Hmm... why would Sarda not find his own life's story interesting?
Unless he's heard it before.

I did say that ranger would have to actually find out before it would matter. Unfortunately, I doubt he lived long enough to figure out that it was his attack that killed her, a pity really. Still, dead is dead, and he found that at least.
Doesn't the entire party start out as the onion kid class in the game its from?

Now I'm convinced Sarda will be there until the bitter end, only to die by something completely harmless and unintentional (e.g. "raspberries! My only weakness!").
I want to see a fully-powered Onion Kid with the Onion armours and sword, as funny as that would look. I wonder why they called the class "Onion" kid anyway.

Most of the sprites and the original plot are from FF1. Onion Knight is from FF3.

There's blackmages, whitemages, fighters, redmages, blackbelts, thieves in FF3 and other warriors' sprites are from that game and Garland's sprite is modified from M. Knight. So those jerks may very well be onion knight.
And really, most of the sprites are from the FF3. Blackbelt and Thief are the only sprites which can't be found in the FF3. Even Sara is taken from FF3.

I'm still guessing Sarda will be killed by Dragoon finding the Holy Lance on the Moon, somehow by King Steve, or accidentally by Black Mage, Onion Kid, or Sarda. Fighter, Red Mage, or White Mage would also work, but I don't know how.
Most of the sprites and the original plot are from FF1. Onion Knight is from FF3.I would say about half the sprites are from FF3. Hell, besides Bikke, does any major character who is alive still use a FF1 sprite?

I think that Bikke is actually sprite made by Sky Warrior Bob, but I may be mistaken. What I know though is that there wasn't that kind sprite in orginal game.
And you forget Whitemage.
And just think about it, Sarda's sprite is from FF3!
Edit:// Here's some sprites from Final Fantasy (http://www.videogamesprites.net/FinalFantasy1/NPCs/Individuals/Men.html), so basically I think that SWB has made Bikke for Brian. And I've played the orginal game and don't recall seeing Bikke's sprite other than that "overworld" sprite, but well, my memory is my memory.

Why would he find the Holy Lance on the moon? Maybe he'll just bump into Cecil or something, and then they'll both hitch a ride on the Golden Chocobo to the planet again, and then Cecil will teach Fighter how to become a Paladin and banish his dark side, and then Cecil will die tragically leaving Fighter to be his living legacy, only Fighter forgets, so he spends half the game thinking that he's the other guy and getting his mind messed with and oh no I think I've been derailed.

In Japanese, at least at the time FF3 was made, 'onion' was slang for poor. So Onion Kid/Knight = poor kid/knight.

Well, if Sarda refuses to die, I hope this act of closing the page on the Other Warriors at least means we can cut back to the funny characters now (the ones who are still alive, at least) -- which is to say, any characters at all in the comic who aren't Sarda.
I love this comic, so I hate being critical, but I'm convinced the only amusing thing I could see Sarda do is die humorously.

I said it before, and I'll say it again.
People bitch and moan about the lack of plot, but when Brian caps somebody, which most definitely counts as moving the plot along, or in this case, tying up loose ends (Think of all the people who would have asked what happened to the other warriors.) people bitch and moan about that, too.
It's like people have their idea about how this story is "supposed" to go, and their idea of "moving the plot along" is anything that pushes it in that direction. If Brian does anything else, it's either "filler," or a "bad plot decision," or an "unnecessary character kill."
Am I the only person here who is just along for the ride?
Oh, by the way, I thought this comic was hilarious, although I do think that you could have avoided much of the concern the last two comics have aroused regarding unnecessary violence against women by giving Ranger a husband, instead.
That would have been totally politically correct and socially safe.
Edit: Please note that the last bit of this post was sarcastic in nature. I am not advocating violence against any group based on sex or sexual preference.

Nah, I'm totally for killing off more characters. Like for example, maybe next Sarda and Thief, the least and second-least funny characters, respectively (imo).
BM, RM and Fighter could linger on a little more for the lulz, and to fail at nearly everything, but eventually, they should die, too. Killing off nearly everyone would be a great and fitting way to end the comic, actually.
So I mean, don't think I hate Sarda because I liked Ranger (actually, I liked Cleric way more, but oh well, he's gone, so what). I just hate Sarda because I find him boring and not funny, and to me, 8-bit Theater is all about funny.

Well, if Sarda gets bored and decides to use his infinite power do destroy all evil, it wouldn't surprise me if blackmage somehow killed him in such a way that whitemage blamed herself. Then for fighter, he said he can block any attack and kill anything that bleeds. pretty sure if he thought sarda was evil and tried to kill him, he could win.

Perhaps I was misunderstood. All the stuff that everyone else refers to as "filler" or the other things I mentioned are fine with me. It's Clevinger's comic, and he can do what he wants with it. What I'm saying is that I find it funny how people gripe about him not moving the plot along, but when he does move it along, they then bitch about HOW he moves it along.
I like the way things have been going lately, and like I said, I'm just along for the ride.

Edit: Oh, right. I wanted to mention that I caught the Chapelle reference.
Brian did a great job referrencing Chapelle, O.J., and Sarda in this multi-pun strip.
yay.
But the comic is getting a bit morbid. We need some teletubbies or something to lighten the mood after all this death.

Well, you can never please all of the people all of the time. I know some people like Sarda, and I'd have to be pretty dumb to think the whole comic's going to be tailored just to my taste. I just thought I'd come out of lurking to throw my two cents' in, mostly because I was kind of hoping I'd get my crazy wish sometime during this encounter. ;)
So it was just kind of a letdown. But oh well. I'll just re-lurk and quietly look forward to more BM, RM and Fighter hijinks, with the occasional King Steve/EPS interlude.

Oh, don't be silly. Today's hip young teens don't care about the colourful stories of yesteryear - they thrive on the hard stuff, and so the new, grittier, darker 8-Bit should be unanimously hailed as a resounding success.
