These guys just seem to have some really trippy songs. Something about their music makes me think of Secret of Mana when I listen to it, especially Souls (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvAkhS0WgFk). Don't know why.

Anyone else heard them? I don't know if they're popular or not, but you can find a few of their music videos on Youtube. I'm a big fan of the song Timekiller.

They were really big name in the 90s when their presence was all over the industrial scene. I've kinda grown burned out on them though..was something of my high school phase industrial so I listened to them a LOT. Their album Daimonion is timeless though..I daresay it was Project Pitchfork's best album in terms of quality and variety.

Since you like these guys I'm going to do a somewhat minor deviation and suggest poking around with these other big names of the genre. Bolds for extra emphasis gets:
Stromkern (I HIGHLY suggest picking up anything from Stromkern, they're fuckin' amazing. Their sound layering is absolutely masterful.)
Dismantled (See above)
Cruciform Injection
Haujobb
Icon of Coil
VNV Nation
Cut.Rate.Box
Snog
Frontline Assembly
Front 242
Cesium-137
Skinny Puppy
Ohgr (Nivek Ogre's[Skinny puppy] sideproject, significant difference in style)
Seabound
Covenant
Assemblage 23
Pain Station
and possibly some Apoptygma Berserk (pre-you and me against the world...trust me on this one. They took a real nosedive into some horribad genre-shift shit.)

All in all, Project Pitchfork is a damn good gateway band for the extremely broad industrial genre.

Yeah, I like VNV nation. I have found that Saviour, for some reason, suits the airship levels in Mario 3 PERFECTLY.

I'll check out some of the others though.

Wow, some one actually likes Project Pitchfork? Sweetness. Grandmaster_Skweeb got me stuck on last.fm looking up what I haven't heard yet. Still, here's my own list.
Haujobb: Got it. Love it.
VNV Nation: Got it. Love it.
Frontline Assembly: Got it. Like it.
Covenant: Got it. Like it.
Assemblage 23: Got it. Love it.
Apoptygma Berserk: Got it. I can't believe some one agrees they're garbage after "You and Me Against the World." In fact, I find it hard to believe some one else even heard of the dang band.

Other bands you might sample...

Stochastic Theory
Imperative Reaction
Depeche Mode ("Playing the Angel" album was my digital crack in 2005)

Bands you might not sample...

Chiasm (People complain about poor mixing. What-ever...)
Broken Spindles (An acquired taste, at best *om nom nom*)
The Birthday Massacre (I've been ranting about them since 2002, but some crazy friend of mine says he hates female vocals. if you want electronic elements, start with the Looking Glass album, where the official remixes lurk)
