fucking incomprehensible. Pete Abrams is that good of a writer.

How was I not already there? Do I need to rape the plot of Chrono Trigger even more?

Damn straight. Dangerous Days is pretty close though.
And I agree this new arc is shaping up pretty good. It also seems like they're gonna answer some long running questions, though it seemed like that back in the last Oasis arc and all we got was "She could be a ghost... maybe", so I'm not getting my hopes up on seeing Daedalus' face or finding out who Kusari is(the clue we got about her being someone the cast knows and trusts might be all we get). Not complaining though, that's what Sluggy is and it's why I keep reading it.

You were on the list people who would be total cockbags but are mercifully redeemed by not liking Oceans Unmoving or anything unspeakably atrocious like that.
...Naw in serious I did like the idea of Oceans it's just that the reality of it was like, eight times longer than it ever reasonably should have been.
Just started reading when you guys started this thread, I'm liking it more and more the further I get into it. I'm at the Omnitaser Supreme story-arc.

That was one of the funniest things I've read in a long time.

Oh good, we can use NonCon as a gauge for how Oceans Unmoving is if you read is straight through the first time instead of waiting for updates. Get to work, NonCon.

Ahem...
I read through Oceans Unmoving straight through.
And as I said, good, if a bit incomprehensible.

Oceans Unmoving is a lot more manageable if you take it as one shot. I read about 1/4th, a 1/3rd through it before I had to stop (due to unbearableness) when it was initially updating, but when I went back and read through the entire archives a year ago, it wasn't that bad. That happens with a lot of Pete's more plot heavy and serious storylines.
I guess you could call Sluggy as written for the archive.

No, the non story/drama heavy plots are very nice day by day. It's just certain stories are better suited for the collection format than the strip format.

Okay, so I'm reading through the archives, and I keep hitting big chunks of strips that are unavailable. Anyone know what's up with that?

He probably started cleaning up the archives and never finished, leaving them broken.

Try messing around with the url to get the next strip, or use the calendar if he has one (I can't remember, and I'm far to wealthy to check for myself). It's probably only a few broken linkss that are just keeping you out of those sections.

Nah. It takes me to the page the strip's supposed to be on, but the top menu's all text instead of images, and there's no comic in the slot it should be in.

Have you tried alternate realities? I'm sure there's one around where the links are working. Otherwise, it shouldn't be too hard for you to tweak the timestream a bit and create one.
Holy shit, it's...Sam? Badass Sam.
