Art of Hilt

I think the McNinja we've been following already has all the clones back in him, except for the one captured by pirates who was busy learning Agriculture.
Also Ben Franklin straight up tells those dudes who is the boss and who is the clone. Good way of avoiding the ridiculous "I DON'T KNOW WHO TO SHOOT" scenarios.

I want to know why the clones just go along with this plan. Wouldn't "rejoining" McNinja prime equal death to them? Or is their consciousnesses combined with his along with their memories? Cause that should turn him into something like Alpha from Dollhouse.
Although, if they can get around or handwave that problem, this would be the most awesome use for cloning yet. :3

I guess the latter; Franklin saying that it would be simpler if only one McNinja has a 'life' suggests that multiple McNinjas having a life would result in a weird multiple-personality-memory thing upon recombination. So it would really be in their best interests for there to only be one, I'd think.
Aerozord
01-23-2010, 09:47 PM
from what I can tell I think its because of Doc's own innate obsession with learning. They are perfectly ok with spending nearly a decade studying for no reason but to add to their collective knowledge.
He wouldn't really have multiple personalities since the core of his personality is the same in all of them and they wouldn't do much beyond study so he shouldn't end up crazy, plus one probably has a degree to solve any issues.
That is not to say he did that. In fact I think he just plain forgot that he had a clone army out there, and the clones probably forgot too. Take what he said in the last panel. He didn't expect to do more then learn medicine, just like the others didn't expect to do more then learn, whatever. They probably all stuck with their respective fields.

did he stop it? I mean didn't we have ninja zombies running around like, 3 chapters ago. Sure it wasn't an apocalypse, but I think thats mostly because of his other counter measures
Viridis
02-10-2010, 09:23 PM
I'm assuming the events from that chapter are what he was trying to stop. He somehow saw the events of Chapter 5 from the future (maybe the future's a zombie wasteland) and came back to stop it. He wrongly assumed it had something to do with that cloning project, hence the fight we just saw. Then he got stuck in 1979 and decides to prepare for the zombies in the way we saw back in Chapter 5. Very, very interesting.
We can maybe assume there's a pre-time travel version where Goodrich's countermeasures weren't in place and the ninja zombies spread and did cause an apocalypse.
Now let's watch me get proven wrong!

I think it's A mix of the Inverse Ninja law and A reversal of The power of Friendship.
We already Know how the Inverse Law works. depending on how unique a person is is how close they are to 1 (or Badass) so when the Doc showed up looking like him It cut him inhalf.
Second We know By the Power of Friendship laws that a person that accepts the Friendship slips out of The IN law and into the law of Distribution Of Ninjutsu (in which the Person who befriended him then becomes more powerful and the Person befriended stays the same but boosts the other dood.

Today's comic made my day. The rest of the day could be crap, and this comic would balance it out.

Here's the thing, it's all based on the 80's evil-ninjas-get-beat-buy-rough-detectives idea (the whole thing that made Franz a star). That's what Doc is using to survive, now that it's back to 1 on 1 we'll see how Franz get's beaten down by the Doc.

Okay todays was awesome even by McNinja standards.
I spy, with my little eye, a ninja who's about to die.

HA! I just realized that Gordito is going to be the army of one.

Gordito's story would be amazingly creepy from the point of view of a pirate, alone as he hunts them down one by one.

Does this mean Gordito gets extra Katanaka presents.

Look at Dan and Mitzi's faces. He gets all the Katanaka presents.
Edit: Really wish I could post again and bump this but whatever. The Judy/kitten arc is priceless.
