Am I the only one who thinks they're somehow just going to manage to find their ways back? I mean, the OWs have been to the moon, for crying out loud. They have travel abilities on par with Black Belt in some cases.
Cleric's gone! Woot! Dance Party! Celebrate! That lil non-believing pact making doucharetic is flippin outta here!!!!!!
Hoorah!!!
Why do I detest what white robed scunp so much? I probably do because I'm supposed, i think he's hilarious and all... but he's gone woot!!!
And Rogue... the pointless flapoff who spoiled all of thief's elfishness. (Heard this one before? Thief puts the elfishness in Selfishness?)
Somehow though... I think that Ranger's arrow might simple pierce through Sarda's god like mind warping, reality swabbing doohiklestick magic.
Die you Other bastards die!!!!!!!!
Aw, nuts. I was the world's only Rogue fan and now he's gone. Damn his weak faith.

More Sarda appearance make me a happy Megatrauma. (And I longed for more Sarda episodes oh so long!)
To those who say that the OWs are dying, I do firmly believe that there was never an indication or hint given that they actually have passed away. As far as I look at it, they're simply mis-placed in time and space. Or in some ugly ass parallel universe, also known as a better place.
Not like the beach, or the moon, or the other place.

Ranger (what do you call him here?) DOES have an exceptionally good point about that making sense... And although I don't want to sound like I signed up just to say this, (even though I did!) but I think this is a way of reducing the amount of characters he has to write for. DON'T KILL ME!
Although I am liking how they are getting wiped out/sent elsewhere, a place like the beach, but definitely NOT the moon, even though I liked them.
And I have the strangest feeling Ranger will win...
Man, just seeing "Copyright 2009" gets me giddy.

Sarda losing? It wouldn't be 8-bit.
Ranger's chances of winning were already nonexistent. Using a bow and arrow probably just dropped it to -50.

Teleporting the best warrior group somewhere where they can't do anything is evil deed indeed. Damn you Sard.. Brian!
So I want Ranger to win just this one time. If Ranger wins, I may cheer all of them.
You know what?
I never liked the other warriors anyway. They were such flat characters.
I'm glad, they're gone.
If their some form of dead now, they're probably playing Poker with Black Belt and the fiends right now. I hope that Black Belt wins.
Every time Sarda is threatened, I hope it'll finally be the time he dies.
He won't. He never will. I really need to accept this.

Given Sarda's penchant for lying, I would say Ranger is the only one to die.

Is it just me, or does Rogue's teleportation look particularly painful? Like his existence is being erased or something.
Also, if Ranger uses that five arrows at once technique, it would be fitting if Sarda made it so that he hits himself or they are teleported around the world and hit characters like the "real" Light Warriors or the Messenger. If Ranger wins and is the only Other Warrior left, I will be a little sad as he was the only 1 of the four I didn't really like.
If their some form of dead now, they're probably playing Poker with Black Belt and the fiends right now. I hope that Black Belt wins.
Why would Black Belt and, of all people, the Other Warriors be in the same level of afterlife with the Fiends? Okay, Black Belt might have gotten lost or something, Ranger might be a mass murderer, Berserker is sometimes horrible, Cleric might be denied into Heaven on account of not having faith, and Rogue is sort of a Lite Thief/Akbar/Jeff -1, but still, they couldn't comprehend the idea of kidnapping on account of being too nice (and stupid).

It's making fun of both. Cleric's demand for a rational explanation of events gets him killed. Rogue's faith that he'll be okay has no impact on the reality of the situation.

I looked it and I would say it's more of background than any piercing. There's empty space in Rogue's sprite near the ear and shoulder if I looked it right.
But in other news, Ranger is the Fighter of Other warriors.

Hmm... on the one hand Sarda is all powerful, so can't loose, but on the other, he's the Onion Kid's guardian so he has to die.
Orestes
01-24-2009, 09:55 PM
Well, everyone who becomes the Onion Kid's guardian must die.
Yet no one can kill (or really even meaningfully fight) Sarda.
Except, possibly ...
Sarda.
So my prediction is that, somehow, Sarda will manage to kill Sarda.
So who else thinks Ranger will kill Sarda?
Just seems like the perfect set up for that somehow happening. Or at least someone else coming in and killing him while Ranger has him distracted.

Sarda is apparently filled with nothing but hatred after billions of years alone.
Black Mage's Hadoken is fueled by love.
Black Mage has poor aim.
Think about that, and then you will realize the only way Sarda can die.

I have every faith that Sarda will not only kill Ranger (Or, rather, send him to a place LIKE the beach, but NOT the moon), Sarda will also likely UNMAKE Onion Kid before he was ever born.
Or it could be that Sarda will do a dramatic reveal to Onion Kid. "Onion Kid, I am...YOU! I'm going to teach you to hate everything now."
That's perfect! Whilst distracted by Ranger, Onion Kid could kill Sarda.
Onion kid is unarmed, and has never even tried to kill anyone.
So, of course, you must be right, by 8bit logic.

There's only one way for Ranger to kill Sarda. The way I see it, Sarda isn't invincable, but he can control reality, so when you attack him he'll just erase you from existance or somehow prevent you from doing anything. But he can only do this if he is conscious of your attack. However, being all-knowing like he is, he is always conscious of everything all of the time. So the only way Ranger can beat Sarda is to mention Drownball, temporarily unhinging him, and then shoot him in the face.

No, it is fueled by love, in that love is the fuel that is forced into a coherent beam of destruction, and thereby burned off.
Thats like saying cars arent fueled by gasoline because because you put gasonline in them and it disappears.

I concur. First, "six of the verb tenses" - funny, but also something that most people would never come up with. Then a calm "This is an alarming trend." to the disappearance of half their team right before their eyes. Then the fantastic explanation of it as a satisfying pattern! That must have been the best of all.
The dry "That's a shame." - so short, but still so funny. And then confidently picking up a bow and an arrow, after witnessing this awesome show of force. Very funny! Oh, and also practically every other sentence on the page. Brian is hilarious. :D

He was a funny guy, yeah, but he also had his badass moments. The way he finally managed to slay Kraken after that whole one-on-one battle arc... It was brilliant. It brought tears to my eyes.
Then Brian realized he had to clean up that plot hole when Bard got unmade, so he had to come up with some stupid contrived blather about Red Mage performing an auto-Ceasarian section or something, man, I don't remember, I'm so depressed just thinking about it that I can't be bothered to check.
Bard sounds like Gary Stu to me.
No wonder that Sarda unmade him.
