Often forgotten, not nearly often enough remembered, the Search Tag cloud is a system that helps you look for threads and subjects by a simple tag system. Click on the Tag, and all threads tagged with that tag are tag back at your tagged tag.

But often, just a bit beyond the surface, the Search Tag Cloud can tell you a lot about a community. It's people, and what they think or feel. They can even help moderators do their jobs. Today, we're going to explore that.

On a different note, i find it funny how sometime as small and silly as a search tag cloud can tell you much about a community, plus, you people tag your threads with the most weird crap i've seem online...

I'd wager these are the only tags that exist rather than the most searched for, because we switched that function off right quick after it was introduced.

See, you either use a function like this to fuck around or 100% seriously. There's quite literally no middle ground - if you want a working search system for topics and subjects, you can't have tags like "brian's not awesome enough" or "fifth hates money" floating around. Conversely if you just want to have a system for funny annotations you don't want to have people around making an effort to keep the whole thing serious and spoiling your fun.

The exact same thing, ya know. What you'd need to do to use a tag system properly is pick one way of expressing one subject or use both tags - either way, you have to stick with the accepted method all the time.
