View Full Version : Creator-Preservor-Destroyer OR Why Sarda Must Die

So what we have here is a case where WM created the Universe and then disappeared completely to give way to Sarda who managed things up till now. If the trend continues it seems to me that Sarda must somehow "disappear" to make way for the Destroyer, probably BM, so that the cycle can be made complete. Thus I am guessing that the Onion Kid is going to lose yet another guardian.

Did WM create the universe? Or did Sarda just lead WM to believe that?
In Sarda's ascended logic, the concept of existence and non-existence could be a false dilemma, why does something have to be created to exist? Simple! To appeal to the limited minds that cannot comprehend the layers of reality Sarda lives in.

I think it's interesting that people even try to rationalize Sarda's situation, where in fact he's made it quite clear that his position is too obfuscated from reason for mortals to understand, which should clearly include the readers of the comic.

C',mon, I respect alternative view points, but that is still stretching it. The story thus far leads us to believe that it was WM who did it. Sarda even commented about how he knew what people he screwed with felt like now.

Anyways, Sarda has two running trends going against him and pointing to him dying. My guess is that Ranger will kill Sarda in some improbable way and become the new guardian of Onion Kid, thus sealing Ranger's fate as well.

We know that Black Mage is the Destroyer (http://www.nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=040320). At least, in his Hell King form.

Something difficult to precisely identify about the latest comic (Sarda-Ranger confrontation) makes me think Sarda is about to die.

Something difficult to precisely identify about the latest comic (Sarda-Ranger confrontation) makes me think Sarda is about to die.

1) The fact that Ranger is still alive despite the fact that Sarda could have finished him by now?

2) The way Sarda sent the O'kid into another room?

3) The way its anticlimatic for Ranger to die and we want to see something interesting?

4) The other two reasons I have already listed?

Who says he was screwing with her by doing that? I'd take a wild guess, but when you are above the level of gods and try to explain to mortals who worship them the truths of the matter they tend to be disenchanted, like with all magic -> science.
He could have been preserving her mental and emotional wellbeing for all I know, among millions and millions of other possible theories pertaining to obscure metaphysics and an equally obscure house pantheon.

More like how Sarda suddenly and inexplicably started talking like an amalgamation of Black Mage and Red Mage.

Awake was talking about when Sarda realized that he screwed himself over by sending her to the "pocket dimension". (http://nuklearpower.com/daily.php?date=041230)

I think if Sarda was going to die it would have been when Berserker tried to Berserk him, something tells me he won't die though. Maybe because of how omnipotent he is. Or because the universe exists to hurt BM and nothing would make him happier than Sarda dying. Or that fact that Ranger and Ranger and was bested by Red Mage and Black Mage.

Or maybe it's the fact that I really wanna see Ranger die and like Sarda.

Or because the universe exists to hurt BM and nothing would make him happier than Sarda dying and then BM and WM doing it on top of his mutilated corpse.

Fixed your post.

We all like Sarda, but you have to remember that we are gearing towards the end now.

That's not necessarily true. All Brian said is that it's going to end at some point in the future. It could still be years before it ends for all we know.

Didn't Brian state that it was all ending at the Temple of Fiends?

This comic made me quite literally lol, but I can't help but nitpick that the lower bows aren't even nocked.

Who says they won't leave and come back?

Hmm... good point. But we just witnessed the death of 3 of the Other Warriors, and something will happen to either Sarda or Ranger. Something must be happening here.

or nothing. It could flash to someone saying "And that's why you shouldn't take on Sarda" It'd be like Brian to do that.

Out of curiosity, what kind of character was Sarda in the game itself?

He was just an NPC who served the purpose of helping you get past one little roadblock in the first orb's cavern. He's no more important than any other NPC that helps you at one single point in the game who you never have to see again. As far as I'm concerned, he's a piece of sh*disappears*

After you beat the Vampire in the Earth Cave, you grab a ruby and feed it to a titan/giant in order to get to Sarda's (IIRC it's Sadda in the better translations) cave and he gives you a rod of the earth in order to get further into the Earth Cave and slay the Lich (in order to relight the Orb/Crystal of Earth). That's it. None of the characters really have a personality or anything as they each get like 3-5 sentences worth of lines.

Blackmage would be happy if he himself could kill Sarda.
He would be confused that how in the fuck Ranger could kill Sarda.
That would make Blackmage despressed because he is not worth of anything anymore. Fucking Ranger was better than him.

The last straw would be that Blackmage see how Ranger and Whitemage walk together to the sundown.

I miss those older comics, the ones where BM just thinks to himself "fuck it" and ends everything. Usually ends up with him waking up from a dream, but it's hilarious nonetheless. I think it would be highly amusing for BM to take his hat off again.

Would that end the world, now, that he's a (supossely) mightier Blue Mage?
